GM delays TrailBlazer, Envoy re-do
Well, you have a good point there. Considering I had been thinking that Chevy was getting an SUV too. Since that is not the point we may have a problem with the death of the TB!

Which GM Divisions are profitable?
I guess Pontiac-Buick-GMC are no different than Chevrolet and Chevrolet trucks. I am happy that they are grouped. It means that Pontiac will not have a truck or a Luxary barge, Buick will not have a truck or a sporty car, GMC without cars. The way they should be IMHO. Lumping them, to a certain extent cuts down on badge engineering.

G6 GTP in motor trend
I have serious fit and finish complaints. I notice that there is a huge amount of glue overspill comming from the spine, inconsistant coloring and cheap glossy pictures. They will never have the build quality of Time or even Macleans. Why buy a Motor Trend when you can get a dealer brochure for free? (I am willing to bet it is less bias as well) :CG_all:

The LEAST safe cars of 2006
Joking or not, you are right. The Corolla is not as safe as other new cars being sold. I don't see GM selling the old J and N bodys anytime in the future. (to ppl that own them, just don't run into people) :P

GM delays TrailBlazer, Envoy re-do
Just wait and see how the Lambdas change that landscape. I figure that they will be far superior to the Truck based quints, taking away most of those 319,000 sales.

Happy Birthday, Sciguy!
Happy Birthday! Have lots of fun, it only comes once a year. Sadly though, you are in the same boat as my father (birthday was friday) :P. Everyone gives him money for his birthday and he ends up spending it on gifts for other people.

Paint that changes colour with temperature
Guys, if they can get paint to change colour, do you think it is only a matter of time before they get paint to illuminate? Think of it. Just have marker lights no brake lights. When you put your brakes on the whole rear end of the car lights up red. Could that be the future?

GM delays TrailBlazer, Envoy re-do
It is possible, give the Lambda some time to see how well it sells and how it impacts the TB and Envoy. I wouldn't be surprised if the Envoy and TB are canned. No reason for a Truck based suv like that. The sales will not warrant it, just watch and see <_< .

Paint that changes colour with temperature
It's interesting, I guess a white car in hot weather would be nice, and black when it is cold :P

0% APR in Lue of Rebates
May we quote you, if gas prices are more stable in the near future we will see these SUV's return to some more prominance. Product is what sells. The Explorer is nothing exciting, has not much of a rebate.

Official 2007 Camry Pics & Details
I will guess there will be plenty of gray plasic and fake silver. I think a very important note; this like the current Camry has only an average interior. It's not over the top, but it is plainly nice. The center stack is a re-hash of the Corolla. Once a regular stereo is stuck in there it will just be a regular toyota interior.

New spyware could prevent speeding
Dude, in the wonderful province of Alberta  they already have photo Radar for speeding and red lights. To make things even better they announced on the 15th of November they were going to put photo radar on poles as opposed to vans parking on the side of the road. Big brother is trying his best to piss us off!

ATLAS ENGINES
It has to be able to spunk out more hp than it does. They need to re-work injection and exhaust. But as for the Atlas engines.... I don't know, maybe they could use it in Mercruisers! B)

New spyware could prevent speeding
New spyware could prevent drivers from speeding CTV.ca News Staff Many motorists would balk at the idea of an electronic back-seat driver that forcefully prevents them from speeding. But a new device being road-tested by Transport Canada could mean breaking the speed limit will no longer be an option. Using global positioning satellite technology and a digital speed-limit map, the device makes it difficult for drivers to press down on the accelerator once they go above a certain speed limit. The idea is sure to appeal to many road-safety experts, but the researcher in charge of the project admits some drivers will not welcome the idea of a machine that forces them to slow down. "We are trying to assess the operational acceptance issues," Peter Burns, of Transport Canada's road safety directorate, told The Globe and Mail. The pilot trial is believed to be the first of its kind in North America, but similar devices have already been tested in Sweden, the Netherlands and Britain. Dr. Burns told The Globe that proponents of such devices are enthusiastic about the potential to reduce deaths and injuries from car crashes, as well as reduce greenhouse-gas emissions, which are greater at higher speeds. "Excessive speed is a leading road safety challenge," he said, noting that speeding is a contributing factor in 25 per cent of fatal crashes across Canada. Ten cars, driven by volunteers and outfitted with the Swedish-made speed-limiting system, have been testing the system on Ottawa's roads. By spring, researchers hope to have collected enough data to see if the system actually changed the drivers' speeding habits before going ahead with a larger trial. Using another 10 volunteer drivers, the project will also test the Otto Driving Companion, a less intrusive and commercially available system designed by Persentech, a Winnipeg firm. The dashboard-mounted device also uses GPS technology, but only warns drivers with a voice alarm and a light if they start speeding. The $290 devices are on sale in Winnipeg and Ottawa and will be available in Edmonton, Calgary and Red Deer starting this week. Company president Frank Franczyk said he has sold 400 of the devices in Winnipeg alone and that customers appreciate the blue speed-warning light and even the voice that warns them they are going too fast. Some even say their children speak up when they see the alarm go off. "They say, 'Hey mom, the blue light's on. Why are you speeding?" Franczyk, who has plans to expand the service to Toronto, Hamilton, Vancouver and the United States, told The Globe. In Europe, proponents have said that the technology should be mandatory in all vehicles and that insurance companies might offer discounts to drivers who use it. Article Link

GM SUV sales to soar to 51% over last year
When I left Edmonton Friday gas was going at 71.5 a litre, here on the east coast it's still rape at 100.9 a litre.
