  2. Nice going! I was in your drive to check it out 15min after you split for flint derrr.... Just missed it Pics look great You did the right thing. And I scored some 98-99 vintage mags with tweeks and dyno results for your car...etc you should dress all in black when you drive it ha will it earn the Performance division sticker? hmmm.

Exactly. Too little backpressure will sacrifice low-mid range torque, and provide more burble or popping on deceleration...2.5 is best for 327/350... it's been proven in the car mags over the years..
  4. McQueen? HA The C7 set-up will make most car guys poop their pants. Really. And I am not even a Vette guy....

I'm glad I didn't imagine the steering ...I wonder if the reason is, how the steering would work if the engine failed, and no power was getting to the electric assist.I have heard that was an issue....hyd. assist can be valved to steer controllably even if power fails. B- Don't rule out an H3 - the price is coming down on these....tight turn rad - short wheelbase. I want one next.

Sorry What I meant was it had a quick return to center or slightly awkward feeling to the steering, odd for me, anyway it felt electronic I guess.Maybe it was an early production or something and they have since tweeked. I also felt it in the Torrent though...
  8. Agree with all...I usually yell at people with smokes....I see a lot of 'em.5. not true I've been blending synthetic and petrol based oils for many years with very good results. I have disassembled and rebuilt many abused engines. Both have advantages and drawbacks... You can buy SAE rated blends, and it's pointless to dump synthetic into a leaky oil burner anyway, just a waste of money.

I like the the Equinox also...the only thing I don't like about it is how the electronic power steering feels...to me, It felt awkward and disconnected from the road...I like hyd. power steering.Maybe since I drove one last year they have recalibrated the system....either way drive it first, how the steering feels seems like a petty thing but it matters big time to me.
  10. YES what to do with ze el chevelle

Great stuff... I hope they put a bowtie on the body somewhere...
  12. NICE I had a 71 that looked just like your pics and I painted it 80's IROC blue...good call. love it
  13. I have also had stalling caused by a stuck EGR valves... Pending the last time you changed your O2 sensor....fresh ones never hurt. It' funny how a carboned sensor will trick an engine, next I would check fuel delivery
  14. Look around for cops before taking bridge pictures...they might think you're planning some terrorist-like doom.... drive fast but safe. good luck
  15. Yeahhh, but guys at work are a little different than that.... hmmmm. They must recognize your sooopa genius tendancies.

  17. NO WAY are you serious? Don't you have to get a new job now?
  18. Rusty cars are a pain in the ass. Crunchy body mounts, suspension components, etc,...All spell disaster. Take the advice of those who have worked on lots of projects.... Start with a solid body and chassis-trust me- or you'll hate yourself later. Also, you can build up a small block Chevy V-8 for almost half what you'd spend on Ford engine parts
  19. The Maloo R8 - clubsport R8 alsohttp://search.mywebsearch.com/mywebsearch/...rd%2F&ct=AR
  20. These cars were built cheap with leftovers and junk parts
  21. You didn't mention your budget..?.. just watch for a cheap V-8 car on craig's list.... I check every day, some people just want the car gone! even free cars. There are a ton of project cars that people give up on... Then buy an engine...now is the perfect time of year to buy good parts really cheap especially in Michigan heres another: add big V-8 and burn rubber http://detroit.craigslist.org/car/271252346.html Ummm what's a TRUE muscle car in your mind? some cars came from the factory with muscle (big $ now, tho) some you can add your own muscle for cheap
