Mice and Keyboards
My last wired mouse was the original Microsoft Optical mouse. The wheel on that was of the same caliber as the wheels on both of my current wireless mice. It wasn't until more recently that they decided to change the feel of the wheel, and I agree with you. I'm kinda worried about buying a new mouse without first trying it out for that very reason, because I think Logitech has similar wheels on some of their mice.

Mice and Keyboards
If I remember correctly, the Commodore 64 was named for its RAM capacity: 64 KB. Compare that to the 1,000,000 KB RAM standard in most PCs today.

Mice and Keyboards
Nothin special. With my laptop I have a Logitech V270 Bluetooth mouse that I purchased because I thought my laptop had Bluetooth. I was wrong. I decided the best course of action was to get a Bluetooth dongle. But regardless, the mouse frequently loses connection, and the dongle subsequentially fails. That, and it drains batteries like a hungry hungry hippo. With the desktop, I have a basic wireless keyboard and mouse combo. If I had infinite resources, I'd go for one of these. Anyone got $1500 and have nothing better to spend it on?

another Toyota recall
- Ecotec?
The 2.2 Ecotec is reasonably powerful, even though it's the base model. Fuel economy is good. Near 18,000 miles.- Calif. considers bill requiring pets be sterilized
That strikes me as a very Californian procedure. You got me.- Major 2007 Torrent / Equinox Recall
Hm. Perhaps they are missing their GM emblems?- Summer Car Spotting!
Eight Miatas in a row drove past me going the other way today. Also saw what was probably a Chevelle. And there are some Solstices in town.- Calif. considers bill requiring pets be sterilized
It's a bit too much to proactively enforce. Here's some options. - Sterilize the animal on site when adopted. The parties that may ask for exceptions may do so at that time. - Veterinary hospitals that see animals that have not been neutered (and don't have something resembling a spay scar) will inform their owners that it is required by law that their animals be sterilized. Further steps can be taken from there. Not my job to figure that out. The penalty part, I haven't figured out yet. Maybe if a police officer sees a guy walking his dog, and notices the dog's balls hanging prominently, he can fine the guy on the spot.- British Agency Asks Toy to "Shut their Pie Hole"
I want my flying pig, dammit! If the goal is to consume less gasoline, the person with enough resources will pick the car with the best fuel economy, which would probably be a diesel. A diesel hybrid, if one is ever built, may also be considered. If the goal is to produce as few emissions as possible, the person with enough resources will pick whatever vehicle produces the fewest emissions per mile. It may be a hybrid, or it could be a PZEV Civic... Or a ZEV Electric car of some sort. HOWEVER, if the goal is to get the lowest cost of ownership possible, the person is going to go with a CPO subcompact. Hybrids would be out of the question.- Calif. considers bill requiring pets be sterilized
I guess I don't really have an argument against this... We got our own dog spayed as soon as we found out she wasn't already spayed. But the other thing is, we got her for free from a shelter. Typical purebred pets cost at least $500. I'm just worried that if this law is strictly followed and becomes the norm, I won't be able to obtain dogs for free in the future. And so, there goes another freedom. At any rate, they may as well require skin embedded microchips by law, while they're at it. For dogs. Not for humans. Yet.- What is the strangest thing you've seen someone do while driving?
The subjects in question were not driving, but it's worth mentioning. My wife was working the drive-thru, and a regular cab pick-up truck pulled up with the bench seat full. The driver was paying the cashier and getting the food, and the other people in the cab were minding their own business. A bit further back, on the toolbox at the very front of the truck bed, were a female passenger kneeling facing forward, laughing her ass off, and a male passenger sitting and staring into space. As they were driving away, my wife discovered what the girl was laughing at. A guy and a girl were having sex on the truck bed, without clothing, in broad daylight, with no cap over the truck bed.- Passion alive, but fire suffocating...?
You know what would help me immensely in matters such as these? A garage.- Chrysler admits Sebring, Nitro are duds
Very well. Personally, I think the Nitro is... Well, ugly. Its only attractive angle is from the back, where it looks like every other SUV on the road. The door handles, which are made with the highest quality of grey plastic, are of an awkward concave design. I'm not a fan of the front end, personally. And then, 24 mpg highway. With the base engine. My wife and I would both prefer a smaller car, but she thinks the Nitro looks alright. Right now, the only CUVs I'll consider are the VUE and the Equinox/Torrent, and the Theta twins have that Chinese-built 3400, which I will avoid buying strictly on principle. The Equinox Sport, I might consider. But again, we want a smaller car.- Chrysler admits Sebring, Nitro are duds
Textbook example of an inflammatory remark. The Nitro sure as hell looks strange, but to say only a jerk could like it implies that all Nitro owners and aspirers are jerks. Are you calling my wife a jerk?- Calif. considers bill requiring pets be sterilized
I guess the people out there want to turn owning a pet into a luxury.- Chrysler admits Sebring, Nitro are duds
The Sebring interior is fine. It's everything else about the car that's less than attractive / competitive.- What is the strangest thing you've seen someone do while driving?
Ah, yes! Those silly elongated whistles. I didn't know anyone played them beyond fourth grade music class. (Well, yes, I did. Dude must have been cramming on his way to his college music class.) Wait. Looks too long to be a standard recorder, I think. Unless he's playing some sort of Tenor Recorder.- Principle Problem: Resale value
The Cobalt is generally considered far superior to its Delta platform mate. Have you considered the Chevy, at least?- 20th Anniversary Edition Corolla
Maybe it's to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Toyota (or maybe just the Corolla) in Canada?- Penn & Teller's Bull&%$@
DVDs, eh? I think I know what I'm gonna ask for come Christmas time. I like the part where they show the "worst case scenario" tests on the spent waste. *runs around screaming* HOLY @$#%! WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE! RUN! RUN!! RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!!- 20th Anniversary Edition Corolla
Hm... That thing's probably due to be cleaned out on mine.- Man in wheelchair pushed down Michigan highway by semi
That sounds like it might be fun. I'm imagining how the pullover process would have gone down. Officer: Are you aware that there's a man in a wheelchair attached to your front bumper? Trucker: I was gonna get it fixed at the nex-- Wait, what!?- What is the strangest thing you've seen someone do while driving?
Since you mention it, flutes aren't played quite like that. It's either a bagpipe practice pipe or a clarinet. Quite possibly an oboe?- Penn & Teller's Bull&%$@
This show is awesome. Damn shame the only place you can see it is Showtime... And YouTube, illegally. - Ecotec?
