The next big thing
Not so much old....just equipped with enough brains to recognize such a waste of money and effort..... looks like way too many late nights in the garage with a torch and crack pipe.....unfortunate. Money is special, why waste it?Those cars also take about 400 ft to stop from 45mph-riDONKulous cop magnets.

Thanks! I am drawing some like this....with aluminum finish...top pad will be very similar, but charcoal. I will scan my drawings soon, thanks for the great ideas.

YEAH I was thinking something similar to this, maybe with an aluminumrace look....Excellent drawings you guys...no hvac controls, I plan on a floor shifted auto, not a true manual. The simpler the better. current status....

B&W is fine..It'll be grays and charcoal.

Good start...looks CTS-ishFloor shifted automatic- I took a picture of the different shift knobs I might use. I like the one with the thumb switch, that's on the shifter in the pic for squirting you know what.

Yes, that's a good idea but I want it curved... I have seen too many flat ones.

It has to match the feel of the car...I think of wood on high end cars..I might use thin plywood and flex to fit the base or A-line of the W/S, no HVAC- just a radio, it will probably get covered with foam and soft charcoal vinyl just like the doors, maybe a bright, thin, trim piece crosses the I/P and onto the door... Who was that guy with a newer Riv, called it an egg or something. I wish I had a picture of the latest Riveria I/P.

I will route two fresh air intakes wherever ...probably best towards the center I have no HVAC system. Fair weather car only- no real deadline, I will have until spring to finish the build....so take your time.

YES on the outlets, other wise looks HEAVY and like a smooth river stone.I would cut it up and try it if it was free...

Here is another starting point pic- not like this! It needs to look fast.

Nono I'm making it from scratch with one of the clusters shown. No glove box, no HVAC controls, just a radio in the center stack. anything goes.

My tattered, mis-matched Instrument Panel needs a rework. The thing that happened was I found a pile of instrumentation, beside the road and garbage picked some Camaro and other clusters from this gearhead down the street- truly a sign. I'm not kidding. They are GM and match my cable end! I have done many modifications to interiors, now it's your turn! here is a before-(we don't want anything like this) I envision a sweeping, late model Riveria style panel, with an overhang or brow that runs from door panel to door panel(top pad like a gen 3 Camaro also...) Pencils pens chops please feel free to share your ideas for the best I/P & Console I would like simple round tach and speedo in deep protruding tubes, like Solstice .... which project from a way-foward-in-car sweeping surface. Like a motorcycle. Only two 100mm round air outlets are preferred. This is the cluster bezel I like...I might trim the bottom part of the bezel off, or maybe make two deep angled tubes ala gen I camaro. and it will relocate 10" foward or so after I yank the current 85mph bar speedo. tubes - maybe aluminum finish? you tell me. Please share your thoughts here, and I will fabricate the best ideas in the Malibu. Like pimp my ride only with taste. The depth of a new smaller radio is the only limitation... probably right in the center, as well as a floor shifter. No idea is a bad one! I can do fiberglass, so anything is possible. I seriously appreciate all details I really like that late Riv thing only smaller and cooler of course. The prize is a GM performance division sticker that's cool.

Attention PA Drivers
Really sorry, sincerely, about that bull$h!.... In MI, the state doesn't have money to test offending cars, so it' a free for all. Any engine in any car! No cats needed, no roadworthiness inspections. Good and bad- you wouldn't believe some of the $h!boxes on the road in the Detroit area! I'm looking for a Big Block and plan 3" exhaust. I like Michigan.

CC in Reverse?
No I'm sorry but your 305 is not "really powerful", nor does it have mass power,(It's all in your mind) at best, it's peppy(for a 305) unless someone snuck a different engine in your car when you weren't looking...

Retrospective
That's right TyPo XP-809 btw- Stallion was also called Colt for a whileIt's funny many concepts had multiple names and guys would feud and try to get others to go with "their" name.

Retrospective
Nice post! This beast began life in 1959, as Bison I ...never saw any printed mat'l linking it to the bullet name... it was a fiberglass buck only (XP757) aka Bison 1000 in the early 60s. Wind tunnel models with patented container- ization and others features showed up on Bison II (XP795) in 1963. XP794 was a see thru model of the same showing the features of the regenerative turbine system and other features. The awesome Titan was the actual realization of the dream with a driving prototype (XP805) that was heavy on emissions and sucked fuel so bad they gave up...it was too impractical and expensive to market. Other turbine XPs include Firebird I-IV and the XP800 3 whlr Corvette (Astro III) which had an Allison model 250 300h.p. turbine.

Saturn Aura XR
I'm glad you did ...I cringe when I see soooo many others, esp. kids, yankingapart display cars.... Did you notice the lower B-pillar trim that can stab you in the back upon entry/egress? Thats the part the bugged me about these cars
