  2. I do not know where you got that information. Kappa is the most inflexible of the new GM platforms. Sigma is flexible. Epsilon is flexible. Lambda is flexible. Theta is flexible. Delta is flexible. Kappa? Not at all.
  3. Sorry, Ven. 6-passenger seating isn't safe. GM should get rid of it. Consumers generally don't want to be hassled with seat belts, but it's for their own good.

OK let's take this thread BACK to where it belongs now that Sixty8s thoroughly perved it up...
  5. Kappa isn't flexible enough to make such a proposal feasible.

Why do you keep assigning negative value connotations to yourself? There's nothing wrong with being bi regardless of what any church, parents, or republican party says. and trust me...if ocn can get away with a quarter of the crap he says, your comments last night didnt offend anyone.
  7. To clarify: I'd only want the coupe in the US since the sedan would be a stylistic copy of our Cobalt. I think they could give us the coupe and have a slight power boost and call it a day.
  8. Many people say the Aurora replaced the Toronado even though there were 4 years between the two simply because the Aurora was on the same platform as the Riviera and had a rear that paid homage to the Toronado. Frankly, I think it's weak. A sedan does not replace a coupe AFAIC and since the 98 and Aurora overlapped for only one year with the Aurora taking over the flagship position of the mainstream sedan lineup (not the niche coupe market) that is really replaces the 98. Toronado was killed for extremely low sales, and a replacement was therefore not necessary or desired IMO.

no clue yet man...id ONLY be able to make the last sunday if that is indeed the last day for it (damn january 1st being on a sunday!)...and how long would it go? i just do not know if it would be feasible for me to go to the show after getting into LA that morning...so put me in as a big ole ? and maybe as the time draws closer we will have a better handle on it all

Why would the government do that? They didn't for Enron. Sorry, but not even the unions could elect Kerry; I really don't think they have that much political pull on a national level. Michigan might try to do something, but if they started subsidizing THOSE pensions, they couldn't discriminate against subsidizing others' pensions. I don't see it happening. If they strike, they will be up sh!t creek without a paddle.

...but other than the Lambda what other Buicks would be in a testing stage? Velite hasn't even been given a platform yet and the RWD stuff is still several years away.

Oooooh...now what was it you tease?!
  21. Well of course it's been done before! Every mechanic takes dashes apart from time to time...
  22. I like buckets and a console shifter myself, but I agree that these new "column" shifters would be great for Buick. But I know it's wishful thinking as GM would never have the balls to do it until it were standard on Hyundais.

What's wrong with the last Sunday? Honestly, that's prolly going to be my best bet. Do we have LAIAS dates? I need that info before I can commit.

I love it! EXCEPT it needs to lose the spoiler. But I think it looks hot otherwise!!
  25. I can't believe I haven't contributed to this thread yet... Even though it's a POS I love the way my M-Class drives...when it drives. But favorite post 1990 SUVs? Here, in no real order: Explorer Sport: SRX: Tahoe (both): Mountaineer: Bravada: Torrent (prefer it to Equinox): Cayenne: The previous were not in any real order, but this one is my favorite SUV: Land Rover Range Rover:
