  1. That is a lot of fear-based selling, whether it is warranted or not.
  2. They would, but they charge extra. I had to rent a car a few times before turning 25 and there was always a surcharge.
  3. Rental car companies charge a surcharge for those under 21. It has been that way for at least 25 years or so. Colleges and Universities have closed campuses and sent everyone back home. As I said, Spring Break has (mostly) been cancelled because of the virus. SOME people are still partying however.
  4. Yes that is true. Beaches around the state were open as late as this past Thursday. Spring Break has now been officially canceled.
  5. Several restaurants are doing the same here. It's either pickup, delivery, or drive-thru ONLY in a LOT of franchises down here.
  6. I understand. Actually, I agree. There is only one problem: about 75% of all Buick vehicles sold are sold in China, not here. Without China, Buick goes the way of Oldsmobile (1897-2004 RIP).
  7. Whoa. I am shocked, but not surprised these days.
  8. Buick Encores are sourced in SK; Envisions are sourced in China.
  9. The sad part is is that the CUV equivalent of a Corolla (better known as a RAV-4) would sell for five grand MORE if similarly equipped. Corolla should be max out at $25k, not $30K MSRP.
  10. Yeah. WTF?! Shouldn't the Corolla be about $10K LESS?
  11. Gas stations have operated that way for over a century. Surely WaWa can do the same with EVs.
  12. I do hope that KIA is wise enough NOT to do this. The unibody Ridgeline is NOT a good seller, especially compared to the domestics in its class.
  13. Will that be true 12-18 months from now? How about six months from now? GM does NOT have a DieselGate problem. There may be another shoe to drop for Daimler concerning that alone.
  14. THAT should have been the CT6 interior five years ago. Hopefully Cadillac will be wise enough to put this interior into its successors.
  15. Sorry, but thanks in part to CAFE, turbochargers are now standard. The Envision deserves a V6 for one reason: more torque than any 4cyl (with or without a turbo) can provide. Too bad China also insists on displacement taxes too.
  16. Sadly I must agree. Cadillac is insufficiently separate from GM corporate to even contemplate, let alone execute, THAT Bentley interior.
  17. I doubt Mercedes Benz was exporting any cars to the USA prior to the 1960s, so their best cars were all stuck in Germany. It is not MB's fault Cadillac went downmarket with the original 1976 Seville, then came all of Cadillac's errors and MB/BMW took advantage in the 1980s.
  18. If we are in a bear market, I would hold off until the market reaches an actual bottom first. This is regardless of who is in the White House. Being selective in what stocks to buy is also helpful.
  19. Somebody tell ocnblu THIS IS WHY governments will mandate BEVs over ICE cars in the near future.
  20. For the sedans, sure thing. For the FWD crossovers, uh no. RWD anything: YES!
  21. Maybe they should take Omega and create a performance CUV to put beside the Escalade.
  22. You are assuming that 70% isopropyl alcohol is actually available to buy. In a lot of places, it is not.
  23. unplug your mouse, wait about one minute, and then replug it in. that should work for you.
  24. And if you were in her position, what would you do differently?
  25. Close: GM should sell an Equinox EV Premier at a price close to the LT (or better still an LS trim level).
