  1. Shortest, my grandfather's '96 Taurus. I inherited the car after he passed in October 2002, but I had been using in since probably that September. So Sept '02 till about March '03. I put 4K miles on it in that time and it needed a transmission so I traded it with my father for my dad's '85 Chrysler 5th Avenue. BTW, the Taurus only had 44K miles on when it needed a tranny. My grandfather bought it brand new and NEVER beat on it, nor did I for that matter. Longest, is one of my current cars, my '79 Delta 88 Royale. I bought it in October '01.
  2. I just noticed while looking at it again, the picture of the rear seat, if you look closely there is the Rocket emblem up the middle of the seat.
  3. Lol we had 2 '87 Ciera's in my family, both with the 2.8 liter motor. Both were reliable and comfortable cars.
  4. Saw this while cruising Ebay, figured it was worth posting...pretty interesting and it's the only one I've ever seen. click

My '78 98 had the windshield antenna and got normal AM/FM reception as far as I can recall. My '79 88 has the optional power antenna mounted on the right front fender.

I've always been partial to the 77-79 GM B-Bodies and C, D bodies...That stems from the fac tmy first car was a '78 Ninety Eight. The Olds' are indeed my favorites of that generation, as I currently own a '79 Delta 88...but I also like the Electra Park Ave's of that era and the Fleetwood's and Coupe DeVille's as well. In recent years I've had an undying desire to own mid 70's Imperial or New Yorker ( with the Imperial front end) I love the waterfall grilles on those boats, and the interior is huge and so comfy looking.

  8. Simply awesome, the attention to detail and the quality of the work stands out. That right there is the definition of "the vision" and seeing it through.
  9. +1 however since buying my Riviera, I've grown very fond of having a coupe, especially having bigger doors for easy entry and exit. My next car will be a coupe.
  10. The price of 87 octane has finally dipped bellow the $4 mark for the first time here in lower Westchester County, NYC area in the last 5, 6 months. Granted not across the board though, most places are still above the $4 mark, however my friend said he filled up for $3.89 or $3.99 can't remember off hand. My driving has become limited to about once or twice a week due to gas prices and my current financial situation. So this drop is a bit of relief, however it needs to drop more.
  11. I own a '79 Olds Delta 88...Hence Delta...and force for the obvious military connection...
  12. Wow, what a total letdown. After the transition the Enclave had from concept to production, I had high hopes GM was finally getting it right for Buick. The Enclave concept was a beautifully crafted crossover from front to back and it is just as beautiful in production form. So what the f@#k happened between the transition from Invicta to LaCrosse? GM pull your heads out of your asses, the truck market is dying, your cars NEED to be knockouts...this sorry sack of $h! is nowhere near being a knockout. Granted the picture quality is low grade, and the interior seems to be fairly close to the concept's, but the exterior seems to have totally lost it's flair...and holy Lexus ass Batman....
  13. I tried as well and no Camaro specific survey for me either.
  14. ...and they'll be another one on the road in due time....refer to my sig :AH-HA_wink:
  15. Also CJ 7's had them before they became the Wrangler. VW Rabbit's, and yes the Mar VI's had them as well. Jaguar's from the 80's as well, at least until the boxier designs came out for the XJS and XJ8 came out ( not sure the exact model years) I'm thinking around 1990 or so. Edit: I didnt see Moltar's post regarding the Jag's, so yeah I guess add them to the list...lol.
  16. Checker's is good, I'm also a big White Castle fan. Growing up in The Bronx it's pretty much a given. Lastly, I'm surprised no one ( at least from NY) has mentioned Nathan's, their fries are flat out awesome when fresh. Philly cheese steak's, real burgers that are grilled etc. I also enjoy KFC too, love the biscuits.
  17. Looks about as close to the concept as the production Challenger does to it's concept. Good to see both Chrysler and GM staying true to a vision for once. However when comparing the production Camaro to the concept, I'm left feeling like it somehow became short and stubby from the profile, where the concept look slong and sleek. But overall I think they nailed it and didn't water it down much, if at all.

I've always loved George Carlin's work, hearing this news today is truly sad.
  21. I love Pink Floyd and I agree with Capriceman's favorite songs from them. Time and Comfortably Numb, and also Another Brick In The Wall. David Gilmour is a guitar God IMO, righ tup there with Eric Clapton, Hendrix etc. Listen to this awesome version of Comfortably Numb from the Pulse tour in 1994, including a 4 minute solo, one of the best solo's ever.
  22. First off I believe welcome to C&G is in order, so welcome! Second, as a fellow Riv owner it's nice to see another last gen Riv on the site, she looks very clean, how about some interior shots. Best of luck with it BTW my Riv is featured in my sig, as well as a thread about it in this section, but I'm too lazy to search for it.
  23. Two words...Dodge Challenger.
