Although both Ram and Toyota have shown they are ready and willing to give Ford's SVT Raptor supertruck a challenge, one notable truck maker still declines to join the fight: General Motors. That, however, could be set to change soon. GM registered the "Z71 Trail Boss" trademark with the US Trademark and Patent Office on January 14, 2015. The trademark filing states the name is to be used on passenger vehicles, specifically light duty pickups. The new trademark – the "Trail Boss" portion of the name especially – suggests that there could be new, souped-up versions of GM's Z71 spec Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra pickups in the pipeline. How GM could upgrade its Z71 Siverado and Sierra trucks remains to be seen, but we can speculate. It's possible, for example, a Silverado Z71 Trail Boss truck could be a simple appearance package for Z71 trucks akin to the current All Terrain models of the GMC Sierra and GMC Canyon, but it is also possible it could be a direct answer to Ford's Raptor with the hardware and off-road chops to match. And if a recent trademark filing is any indication, FCA could have yet another special model on its way to buyers in the future. FCA filed for the Golden Eagle trademark with the United States Trademark and Patent Office on December 12, 2014. If the Golden Eagle name sounds familiar to you, it should: it was first used on special edition Jeep models in the late '70s, and as recently as 2006. Golden Eagle edition Jeeps typically carried special eagle graphics and gold wheels, hence the name. Considering FCA's track record and the use of the name, it wouldn't be at all suprising to see a new Golden Eagle edition of the Jeep Wrangler or even the Cherokee appear in showrooms soon. Nothing could have prepared Quick Quack Car Wash employees for the moment when a 94 year-old man suddenly careened through their Sacramento, California business last Friday. Security cameras captured the carnage as the elderly driver's white Oldsmobile sedan barrelled through the automated wash lane at speeds of up to 40 mph, risking the lives of employees and damaging equipment. After narrowly missing a Honda Civic, the driver's wash from hell abruptly ended after slamming into a car wash vacuum, the Oldsmobile curiously landing arrow-straight in an immediate parking space after impact. The driver of the Oldsmobile accidentally hit the gas pedal instead of the brakes, causing the crash to happen. Speaking to a local FOX News affliate, site manager Mitch Shiveley said the elderly man walked away from the scene unharmed. No employees or other customers were injuried. Despite damages totaling almost $100,000, Quick Quack quickly cleaned up most of the mess and was back to washing cars by Monday afternoon. Source: FOX CT View full article

God. I think it'll be the year 2025 and I'll still be getting hate mail from the Chrysler 2.2 fanclub over this article. So I'll say it: I'm sorry the 2.2 sucked and probably sowed the seeds for Chrysler's second bankruptcy. There. Can we kiss now? ... That was a joke, Chrysler 2.2 Fanclub. Just in case y'all couldn't tell.

Here's what's really suprising, though: it's only about a 200 lbs. difference. The '15 200 is 3,473 lbs. and my '15 Dart Blacktop is 3,242 lbs. Thanks! It is true. The Dark Side does have cookies. Well, it's actually rum cake but who's really paying attention?

Nope. I actually got tired of pre-bankrupt GM's build quality every time I made a gear change. My Hummer had a squeaky ass shifting from third to fourth. And second to third. And fourth to fifth. And first to second. Thanks. Aside from tinting the windows, I don't think I'll be doing much of anything to this car at all. This Dart has the 2.4 Tigershark. I hated it in the 2015 Chrysler 200 with the nine-speed automatic, but it's terrific in the Dart with the Fiat six-speed manual. Go figure.

While true, does the internet need another reminder of the Aztek's existence? Nope. No sense in beating a dead horse. In fact, I'd actually say the Aztek has reached AMC Pacer-levels of cool these days. The fact guys like smk still believe its a joke, and the fact a meth kingpin drove one on TV, has molded it into an icon of the Naughties. Wrong. Hummer was a missed opportunity. And I'm not saying that because I own one. (I probably won't for much longer, knowing me.)

Probably not much. I've noticed that many late model two-wheel drive trucks essentially share the same ride height as their four-wheel drive counterparts. That's especially true of the new Ram and GM pickups. Haven't paid too much attention to Ford, though. They're not offering a regular cab in the new Colorado are they?

The G6 is a better car than an '04 Malibu, yes. But then again, so is a mule and cart. Just eye, em, ayche, oh. I know I hated the 2006 model my mother owned my Sophomore/Junior year of high school. The driving position was only fit for a rabid baboon with severe scoliosis. The ride was rubbish. Then there was the worst bit: the handling, which was far too light, too... over assisted. That was no thanks to the electric steering, which dictated frequent vists to the local Pontiac dealer. Yours is from a later batch though, right? Maybe 2006 was all around just a bad year for the G6.
