specs on 96 LT1 V8
C-Spec: you posted the 267 statistics for a 80s Caprice.... not even close to the LT1. 36 MPG does sound pretty amazing though that's an eye opener.

Trash, all colors
Unfortunatelly a lot of people ARE hat lazy and inconsiderate. I usually have a paper bag from McDonalds or a plastic bag from CVS that I keep in the back seat as a temporary trash recepticle.

Not TTops but other cool option
Is that the George Costanza Edition? DId John Voight own it? Cooler than T-tops and these Maxima style sunroofs is the Porsche Targa's retractable roof.

Annoying Emails
Croc: Thanks for being honest about #8. :P As far as Californian wine I always regret buying it because it always seems to have a lot of sulfur in it. >yuck!< Didn't mean to offend. Sorry.

High Performance
Thanks Mustang... and BTW Satty: I'll give up 3/10 of a second at the track for a more durable, more lightweight, zero-maintenance and fun to drive tranny versus a big heavy clunky automatic. Another reason why I think a lot of Sports/Exotic car manufacturers are going to shit. An automatic Ferrari? Give me a break. If I'm paying that kind of money for a Ferrari or Lambo I'd demand a fully manual trans. That's what is the matter wiht racing these days. No more seat of the pants driving, the iron, grit and determination is no longer a big factor. Now it' sabout computerised this and electronic that. To hell with it. I drove a triptronic POrsche 911 once nad walked away thiking "WHY?!?!" Why spend that kind of money to drive it like it's a '94 Town Car. Racing to me is a '69 Camaro rubbing fenders with a '69 Mustang at Lime Rock or Laguna Seca. 60s and early 70s Trans Am racing was awsome. No computerised bullshit and no excuses. Just a big old carburator on a 4.9 liter V8 and a solid manual trans. And lots of creative, elaborate and sneaky bending of the rules by Smokey and Penske.

68 Delta 88 Holiday
Kudos on this thread. :)

God help us all!
I personally would rather have an '84. I hear that CrossFire injection is amazing. Makes an '06 Z06 look like a Geo Storm.

Where is Camino LS6 anyway?
Razor got it. It's a custom one-off "Datsun Ute" Inn other words a Japanese ElCamino. The front half and mechanicals are off a Datsun 510 and the rear section is from a Datsun pickup.

BLASPHEMY!!! Go drive a Chrysler (Sebring or Intrepid for instance) or a VW or even a Audi and you'll never say such silliness again. Opting for a tap-shift instead of a full manual is like buying Gran Turismo 4 and a Playstation instead of buying a real Vette/Camaro. I hate clutchless manuals. I'm not dumb. I don;t need some marketing B.S. I can "manually" shift my '79 Deville, '97 STS and I already shift my '68 Camaro's TH350 manually. I don't even have a throttle kick-down cable on the '68. Stupid marketing fluff. <_<

Confederate flags would be pretty bad too but this has to atke the cake for the ugliest ever. My brain almost hemoraghed when I saw that....

Honda chief rules out V-8 engine, for now
Yup both the Civic and Integra are about 99% rice free. Average these days for those years of Honda/Acuras here in my neck of the woods is about 40%. If nothing else the big wing and obnoxious graphics. I actually like those rims. They fit the Civic's personality. Not my style but not complete Rice either. How was your rolling resistance though? They're a tad big in my opinion.

Better Cars Not Enough
Sad but true. P.S. Don't hold your breath KnightFan.

Sorry for the wait...
Razor: Embrace the randomness of the thread. Be one wiht your tangent. :) Knight: It's a driver. Someday soon it will get redone and then it will be a sunday driver, to be taken to car shows and waxed but I have mixed feelings about that. I love to see classics that get driven as CARS not just trophies that come out every other sunday from April to October. There's something to be said for that. There's a near mint condition) 1939(?) DeSoto in my town that sees the road almost every day. On my commute to the dealership I used to see him almost every single morning from early spring untill late fall. The car's black paintjob is flawless and the chrome and glass is perfect but the car gets DRIVEN. Cars are meant to be enjoyed on the road not in a garage.
