Remembering those that died in the 9/11 attacks
I remember my grandfather waking me up after the first plane hit the WTC and said a plane just crashed into the World Trade Center, they think it was terrorists. I remember jumping out of bed and running to the living room to see the horrific sight before me on the TV. I will never forget those images for the rest of my life, and my grandfather's words for the rest of my life.

I made a small fortune today, GM stock up $1.33
Woot, out all of the companies I own shares in, GM is the one I have the least amount of shares in. All of my stocks were bought in my name by my grandmother during the 80's, including the GM shares, no doubt her decision to buy a small amount was driven by GM's low quality products and the uncertain future the company was facing then. I'm even surprised she bought any shares at all. I'm actually about to sell roughly 250 shares of my stock in PPG Industries, to help fund some much needed work on my Riviera. Edit- she bought them in the 80's not the 90's.

Right do something about it, me, one man without an ounce of power put a stop to it. Brilliant response. Hey you hear that guys, we have the solution to the problem with illegal immigrants, I Delta Force79 will end it starting tomorrow as I take every off the books job available here in the New York City area, after that I will move to other counties until I have rid the entire state of this problem. Remember kids, you too can prevent forest fires!

Cars... What should I do...
Loss of power and ping under acceleration. I'm sure there are more negatives to running regular, but these are what I've experienced so far. I'm planning to do some major work to my drivetrain in the coming months and then I'll have to make the switch back to premium fuel.

Cars... What should I do...
Well I do know the supercharged 3800's require premium fuel, I've been running regular in mine due to cost and its has taken a toll on the motor.

You clearly need to get your facts straight, I have yet to mention anything regarding the military in this thread. So I have no idea where you got that from. As far as you other "conclusions" on who or what I am, you are entitled to your opinion. You can go about living your life accepting any and all change no matter if for good or bad. If you're content with this countries obvious illegal immigration problem and for the last time...OUR f@#kING CATERING TO ONE SPECIFIC GROUP OF PEOPLE where as everyone else who may not understand the English language are forced to either learn it or not understand what it is they're hearing or reading. The problem with the music I have, the problem with the illegal immigrating all goes back to something I said earlier in this thread.... A LACK OF RESPECT. To answer your question about my neighbors being legal or not, I have yet to go knock on their door to ask, nor do I have the desire to. As to why I'm using Mexicans as an example, Mexico has a large number of illegals coming into this country, along with Cuba among others. Look you want to come to this country, FINE BY ME, but do it the right way, learn the language if you plan to live here, become a citizen, get a real job, pay taxes like American's have to. Why is the stereotypical job of a spanish person a gardener? Because its a job that involves no speaking for the most ( no need to learn the language) it's a job you more than likely get paid off the books on ( therefore no taxes to be paid). Then they can say to family and friends hey look I got a job here and I dont have to speak English, come here I'll get you work. That's how it all starts and that's what it's becoming more and more every day. Period.

If you would go back and read one of my original posts in this thread I've already stated the police have yet to do anything about it. If you're trying to call me a racist you fail, because I have not said one racist thing in this thread and as a matter of fact here's a little more info for you, to the left of my house is another Spanish family, they have lived here for well over 20 years and are in fact friends of the family. They are are respectable hard working people that become legal citizen's whenever it was they moved to this country, however many years ago that may have been. They are quiet and they too have complained about our new neighbors to the right of my house. I already stated that 3 new houses were built next to me, and those 3 houses are owned by Spanish families....I have yet to say one bad thing about the other 2 households. So don't give me this racist Archie Bunker bull$h!. What I do have a problem with is the catering to a specific group of people who come into this country more times than not illegally and begin to work illegally, while our country continues to sit idle and not address the issue. While on top of it all they are clearly taking over, as others have said when you call somewhere and have to press 1 to continue in English otherwise it's Spanish. Not Chinese, not Italian, not German, not French. Spanish or English. That is the problem. Is this the United States of America or North Mexico now?

BTW for your information I was born and raised in The Bronx, and when my family came to this country in 1966 they moved to The Bronx. So my family has been here 42 years and 35 years in this very house. Indeed the times have changed here too, a year ago we didn't have to hear the f@#king music coming from next door on a daily basis.

lol...say what you want, call me Archie Bunker, the fact remains this country has been run into the f@#king toilet and it's $h! like illegal immigration that's the reason. Yes times change, and NOT FOR THE BEST. No i will not accept it and I will not tuck my f@#king tail between my legs like you and say oh it's okay things change. This country is in so much debt and yet we hard working American CITIZEN'S have to pay more taxes while these bums come in and take all these illegal jobs working off the books and yet we still cater to them. It's a f@#king disgrace plain and simple.

This is obviously a waste of time trying to make you see the problem, Lets keep the flood gates open and keep allowing more and more Spanish people immigrating here and NOT becoming legal citizen's and start posting more billboards in Spanish, maybe have the local news broadcasts in Spanish with English closed captioning because it's all in the "numbers".
-
Something that really pisses me off.
Because you fail to see the problem is what I'm laughing about. If lets say a 1/4 of the US population immigrated to Mexico, and began to put up signs in English, began playing Metallica and other "American" music till all hours of the night, started advertising in English in the Newspapers and at stores, you don't think the Mexicans would be like WTF?

Something that really pisses me off.
I don't speak Spanish, my friends don't speak Spanish, nor do a lot of people I know. You guys make me laugh, I know let me go back to school so I can learn Spanish and feel more at home now. Give me a break.

Okay, so why aren't there more Asian based advertisements based on your theory. The Asian advertising I see is pretty created by the Asian's living here, in places like China town etc. You won't find a sign in Japanese at a Walmart, bu tI can bet you'll find a Spanish one.

I was responding to the comment that English isnt our national language. Perhaps not officially but it's been the rule of thumb for quite some time...lol. It's more than just marketing, if that was purely the case why aren't any of the other major languages use din advertising? French, German, Italian, etc.
-
Something that really pisses me off.
I live in NYC, and our national language is English, plain and simple. China town and all the take out places scattered all over the country are one thing, they are exclusive to those set areas/ stores. When I drive down I-95 and I see a billboard in entirely Spanish without a single word of English there's a difference. When I get an automated phone recording when calling any major company today and I'm asked to continue in English press 1 that pisses me off. It's very rare that the other choice(s) is something more than Spanish. That's a fact. Everyone I've ever met in my entire 26 years on this planet that was born and raised here speaks English. They may speak other languages at home with family...but that English is still what they speak in public and understand it is the language of this country. My family still speaks Italian at home, but when they are in public they don't go around speaking Italian at the grocery stores to the clerks or asking for a manager because the coupons aren't in Italian.

I would be, my family didnt go around blasting Italian music, it has nothing to do with what nationality they are, this is America, our national language is English....learn to speak, enough of these bull$h! Spanish ads, instruction manuals and all this other bull$h!. Force them to learn the language like everyone else who came to this country at one point or another had to do. Again going back to my family, when they got a new appliance or something, they had to learn to read so they could understand what they had to do to make it work, or with a car's owners manual.

Do you like cats?
I've always had both cats and dogs, my preference is cats though. They do their own thing and leave me alone when I'm not in the mood to be bothered. My current dog is a German Shepard and he is a total psycho, he's 7 years old I believe and is still a big baby, lets put it this way...my mother has to literally spoon feed him his food.

Something that really pisses me off.
This is a topic of discussion among myself and a couple of my friends quite often and we share your feelings DF. It is a disgrace to this nation IMO. My family are Italian immigrants than came to this county in 1966 ( at least my father's side of the family) and what did they do? My grandparents who were grown adults with 3 children to raise, learned how to speak English, my grandfather going to night school while working during the day as a carpenter for Fordham University. Eventually moving to head carpenter by the time he retired in 1992. My grandmother worked her way up to supervisor at one of the Stella Doro cookie factories. My father who had never spoken a word of English was only 13 when they came here, and had to learn English while in school with all the 'normal' kids. My father grew up to open his own business, but always had a job and worked hard without standing on corners for these vans that come and pick you up to bring you to the next job. It sickens me to see what has become of this country in just about every facet, and this acceptance of illegal immigrants and such seriously needs ot be put to an end. Just recently 3 houses were built next door to where I live, and in each house a spanish family has moved in. One of these families is always in their backyard BLASTING Spanish music. This goes on from the afternoon hours till sometimes 2, 2;30 AM. My grandmother whom I live with and is now 78 years old and recently a breast cancer survivor cannot get any rest with this music blasting ( which you can hear from down the block) and yet their total lack of respect goes by without so much as a single police officer coming by and saying hey this is disturbing the peace. Before I go on with my rant which will probably last a lot longer than this paragraph I will stop myself. Things need to change, and now.
