Cadillac Going Back To Names for EVs
While that looks like this is what is happening, we could definitely use some $15-25K EVs so that we can replace ICE vehicles where it really matters: the used car market. That may take several years, but ending our dependence on oil makes sound economic and geopolitical sense, regardless of any politics involved.

Alternative Fuels & Propulsion RANDOM
I have seen NO discounts on anything made by Tesla. GM having big discounts on vehicles that don't sell have been SOP for decades.

Chrysler News: UAW Approves New Contract With FCA
Now the plan should be how to rid themselves of the UAW in 2024.

BMW News: BMW brings Android Auto to its cars
I hope that Android Auto is free, just like Apple CarPlay was NOT until recently. Just about everybody else has either one or both at no extra cost.

Cadillac News: 2021 Cadillac Escalade Leaks Out
How soon will we see the Escalade on the road? Sometimes pics don't do justice to the vehicle.

Chevrolet News:2021 Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban Debut with Independent Suspension and available Duramax
The column shift lever belongs in a 1980s museum. It's about time it was left behind in favor of push button shifting. Besides, was push button shifting not available back in the 1950s?

Cadillac News: Cadillac CT6 DHam Production to End in January
Tesla has actual product out there. It is just that there is more hype than Elon Musk and his firm can actually deliver. If there was a good Tesla at $15K, then GM and Ford and FCA and Hyundai/KIA would really be scared. Tesla would go a long way of truly establishing dominance in the USDM.

Genesis News: Genesis G70 to Get Power Up
Six years? That is a short period of time between an engine coming out and being replaced. Usually it would take 15-20 years for an engine (or engine family) to be completely replaced.

Cadillac News: Cadillac CT6 DHam Production to End in January
They already have a V8 powered SUV. Now if you want to make the case that the BlackWing V8 belongs in an Escalade, be my guest.

Cadillac News: Cadillac CT6 DHam Production to End in January
That may be true on the CT6, but GM could solve that problem with a new RWD Impala/Caprice STAT, along with an upgraded Camaro.

Nissan News: Nissan Cuts Two Days of Pay for North American Employees
Can somebody explain why anyone should buy a new Nissan or Infiniti as opposed to the competition? I missed that meeting apparently. Will either exist in five years is the question.

Cadillac News: Cadillac CT6 DHam Production to End in January
Now This is sad news. I would LOVE to buy a CT6 (perhaps with the Blackwing V8) but it seems nobody wants to buy arguably the best Cadillac sedan in decades. I wonder why. As for Mary Barra and the bean counters, I wonder who will replace this small minded leadership and actually Make GM Truly Great Again, as opposed to being small and timid. Am I the only one who noticed that few people are PROUD to own a GM vehicle these days? And then these PROUD owners would happily recommend to anyone they knew to buy a GM vehicle instead of the competition?

BMW News: BMW Makes Apple CarPlay Free
Almost everyone came with Apple CarPlay and/or Android Audio standard. I am glad BMW was forced into making the sensible decision and ditch the annual fee. BMW could build their own OnStar and charge fees for that instead.

Genesis News: Genesis GV80 Leaks Out
I was wondering when Genesis would have a CUV. While RWD is generally a good thing, sales of this RWD GV80 may not be as healthy as Genesis hopes. The original SRX was RWD and sales were lackluster, at least compared to its FWD successor and the modern XT5. BMW RWD CUVs do not outsell the Lexus FWD CUVs at all, after all these years.

Buick News: Regal Discontinued After 2020
Mary Barra is NOT the problem. Neither are federal regulations. The issue is simple: most people are simply NOT buying new cars (with a few exceptions) ANYMORE. The Market is saturated with CUVs, SUVs, and pickup trucks because that is what the market wants. Period End of Story. Buick as a CUV-only brand almost guarantees its survival in the USA. GMC as a SUV/CUV brand (pickups too) guarantees its survival. The only thing that would make NEW CAR buyers switch back to sedans is $5 a gallon of gas happens again and that it last for at least two years (CA: $6.50 and up!) Everyone who is shedding a tear for the lack of sedans should ask themselves one question: What is your new next sedan purchase within the next eighteen months? Remember: Money talks. You know the rest.

Chrysler News: FCA and UAW Reach Tentative Agreement
And what is your strategy for ridding the Detroit Three of the UAW once and for all? Maybe they need the duration of the current contract in order to find a way to end this one-sided "relationship".

Alternative Fuels & Propulsion RANDOM
Looks great but who would buy it and remove and replace their current V8 with this EV engine? I personally do not see much of a market for this engine.

That Tesla truck is so meme-able. Too bad it fails at its original task: it so does NOT look like a truck. What was Elon Musk thinking?
