R.I.P. GM, Ford, and Chrysler
Sad... tragically sad... but true. I'll spare you the anti-GM leftist propaganda bull$h! that was being spewed on a local radio station here in Boston this AM. It's a sad time to the USA, for GM, for the American people, American values, it's just sad... pathetic. The majority of the population of this country (as of 2008) are losers who are wasting our oxygen. Pathetic, soulless idiots who are just sheep and can never amount to anything worthwhile... they just eat, crap & watch the TV like fu**ing zombies waiting for the media to tell them WHAT, when & how to think. #$@$*#&!!!~!

Does this concern anyone else?
What a messed up, twisted world we live in. My reaction to all this lunacy is one of bevilderment. Some days it makes me think I need to start going to church again... then I remember the hypocracy that they harbour, there's really no solace in anything, no sanctuary or sanity to be found. Hard to be optimistic when only the fools preach of positive change and have faith in hollow ideals.

Aaargh, $%#@ G5
ABS WAS standard on all GM cars for over a decade, but stupid consumers and the filth over at the autorags just never caught on to that advantage and it became another built in cost over a $h!box Toyota, Ford or Honda or whatever so they decided to play SMART instead of taking the high road and getting FU**Ed by Toyota etc. AGAIN. Let suppose I agree with you, ONLY if they have a fully OFF feature for times you do not need/want them on! (stabilitrack)

Redneck Fabulous
Balthazar: Now THAT is hot. A+ for Yankee Inginuity! As far as that '73 Malibu.,.. it was gross in stock form too, what an ugly pile compared to a '72 or not to mention '64-'70 Malibu, still better than a "DONK" $h!pile ridin' on 33" rims.

I feel a little unfaithful
the '07 interior is above average for a modern "transformer-puke-plastic-fest" car interior, but the '97 sure isa not anything special, then again some of GM's interiors back then were pretty horrid.... pleather dashboards and such. ---- If all indicators are correct and the doom-n-gloom is even close to true the only NEW cars I will ever be buying in the future will be German made. I will never purchase a new Japanese car, Infiniti might tempt me from time to time but if and when I want a new car I'll either buy a decent domestic car/truck or if there's nothing but bland, FWD, flacid prodct to be had from Detriot I'll buy a Mercedes Benz, BMW, Audi or some other REAL car made for REAL enthusiasts. Then again most modern cars disgust me and I might just stick to buying used GMs from the '50s and '60s... you can always throw in a fuel injected V8 motor and a CD player into a '65 Impala or a '57 Buick but it's damn near impossible to extract the SUCK-AGE out of a modern FWD sedan.

What is your next car purchase? revisited...
I can not believe that a car that crap-tastic existed (in production form) into the early 1970s outside the Communist controlled countries where evolution and progress were repressed and demonized. The 2CV stopped being relevant in the 1950s... but the French in their infinite wisdom made it until 1990 even though it lacked even basic features even a minimalist nutcase like me, a VW Beetle loving, pre war car obsessed fruitcake, considers a must. On the flip side, I can appreciate the 2CV for its place in Automotive history and Although excessive, it's spartan qualities are to be commended. Too bad here in the USA the government will not allow us to buy anything without a dozen airbags & 700 pounds of computerized big-brother.

What is your next car purchase? revisited...
Talk to me about that after a 3500lbs. BMW 328 kombi hits you head-on at 50mph. If I had been driving one of my $h!box B-bodys or one of the other "HEAVY" American cars rather than my 2700lbs. Datsun I might (WOULD!) have saved myself months of pain & physical therapy last winter/spring.

What song moves you right now?
Troublemaker by Weezer "marying a biotch, havin seven kiods..."

What would your second putt-around car be?
Used to be an '83 Firebird t-top with a crate 350, then a '91 S10 Blazer 5-speed, '88 Blazer K5, '86 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham, two Datsun Maximas... Now as of this moment I've got a few ideas: - 1960s Pontiac hardtop of some sort - '65-'69 Corvair, (any 2nd gen. hardtop) - Another big, heavy, RWD, comfortable as a leather-sofa Cadillac - 2wd fullsize GM pickup

No Drop Top?
WRONG.. Let's see..... Strengthened undercarriage, stiffer chassis, rear windows, regulators for rear windows, higher, stronger rocker panels and better visibility, a strong but often overlooked component of safety, woud have resulted from a shared chassis devoid of any thick, chessy B-pillaridge.

CTS Comes in 5th in Jalopnik's "10 most Beautiful Cars"
Citroen has produced some very interesting cars over the years, some awkward, some (built before my time) revolutionary and some just plain strange... only a select few are "beautiful" and fewer still of their modern cars are anything but ugly. This thing is so awkwardly deformed it looks like the Chinese tried to out-Toyota Toyota. Eeeeee-xactly.

Oh shoot me now...
WTHell are you guys bitching about? They mentioned that this is the new "Cadillac One" and it will be Obamas and somehow it's another example of Fox having a Republican-slant?

All I know is the new Clubman is Fisher-Pricey like a Toyopet FJ.

Your favorite President or Politician and why?
Hmmm.... There's a lot of conspiracies regarding FDR. (the whole FDIC thing, Pearl Harbour and what not) Still he managed to do a lot of good. We need a NEW-new-deal.

Who can resist a pre-war roadster... ? Windshields are totally over-rated, & real wire wheels of 21" diameter kick a$$!

CTS Comes in 5th in Jalopnik's "10 most Beautiful Cars"
The Fiat 500? Brera, maybe could be considered desirable but while it is a cute little retro car that no doubt will do great in the EU market, the Fiat 500 ver.2.0 is NOT beautiful. That disgusting Citroen takes any amount of legitimacy out of this list. That car is so disgusting, so repulsive & so badly proportioned one wonders what kind of drugs the designers were on when they threw up all over a blue-print sheet & sent it to be made into a production car. As far as the Aud R8 that ugly, stupid panel-wagon-blockout suicide door slab of empty space behind the door is an ugly distraction to an otherwise nice design that HAD potential. True. Too bad the new FWD-SRX is two steps back.

That's true as a laser beam is straight. (black holes aside) Most "tatoo worthy" post of 2008.- Cool shots of My Hawk,Maserati and...
Yeah... your neighbors were closing in on you back when I was out there in fall of 2005, building their McMansions. Then summer of 2007 when I dropped off Fly's Bi-Cent-Buick there were more still. But hey, they're still like a 1/2 mile away. In my neighborhood I can't even get into my car when it's parked in my driveway without walking across the neighbor's lawn.- My other shoebox

Welcome to C&G. So when are you going to do the RWD conversion and sawzall the B-pillar & rear 1/4 windows off?- 3/4 of the Fleet
That Shadow is a riot... I still love those Sundance doors, DO NOT paint them.- Fun with your WRX

Now that's a truck! I know "fughet-about-it" but this one eludes me? - Does this concern anyone else?
