teh back profile makes me think H3 and HHR
  2. while I really like the look of the 300, a good strong American looking car (minus the Bentley looking grill), there really isnt' much else in the Chrysler lineup that strikes a chord with me. The Magnum is a fun niche vehicle that I really like and really hope GM can integrate into their product lineup if they buy the Chrysler group. But really, seeing as this generation LX's is going to need to be redone by the time the fuller lineup of Zeta's are hitting the streets (and the Brampton contract is coming up for renewal), and considering at the money GM has invested in tooling up plants (including the high quality producing Oshawa plant) for Zeta and designing the cars to go on it, I really don't' see a point in keeping the LX's around past this generation. while i see more Cobalts around then caliber's, I do agree with you its a good vehicle and should be kept around, though not as a Pontiac, because other than the SRT, I dont' think driving excitement. I think it might work well as GMC because of its utility, but thats a tough call agreed. The Nitro is another one that should be kept around an integrated into an exisiting GM brand ya it is, but GM doesn't need 2 sportscars. Its proud heritage, oth on road and racing and higher volume tells me Corvette should live, Viper should die. Replacing the Colorado with the Dakota would be a great move IMO
  3. there are other consideration beyond lineup as to why P-G-B should be kept and Dodge chopped if this were to happen. Namely, PGB is already fully integrated into GM's management structure. I think it would take more time and effort (re: cash) to chop Dodge than it would to chop P-G and integrate Dodge. There is also is also the existing dealer network that might not be too happy. Then there is also the GM customer base. There could be a good number of loyal GM customers who would consider it a slap in the face to chop P-G just to integrate Dodge. Sure Dodge fans will be pissed GM killed the brand, but that is more understandable because they are an outside brand being purchased

  5. that 4 seater 350Z you mentioned is the INFINITI G35 Infiniti from Nissan Lexus from Toyota Acura from Honda
  6. while dodge does have a lot of performance cars, if you were to drop the LX's (which GM doens' need given Zeta) and the d-segment twins (which are garbage to begin with), all dodge has left is utility vehicles which i dont' really seeing as competing with Pontiac. They'd compete more with GMC I would think
  7. i'm kinda surprised Nissan & Ghosn pulled out, knowing how good he is at turning around automakers. To me that shows how truly f@#ked Chrysler's position might be. Not to mention, the LX's would have given them a good foothold in high volume RWD that they dont' have, and pick ups/minivans that are way more respected than their current offerings.
  8. so what could GM actually use from Chrysler Dodge Jeep? From what I gather the Jeep brand, the Caliber & its kick ass SRT-engine, HEMI engine brand, Minivans and maybe the Nitro (cool aggressive little truck)? They dont' really need Dodge's trucks since tehy have a full lineup of their own, brand new 900's. They could also dump the LX's (once Zeta is in full swing), and of course, there is no use for the Avenger/Sebring twins
  9. http://www6.autonet.ca/News/story.cfm?stor...3651242-ap.html so with Hyundai and Nissan out as suitors, does it make less sense for GM to buy them as a defensive move? (ie to keep them out of competitors hands)

so where are the threads about Ford & Dodge teams getting caught for cheating? Or GM teams? where were the threads last year when JJ got caught? last I checked, TOYOTA didn't get caught cheating, one of the crew chiefs on one of their teams did. Its like blaming GM because a car failed cause the cars owner modified a part that caused the failure

yummy. IP is a bit cluttered though as NOS mentioned
  16. hope it looks more sporty than that, cause that wouldnt' compete with the magnum looks wise in the least.

don't' blame the Asian car companies, they are just takin advantage, like GM or DCX would if they were in that position. blame the governments who setup the unfair trade practices.
