Awesome Dodge Challenger Cruise Pics
Why so many DCX fans on a GM fan site? Why not to stay with other mopar guys on Chrysler sites?

Soaring Dodge Caliber Sales
I'm a bit tired of hearing that DCX is doing well vs GM/Ford. They are adding 1000 workers at one plant, but how many will be laid off by the slowing sales of GC and the entire Jeep lineup, Durango, Magnum, Dakota.... Mercedes lost more than ONE BILLION in the first quarter.

Edmunds Reviews Dodge Caliber
The smallest engine is the 1.8L, I think. It must be really slow.

Pricey Hyundai does the job
In terms of feature, probably, but the design will probably be another ugly thing like most of their lineup.

Lajdziak Reacts: More on Our Saturn Family
I do not see a huge demand for a V6 with a stick. At least not in NA. How many G6 are sold with manuel tranny a month? very few I suppose.

Calling all Cobalts
I've had the radio problem. There is no fix. Several people have the key problem. Has not happened to me yet. There is a rattle from the glovebox. I don't know if there is a TSB. But my biggest complaint so far, like many Cobalt drivers have, is the front suspension problem. There is more and more clunking noise. It's noticeable when you drive at slow speed over a bump. Did not do that when the car was new. Now I have 6K miles. Had the same problem with the crappy Cavalier. Looks like GM has not learned its lesson.

Lajdziak Reacts: More on Our Saturn Family
No, it's not exactly the same. Why it's not like the concept, cost cutting and bean counters. This is not the same GM we used to know in the fifties. If they've had the poor decision makers we have today, we would not have all those nice cars from the 50s and 60s when GM was not afraid to dare with wonderful designs.

But I'm afraid that GM people who make the decision will try to use cheap material to cut cost. Discussion at the decision table:- Hey why using this expensive plastic for the interior, if we use the same as the G6's, we gonna save 200$ per car. - Oh yeah, you're right, we need to save all the money we can. And about the breaks. Do we use better rotors than what we used before? - No just put our cheapest ones so we can save 100$ per car. Customers won't see the difference. - I see, good idea. - Thanks. I save GM 300$ per car. I feel great about myself.

Back to the Bu, if journalists were drooling over the new one, I suppose that we won't be disappointed. Very confused

Saturn will be the exciting brand.

I don't want to sound pessimistic, but to me it's the end of Pontiac. So GM could close Orion.

April 2006 Sales: General Motors Corp.
LOL :rotflmao:

April 2006 Sales: Nissan North America, Inc
The drop of 2K units recorded by the Cobalt could easily be the reason of that increase.
-
April 2006 Sales: Hyundai Motor America
Yaris/Fit are probably taking sales from Koreans.
-
April 2006 Sales: Toyota Motor Company
Less selling days this year.
-
April 2006 Sales: American Honda Motor Co.
A lot of people now choose Toyota over Honda. I see more new Corolla on the road than new Civic.
-
April 2006 Sales: Chrysler Group
I don't think DCX is doing that good. Remember, rebates are highest of the industry, Trucks sales are down. Which means a lot less revenue. 34% to fleet and rental business. I would not be surprised that second quarter turn into a loss.

April 2006 Sales: Hyundai Motor America
Rentals=Sonata

Oh thank you, good news, I don't care if it's still on EPI, I just want to see a complete new look.
-
April 2006 Sales: Ford Motor Company
GM is taking away the truck market from Ford. Second quarter losses are gonna be huge at Ford, The Fusion is doing good, but probably not bringing a lot of money in. I think GM is in a better situation than Ford.

April 2006 Sales: General Motors Corp.
GM cars are not competitive enough. We all knew this would happen. The G6 dropped below 10K units. Fortunately, the 3.6 will be offered this fall, and the Aura could help a bit.

April 2006 Sales: General Motors Corp.
To sum it up, Good month for trucks, really bad one for cars. If the new Silverado is as good as the new Tahoe, it could become the best selling pickup in the US in 2007.

Doesn't sound good to me, GM will completely lose the car market. 2011 is too far away.
