Hey i need places where they give reports of their real-world fuel economy for like the old civic HX and Hybrid n stuff... consummerreports went to subscriber... and there is no way in hell im going to pay for a website.

The president has little direct control over the economy, other than pressure the FED about the lending rate... and if you dont believe me look at FDR, tons of programs, many unconsititutional intended to increase economy... effects were limited at best... WWII brought us out of the depression, not the massive spending the Gov was doing to try and improve it.

a 2.0L V8 w/ DoD might be kinda cool... but then again with hp/L off a LS2 its only 133hp... and about 130torque. But then again.... at such a small size it could be built to easially revv, it would make enough torque throughout the powerband to still have reasonable power in the low end... but w/ a redline of 8000 or so it could plausibly make about 150hp. based on the LS7... 142hp. but then again i doubt this engine would get better mileage than an I4, and its only comparable to a current I4... maybe a 2.5L... about 166hp to LS2 standards... 2.8L V8... 186 (only slightly more than the Colorado 2.8 I4) how about a 3.0L V8 option as a very sporty engine... definately not mainstream in any way... give it a redline of 9000rpm... lets assume that at 8500rpm its still churning out meh.... 140 lb/torque.. thats about 225hp... kinda lethargic.... maybe with VVT and 3v and such it could make like 180 torque... 291hp... a 291hp 9000rpm V8 would be a very fun engine to drive. Maybe an RS option on a Camaro?

If GM decided to make the camaro unaffordable they would totally lose my sale (which, hopefully, is roughly when it would be coming out... or the year after...) Why not put a DoD 3.9L V6 in there w/ a 5spd manual and 6spd auto? i dont really care all that much about power... 0-60 in 7.5sec or less would already put it at "sporty" level. Hell, 0-60 in 8 sec while getting 24/34 mileage would be a hell of a lot better... and one hell of a sales line.. The 240hp V6 Camaro gets better gas mileage than the I4 Scion tC! and who cares if 8sec is a bit slow by todays standards? its still plenty fast and with a right exhaust note.. who cares? if they really wanted power they coulda gotten a V8.

Ok first off Honda has had 4v SOHC engines forever, so i dont know where you guys are getting that they are limited to 2v. Honda has DoD on an I4 runnin on 3cyls and it runs fine, id imagine a I6 on 3cyl would get excellent mileage and could be more balanced than the I4. However putting 3v on a OHV engine should roughly give the same performance as a SOHC engine... but the revvs will probably still be more limited than the SOHC design.

perhaps after coming off the assembly line they could be shipped to a GM factory and drop a turbocharged ecotec in there?

wheel wells look great as does the front, rear is way overdone..

the 3.9L might very well benefit from a 6spd transmission... if the gear ratios are a bit shorter with some tall OD gears... then the car could get very competitive acceleration and have good MPG.

Japan doesnt exactly have tons of free land lying about... besides it isnt 1985 anymore, taxing japan only would be completely unfair and ultimately would not have the impact you guys want.

Well i dont know about you but i want my local grocerie stores to carry veggies and stuff... otherwise im gonna have to go w/ more limited (and expensive!) local selections.
