I went camping at my favorite place, MI's Silver lake sand dunes. Lots of neat stuff to see, here's my buddies preparing to get stuck big time... the beast on the passenger side is Schuby87 on C&G... here is my Envoy, parked just beyond the peak, next to his super stuck truck this is (was) a International harvester Scout with 383 chevy power- Badass. there was a lot of this going on... my Envoy was punished, but did not fail...the bottom is real shiney now! Name this powerplant! it is aluminum, and American! The guy with the toreass here said: Yeah it's got 650hp- hah! it never went up any hill....that I saw...it just idled around. This was one of the coolest, that I saw... 400 hp Chevy baby! a sweet ford- It was a fun time.
  5. Here is one for you that didn't fit in the initial post-I see this Camino almost every weekend, he always wants to race. I roll the light and get the holeshot, and then he flys past, mouth hanging open... shift light blinks and barks second hard. Its got a blower, small block, sticky tires, and lots of rust. I love fast $h!boxes!
  6. Back in Action. This is what it would would look if you were drunk...I guess I botched it while trying to capture 3 gens of vettes in the background
  7. I live a mile off Woodward... just thought I'd share a typical eyefull of what kind of stuff you see on any warm Saturday... It gets much better as The 3rd week in August approaches, I will send more updates as we close in...The 2nd week in August is best, it's a jaw dropping deal whatever direction you look...
  8. Ok I don't why I hate FWD $h!boxes..... I just know that I do. I am Paul, and the rubber on the bottom of my rocker panels is always behind my rear wheels. like this. Currently have an 06 Envoy, 79 Malibu, 77 GMC shortie P/U, & an 04 Grand am (for my wife to drive) My Malibu's rear tires make loud sqealing noises often....Is this a problem? What should I do...

These are very good cars, I want one.... check this one They can swallow big blocks, bolt in, new crossmember... If someone barfs in back, hose it out! I wish I could find a nice one
  10. Adam Sandler is awesome...He was interviewed before the race at MIS... (he was grand marshall) and he was saying his daily driver is a supercharged Cadillac- he is one of us.(kinda)
  11. so low, the grass was angry and burnt
  12. No...The magic Buick was not really being watched! I like the low shot that showshow low it goes. An Impala is similar length to the SS, I think the nomad is a lot shorter.. They were lined up nose to nose, and in they stinger pic, you can see how much longer it is. Heres a couple more shots
  13. It's funny I took same of the same(ish) pictures as you did, probably at the same time...I didn't see your post, I would have just added mine to yours.
  14. The one day of the year I am allowed to take my camera to work... for an employee car show, and it rains like a S.O.B. It was the 20th annual, I looked at the radar in the morning, and my car said no way! It's new paint stayed in the garage...Sorry I didn't get a lot of pics, It rained hard! Usually there are up to 800 cars, this time only a couple hundy. Lots of fast cars. The Cutlass was for sale for $6200 ran low 11s on spray hows this for contrast? BB Chevelle ran 10s on motor I love survivors. They just get better... Chrysler highboy w/Chevy power It was huge This car sounded even better than it looks I love this thing I'm not sure why This Aerovette used to have a giant Wankel, now it runs a transverse small block The guy standing next to the LeSabre is 5'10"!!! Nice. Some guys I work with have really fast cars. Love the SS It was raining bad so I bummed out and put my camera away before it got too moistened. I will make it up for it with Wooward pictures soon.
  15. Here is one for you, from the GM employee car show the other day.it poured.... but this thing was shining!
  16. I had a red Pontiac just like it ...I loved it!True story: I was driving it New Years eve, and I stomped on it in a hurry, somehow, my snow scraper was in between the firewall and I/P.... the snowbrush fell into the throttle linkage and held the thing wide open! I spazzed out and hit neutral instead of the key, redlined it, slammed it in gear again, and putted home in limp mode. Sometimes I don't always do the right thing......

Sorry I don't share your dreary outlook....Of course, there is a positiveside to every thought you have. For example, your data proves many enthusiasts are likely rebuilding older V-8 cars instead of buying new crap with puny engines. In July's Issue of Automobile mag, NONE of the featured cars had any less than 8 cyls....because they aren't as fun or as interesting as cars having 8 or more. As fewer V8s are sold, the need for, and natural attraction to, feeling that V8 power will likely increase over time, therefore inverting the trend. That's it!...........No parade for you. Maybe if your wife would let you have a V8, maybe then you would be fine and not so sarcastic and crabby. It's too bad you can't detect tone or emphasis in these threads cause I am not trying to be mean or hurtful. Don't be too sthensitive or you'll be always sthad and hate'in
  18. Ford no doubt. A mustang and a pick up- no trouble adjusting.

Ok... we get your point. What do you want ....a parade? Cool cars have V8s or more....... Next! NEXT!
  20. Thanks very much...getting lots of double takes... one guy driving by my house, stops his car in the road with cars behind and said: Holy crap! is that the old white car?
  21. The project you shared deserves alot of credit... Woodward is not out of reach for anybody.....I have been there every year, and rent a parking space next to the cemetary at 12mile & Woodward for $50...We BBQ, we rate the cars with numbers 0-10...you should see their faces when they get a 3! It' a blast, and there are lots of tricks to get around. They best part is the week before the cruise, it is beyond comprehension.
  22. It's a long drive but you're welcome too.Whenever I go I can take up to 4 guests.
  23. You're local- maybe next time they have a open house you can go with me.It's off of Mound rd. about 15 1/2 mile...they will have a few openhouse/carshows outside and in ----this summer. I will let you know when they schedule them. I really am trying different ways to get them to consider a public format. Extra money is good, right?
  24. What happens next with this brand will change the way the world thinks about off-roading and GM. I have seen the future and I can't wait for it! Lotsa Jeeps gonna be for sale.

True story: My brother drilled a Chevette in the B-plr with his 1100F Honda... rolled the car, driver was ejected from passenger window, the car rolled over, crushed the driver. My brother cleared the handlebars and roof line just before impact, skipped down the road on his helmet, and suffered only a broken arm. No helmet, no f*cking brain...God's natural selection process in effect.
