What, you're saying the ION isn't even cancelled?

The G6 coupe looks hot. I like it far more than the sedan simply due to the far superior exterior styling. I always liked the fastback look of 70s-era cars, and I like the fastback look today :)
  3. I'm sure it will be pretty similar to the Tahoe.

I think they mean an insider board closed to the public.

Exactly. And Razor, my comment was made not to "degrade" the engine (how do you degrade engines?), but because I am glad GM is finally moving on to newer and higher-tech engines by discontinuing the 3800. I am cheering GM's progress.

    Nevermind...Fly already got it.

OK, but it still LOOKS like there's a pillar there behind the glass.
  8. Croc replied to a post in a topic in Heritage Marques
Actually, behind the glass it looks like there IS a pillar. Those aren't suicide doors so there has to be a B-Pillar.

    No, it actually is the 6th Gen. 1st: 73-75 2nd: 78-80 3rd: 85-91 4th: 92-98 5th: 99-04 6th: G6, 05-present

    Sweet!

People don't ask for the 3800 by name. If GM suddenly switched and only put the 3.6 in all the 3800 cars, ten bucks says fewer than 15% of buyers would notice and care.

That steering wheel in the Regal is hideous. YUCK!

I don't have inside information, but from what we've had indicated to us in the past, mid-late 2009 sounds about right. These indications date back to late October/early November so changes could had occurred.

    I wouldn't be so sure...

Why are you taking it so personally? IT IS AN ENGINE! Seriously, chill out.
  16. Croc replied to a post in a topic in General Motors
razor chill out. many members here agree with both reg and myself. the 3800 has done its duty, and needs to be gone. GM is already using its replacement, and impala and monte carlo already have it. its time to put it in buick and pontiac now. The cars are already saddled with being W-bodies and the inherent interior packaging issues with that platform, why put them at a disadvantage with the 3800? I figure GM should at the very least not have an unrefined engine in an dated platform. Might as well get a few more sales by putting in the better engine so the cars at least have more of a selling point. Oh well, W is on its way out, and it was another good platfom.
  17. In a 1955 letter, CS Lewis said that he preferred the Magician's Nephew first, but that he also conceded that the series could be read in any order.
  18. See, I've seen far too many Caddies with the fins just crushed or mangled (even the fins you don't consider as fins) as the result of an accident, and they never look as good as they did pre-crash no matter how much effort is put into them. Face it, things that stick out tend to get clipped, whether they are sidemirrors, antennae or fins. Just imagine a finned Cadillac parked in typical strip mall row parking, and that minivan is backing out of a spot and instead of tapping the bumper lightly, it crushes a fin. They just aresn't worth it. Subtle nods to the past are classy and attractive ways of paying homage to the great designers of yesteryear. Honestly, it's kind of like fashion...whenever we say "The 80s are back!" (like they are now) it really isn't 1985 all over again. If that were the case it would look ridiculous. No, it is a few things from the 80s worn in tandem with more current lines, like aviators worn with modern casual clothing like Abercrombie & Fitch or Pac Sun: a subtle nod to the past without reliving it and being stuck in a time warp.
  19. ??? No, I'm saying the above poster is making a good point.

My V6 ML320 has beaten many cars off the line that it had no business beating. My driving style can best be described as "punch and go." My best one though was against a riced-out Civic. Not because of any real skill or or anything...but because we ended up doing 90 on SR37 (not the safest thing to do as SR37 narrows to one lane right before merging into I-69 just north of 116th St) and later I found out from some friends driving behind me that there were two cops that were trying to get us but I took the exit at 116th St. and "lost" them (wasn't trying). Sheer adrenaline factor. I admit it wasn't a difficult kill.
  21. But the testicles speak sage advice.
  22. Actually, Satty...many boxed sets used to have the order of starting with Lion and ending with Magician's Nephew. Newer editions put Magician's Nephew first as C.S. had originally intended the order to be.
  23. They already did: Very subtle, but they are there. You have to see it in person though to really see it.

Can we get back on track here? Any updates Hogans_Heros?
  25. No, you're thinking of Rosie. Oprah does way too many makeovers on her show to be gay.
