  1. But it really does nothing better than a truck except maybe drive "nicer". It's not cheaper....it's interior in not nicer than some trucks....it's not better on fuel consumption......it doesn't have more power or capabilities. It looks like the market segment Honda was aiming for was people who think they might want a truck, but would only but a vehicle by Honda. Seems like a very small market to me? BTW, I found the Ridgeline's competition.....since you guys are saying that it doesn't compete with "trucks": :P
  2. I guess your right.....and that's probably why they are also not "real" trucks. My friend's Sterling Heights assembly Chrysler plant will be making the Sebring/Stratus(Avenger) replacements, and will also be able to make the Caliber/Compass/Patriot. But I don't know if the Belvedere plant (Caliber/Compass/Patriot) will be able to make the Sebring and Avenger. The UAW will allow for this now......which means less overall employees (unemployed Americans)........which is directly related to the Asian competition.
  3. So it's all about you then?....and what price you get to pay? The Big 3 have been selling vehicles effectively here for about 100 years, and alot of that with the UAW. Then the Japanese come here with their anti-union efforts so they can hire and fire at will......that's really something to be proud of as Americans.
  4. Here's some comparison numbers that someone complied. Some are actual, and some are mfg. estimates:
  5. All you Japan sympathiests can back the the Ridgeline all you want......and you can also call out others for "bashing"......but it doesn't change the fact that Honda has announced that they are cutting production due to slow sales: Honda's production plans have nothing to do with some of us making fun of this poser trucklet. They just can't convince enough soccer moms to try a barely useful vehicle. The fact that some brag about Honda's ability to scale back production when a vehicle doesn’t sell well, is also pretty sad. I believe the Ridgeline is made in the US, which means that Honda probably just fired a bunch of non-union hard working Americans due to the fact that they have decided to make an inferior vehicle that is not achieveing target sales volumes. Way to go Honda for firing American workers due to your incompetence. :AH-HA_wink:
  6. Yeah, I know. I was thinking that it's not a Chrysler retro design cue, and it doesn't follow any body lines.....but for some reason, I just think it looks cool. It seems to make the car look alot longer.
  7. Exactly. They said "quickest", which just means 0-60. I think the SRT-8 LX's would beat it in the 1/4 mile.
  8. Chrysler Vehicles @ SEMA Here's a couple of my favorites: (not really a vehicle, but....)
  9. Maybe because people know that the new Avalanche will be out in a few months? Why don't you compare the Ridgeline to all of GM's trucks, because some of the people that didn't buy an Avalanche, may have bought another GM truck. You can compare Honda's truck line to GM's.....that would be fair.

Blaming us.....he even acts like Toyota!
  11. I love it. When Honda's don't sell, it's not because nobody wants them.....it's because the Big 3 had incentives. It's great that this Japanese company blames us (Americans) for their problems selling their Japanese branded vehicles in our country.
  12. BrewSwillis replied to regfootball's topic in Toyota
Yeah, that is actually the funny part. He posted a link to our thread over there to get them all riled up....and they just said that we had some good points, and that Toyota wasn't God (like some Toyota fanboys want to believe). .....but it doesn't change the fact that Polish Kris needs to be banned!
  13. BrewSwillis replied to regfootball's topic in Toyota
Actually, here is what he said on the Toyota forum: I think this should be grounds for having him banned! Admins, please either give him a warning or just ban him outright. He should not be setting up GM enthuesiests to be ridiculed on a Toyota board!
  14. BrewSwillis replied to regfootball's topic in Toyota
That actually sounds about right. Let's all just ignore him from now on, so he won't have stuff to post on his Toyota board.

I think your blind love for Toyota is childish and pointless! :AH-HA_wink:
  16. ?? It's made by Honda!
  17. That grille = I remember reading an article where Bob Lutz changed a pontiac grille because the engineers were calling the car Alvin. Maybe this is that grille that he changed for looking too much like a chipmunk's buck teeth? Other than that, it looks pretty sweet!
  18. The Liberty is rumored to be getting a little bigger along with the new Dodge Nitro. The Patriot is still smaller than the Liberty right now, but the Liberty will get bigger. I believe the Patriot may be trail rated, but the Compass will just be an AWD soft roader.
  19. The above picture is of the Jeep Rescue concept. It was based off of the Ram platform, and is very big. The next JK Wrangler will be closer to the Jeep Gladiator concept. There may even be a pickup along with the SWB 2 door and LWB 4 door:
  20. The Caliber is a hatchback/wagon, not an SUV. It not really fair to compare it to the Escape or Element. Now if you wanted a 4cyl SUV, wouldn't you get a Jeep Patriot before you get an Escape or Element?
  21. No one's to say they can't.....because they already have......and are testing it :P : Cailber SRT-4 Testing Pictures and Article
  22. The future Conan??? Yes, my friend......all the way to the year 1985!!! What a dumbass. I guess it's because he goes to the University of Michigan. GO STATE!
  23. The website is in German, but just click on the "36 Bilder" under the Jeep photo. The first 11 pics are of the new Wrangler: http://www.autobild.de/erlkoenige/neuheite...artikel_id=9991
