I've had a guy who grew up in Northern Italy tell me that all the southern Italians are lazy slobs because it's too hot down there to get anything done. The US is not the only place with prejudice against the south.

I remember hearing when the Atlas engine came out that 7 and 8 cylinder variants were possible. What happened here? also, have their been 7 cylinder non-radial engines before this?

If a $19k Cobalt is too much for me, unless Ford bends over backwards for my business I don't see how a $23k Fusion is going to come out any cheaper. Plus that's too much car for me. As for the Focus I hate the styling. I'd rather have an Elantra to be quite frank.

Actually the deal wasn't that bad, it was the 8.89% financing that went with it that really killed the numbers. I think in the end I'll just keep my car until $h! happens.

I know... I was just thinking that if there was a good deal, why not take it? Seems the complete opposite really...

So I thought that now might be a good time to replace my '05 Cobalt with a new one - I know, how often do people do that? ...but it's been good to me. Priced out an '09 with pretty much the same options, trading in the old one, and some GM Visa points used, and still... the payment over 48 months is $413. My payment now is $444. Wow, such a compelling deal GM... give me a break! How do they expect to come out of a slump if they have news like this going on and they have no incentives? ps. and this was on a day where they brought in 'deal-makers' from the US to sell them at no-haggle prices. The previous quote was MORE than what I'm paying now! They quoted $465/mo.

Low flow toilets really do suck. They had them at my last contract office and almost every time I was in the bathroom and heard a flush it was immediately followed by at least one more flush.

I think it's hard to get some people out of your life. I think in a lot of ways my life would be easier if I were an a-hole. I have one friend in particular who I'm basically friends with because I feel bad for her. I've even given her some major opportunities to help herself a couple of times, and she always ends up in the same sad situation. I've got to get rid of her eventually, because I realized that I really do NOT want this girl at my wedding, or to hear the bitching that will ensue if she finds out that it happened and she wasn't invited. It's going to be difficult because she sees me as her only true friend, she's told me this - but I really don't even feel that we are friends. Should I just be an ass here, or is there a nice way to do this?
