Couldn't agree more, i like GM, i got a GM vehicle... but im not blind to other manufactures vehicles. Some people just begin to sound stupid when they are defending some GM cars.

Theres nothing wrong with a civic, its the best compact car, i cant recall if the 99s had double wishbone suspension like the older ones do, but if it did it has potential.

Gee 68, an RSX or pretty much any other Acura shows that FWD can handle pretty damn well.

Ok build some big ole Giant Solar power array in space which splits water into hydrogen which is supplied often by unmanned craft. THERE... the spacecraft can be powered by hydrogen too. PROBLEM SOLVED :P

GM needs to streamline their business NOW. Their little cash reserve is not nearly enough for what 7 brands? No, they need to slim down BIGTIME if they want to advoid Ch11 and advoiding it is a good thing because imagine the Media when they learn that what a million people are out of pension? can you imagine how BAD GM would be knocked? how many people would DETEST them? and dont blame NAFTA, given time our economy will rebalance itself. Free trade is a wonderful concept that rarely turns out well (much like pure socialism)

Ok, heres my thinking. ditch the marginally profitable Buick (pontiac? et all). keep the bread winner GMC/Chevy/Cadillac. invest heaviliy in Chevy/Cadillac (people will buy the GMCs even if they are just clones of Chevys anyways) to make those2 brands WORLD CLASS. In turn that will draw in FAR more revenue than keeping Buick and pontiac and the rest and turning out mediocre models in all brands. get my logic? take a small short term loss for a great long term gain.
