Word is that it will be europe only the first year? - The rumors have changed a couple of times..
  2. The 'proposed' Imperial is based on a lengthened LY (Next generation LX) platform stretched around 6" according to rumors. This could extend the number of models based of the LX/LY platform to 5.... The styling is love it of hate it - which has recently been a big hit with buyers who are tired of the 'appliances' that the Japanese have been selling - if you don't like it don't buy it... Just my $.02
  3. That pretty much sums it up right there...
  4. Being a B-pillarless coupe seems to help that out a little bit... :)
  5. I forgot the other thing too - Pilarless window glass makes it very easy to come back with a drop top next year at Detroit.... :P
  6. Holy 'lots of haters' Batman! There would not be much competion between $38K Charger/Magnum SRT-8 or the $42.6K 300 SRT-8 compared to a $28K Challenger R/T - there are many people that wouldn't even consider some of the other options but might like the Challenger - Parts bin technology helps to keep all of the prices (and PROFITS) competitive I must have missed the day in engineering school where glass helped side impacts - frameless windows seem to be working just fine for MB so I think they will be ok on a Dodge - Beside the look of a REAL hardtop makes it worth the design work - hands down (This has GOT to be my biggest post ever! :P )
  7. I think Chrysler is slowly letting a couple of photos leak out to really drum up the interest for the Challenger at the show 6.1L Hemi 425HP in R/T form? $28K? What more do you need to know?
  8. ahh the days when you could tell a '62 from a '63 or a '64 - I have to say that '63 is my favorite of the generation and it is also normally the hardest to find/find parts for... :)

Those powertrains aren't even including the SRT version... :P I would expect the 2.4L turbo with around 230-250 HP possibly with AWD and a stardard 5 sp or optional CVT?
  10. I found ugly yellow and nice blue 442's SWEET!!!
  11. a '90 Trofeo eating batteries? Well lets see it had the VIC, sunroof and all of the other power goodies of that car (ie everything and then some) - When I bought it the car was already 10 years old so after time the wiring of those crazy cars starts to go... I highly recoomend an 88 or 98 from the same era (late 80's early 90's) the 3800 is a great powerplant for those cars with upper teens milage around town and upper twenties to low thirties on the highway...
  12. my 3800 in my toro went to 190K before it lost compression in the #1 cylinder - and the guy I sold it to is still driving it!!!! :P Now the battery on the other hand.. well lets just say I bought 4 in 4 years.. and it has went through more since... :(
  13. What about FWD in 1966? What about Airbags in 1974? (Sorry I have to chime in with some Olds love :) )
  14. I think the market needs another SUV like I need holes in my head but Chrysler is just going after a little bit small Escalade/Navigator market.. can you blame them?
  15. What happened to the other thread where this was mentioned too??? Now I am confused
  16. A scaled down '66 Toro would still draw stares even amongst all the cars on the road today... :)
  17. I love how everybody is either very for it or very against it - It shows that the design actually embarks some EMOTION (holy cow!!) - It is these feelings that the new GTO lacks despite how competent the car is - Ford dealers know how far a little emotion can go as they sell the crap out of V6 Mustangs (which after a recent 600-700 mile trip I can say is terribly boring motor) I look for this car to be a big hit at NAIAS B)
  18. Serves you right Bastards!!! - sorry I am done...
  19. you bring a good point - I understand about the chevy engine being able to produce more power for cheap but I like the idea of using the Toro body with the updated Aurora racing engine :AH-HA_wink:
  20. Drool..... :o I want!! Chevy Block!!!??!! Ehh that is replacable! :)
  21. Doesn't look like the previous owner gave a crap about its rarity... go figure... It would be a fun car to have but my favorite that I saw in a U-Pull-It yard was an 89-90 International Series Cutlass coupe with the 2.8/3.1 and the 5 Speed - That one has to be incredibly rare!! :) (Too bad it was gutted and in the junkyard!!)
  22. I believe you are right but with a catch! That one pictured I believe had the 'shortstar' but there was also a metalic red one that had a supercharged 2.4L (Post Quad4) motor. I had the opportunity to hear that car run and drive and it sounded quite good! :) As for the convertible they also had at one time an Achieva convertible in the works - I have seen both of these in person as well and they BOTH could have been good sellers to replace the Cutlass droptops.... :) But as someone else said - water under the bridge now....
  23. Am I the only one that thinks the new Relay looks an awful lot like the older Sila-hooties? I notice the most from a side view but I think overall it is there... http://www.saturn.com/saturn/vehicles/relay/overview.jsp
  24. 125K? She is just getting broken in!! :) - Welcome back man!
