MY CALIBER INSPECTION
Is your Corolla a boring appliance that could be mistaken for being from 3-4 other car companies as well? YES, yes it is...

Jeep Compass
More female designed Jeeps (to appeal to some current and new buyers): Compass Liberty Grand Cherokee More male designed Jeeps (To appeal to off road enthusiasts and crazy Jeep people): Patriot Wrangler Commander It looks to me like the Compass is the only non trail-rated Jeep on the list while still looking at a broader customer base... and there are reports of a rally compass coming soon that could make me feel better about it's wussiness..

Charger SRT-8 VS GTO
As much as I love both coupes and GM Small Block V8's I think I would have to agree the Charger SRT-8 is a better overall package...

MY CALIBER INSPECTION
Another note - Up to 7 model variations of the Caliber are expected... could be fun.. SE, R/T, SRT, ......

MY CALIBER INSPECTION
GREAT comparison... a loaded up Caliber and a base Malibu with incentives... Even though this may put the price near each other I see a total of about 5 people worldwide that would actually look at the two competitively as a serious buyer...

Spy Shots: New Mercedes CL-Class (Updated)
Front End terrible... Back End But then again I love Aurora's anyway...

Has anyone noticed?
Yes Yes Yes (although if you want the low HP version you are possibly a communist! ) Respectively...

Intrigue 4-4-2?
Yeah I meant that it had never been released at a large show to the public - since the announcement of Old's demise it has seen many car shows... It reminds me of getting to hear the Alero OSV fired up... it gave me goosebumps as they drove it over and loaded it on the trailer...

Has anyone noticed?
Headlights, Taillights and Turbo...With the most important update being the TURBO of course!!

Intrigue 4-4-2?
If anyone doesn't know the story: It is a never released show car that was put together right before the axe swung down on Olds (It was going to be shown at the same time some Alero 442's were as well) I believe this car has the 'hot rodded' 4.6L Northstar which they have had a hard time keeping transmissions in... Ahh the things that could have been - They show some of these late concepts and some very important classics (such as Toro #1, '53 Fiesta, 1 Millionth '76 Cutlass, etc) each year at the Olds Homecoming show in Lansing FYI - http://www.reolds.org/homecoming.htm June 17th, 2006

....
I have to admit I kind of like it myself... but the 300C conversions look soooo much better

Question about the Jeep Grand Cherokee
'89 Shadow ES 2.5L Turbo AT - White with the gray lower, red cloth interior - My dad bought it new It had just over 100K when we sold it in '98-'99 somewhere... I missed that car dearly until I bought my '98 R/T Neon

CHARGER SRT
This thread reminds me of when MotorTrend picked the Acura RSX over the SRT-4 and the Cobalt SS/SC and Ion Redline in a 'Cheap Speed' competition because the interior in the RSX was nice...

Question about the Jeep Grand Cherokee
No attack on you Dodgefan - or atleast I didn't mean it that way... I agree the people posting in the SRT-8 Vs GTO thread are obsessed - Last time I checked a piece of plastic that feels 'good' over a piece of plastic that feels 'bad' doesn't make the difference over whether or not the car drives good, is reliable, performs well, is safe, etc. etc. - I am worried about what three things 'feel' like in my cars... the steering wheel, the seat and the shifter.. anything more than that is DECORATIVE I spent a lot of time in an '89 Shadow and all I remember is some vinyl pieces and hard plastic and I LOVED that car

Ladys & Gentleman....
I see an Olds Calais in there... I think that would be my weapon of choice if you can find one with the FE3.. I would go for the quick handling to avoid crashes rather than the tank like the Volvo... Where is this help anyway 68?

A tale of two 455s
I might be able to shed a bit of light on this subject although I believe it was a '70. A member of the Illinois Valley Olds Club the late Bill Lawerence wanted to buy an 88 'vert but the sticker showed and added cost for the automatic. He complained and complained until they were able to locate a manual for him. I believe he was able to research it and find that there was only 3 ever produced in this fashion and the transmission had FORD truck roots. Also to help identify the particular car you saw I believe it was blue with a white top and white interior. I remember feeling bad for Bill as he drove that car in the convoy to Lansing for the 100th Olds anniv. - We drove through Indiana in stop and go traffic... Imagine having clutch-foot in that car...

Question about the Jeep Grand Cherokee
People have waaaaaay too much free time and the wrong priorities if they do or don't buy a car/truck/can/SUV simply because of the amount of soft touch materials This is getting out of control but I will myself and leave this at that..

Last Gen Cutlass Supreme
http://www.reolds.org/homecoming.htm A quick search netted me June 17th, 2006 - I have to add that to my calandar too (about a 4-5 hour trip from Chicago)

MY CALIBER INSPECTION
Since when is a more upright seating position good? Did I miss a memo? Note: I am not commenting on the Caliber directly but since when does good seating position refer to seating that feels like it belongs in a mini-van or a truck? Sorry - random rant over.. Go check out the Caliber in person - I still say it is quite a good package overall that will sell well..

Good Bye.
Is that the one right in Lansing that was producing Aleros and Grand Ams (possible Malibus) the last couple of years? I just toured that plant in '02 or so - quite sad for Olds fans and the people of Lansing as well..
-
Chrysler & VW
Right now that relationship could spur two major compilations... The minivan sharing that has already been released... Small car is where DCX wants some help Other things such as the Cloud cars are soon to be realsed on the galant/eclipse platform so redesigning those is a little bit away...

Your Most Favorite Car from Olds....
You are talking the early eighties Firenza SX right? 1. The car I hope to one day buy... '61-64 Full size 'vert with a '63 98 'vert being my top choice 2. The '66-70 Toro - You just can't beat it... 3. '88-89 Trofeo - For the techno geek in me... I loved my '90 and it was bigger for no real reason

C&G Exclusive: The 2008 Dodge Challenger
Pure Jetlag - that is my story and I am sticking to it...

CHARGER SRT
I agree - I am still waiting for one of the haters to come up with a car that offers the balance of everything for the same $$

Last Gen Cutlass Supreme
If you decide to drive up there this summer you should plan it around the Oldsmobile Homecoming car show which used to be held in the very same lot the picture above was taken at - Last year there was a couple hundred cars (200-300 maybe?) - It was a great time!
