Lack of a frunk in the Lyriq for me, not necessarily looks like a mistake. I dont feel like it might be a mistake. A lost opportunity to offer a tad more storage space is how I would classify it rather than it being aa mistake. Because I reserve my opinion to see how GM's Ultium platform is engineered and utilized. Yes, there is free space up there in the front. If GM engineered it for the use for powertrain bits, computing ECUs, electrical harnesses or whatnot instead of cramming those where the batteries are and limiting cooling hardware and other stuff limiting the cooling space for batteries, then Id say a job well done for GM engineering. Batteries, with what Ive read on them, need space and hardware to properly cool. All others cram all kinds of stuff in that batteerry space just to have a frunk. That is one solution that benefits the consumer for storage. But if cooling is not adequate, then it takes away from that advantage and becomes a disadvantage in another way in some form or other. If GM managed to have their batteries perform better than Ford or Tesla because they took away the consumer's advantage for a frunk, but gave the consumers a better performing battery, then the consumer has that as an advantage. Remember, batteries do catch on fire after and insufficient cooling might actual be a cause regardless how good Tesla cools their batteries....or anybody else's battery tech... Including GM's Bolt. https://www.washingtonpost.com/nation/2022/06/22/tesla-fire-sacramento/ Maybe GM and LG have learned a lesson and maybe this is a solution? I dont know as I dont know how GM uses the frunk space for the Lyriq. I itching to learn more about it though. Would be interesing to know why the Hummer EV has a frunk and the Lyrriq does not. Is it because the Hummer has an abundance of space underneath where thee batteries go and the Lyriq is best engineered to use the frunk space instead?

I wanted the AVs to win. Not so much as the AVs winning as much as I didnt want Tampa Bay winning. The Lightning won last year. Not because they couldnt win it all without going over the salary cap. Because they could have won it all WITHOUT going over 7 or 8 million. In a loop hole. Congrats to them for benefiting from a loophole and the season started and ended for them perfectly where they benefitted from it. But it kinda still is poopy for this kinda thing to happen. But in the long run I was OK with it...up until John Cooper decided to whine about Kadri's goal to which he specifically said the league does NOT want Tampa Bay to win a Stanley Cup.... He could have whined about Kadri's goal not being allowed and he would have been justified with THAT narrative. But to cry and mislead into thinking that the league does not want Tampa to win is sheer arrogance and is NOT tolerated by me. The league allowed the salary cap loop hole in their favour to play out and eventually it lead to a Stanley Cup. The league didnt even reprimand Tampa Bay for Tampa losing draft picks.... They let Tampa go scott free.... Any team with a salary cup that exceeds 8 million could have won the Stanley Cup last year. Id say the league and the situation favoured Tampa enough. This year, a better team won. If Tampa had that same loop hole carry out this year, they would win it again. Id say, THAT is a worse unfair thing to happen to the other 15 teams last year than a blown call for them this year. Blown calls in the Stanley Cup playoffs is a tradition. Loop holes in salary caps are not... Phoque Tampa Bay Lightning. I do feel bad for Corey Perry though!!!

LOL that is THE idea. Im not too keen to have my face on the webs... OK...here is another clearer pic Head coach is Barbara, top left. My daughter is right next to her. Im the bald dude 4rth from left to right top. Leanne is the other assistant coach 7th top left to right. The other dude was just a dad that helped us with practices but was not part of the "coaching staff'. This was in 2018 Again in 2018, we joined a regional tournament in the middle of the year for fun and practice playing against other teams in the greater Montreal region. St Lazare, our nemesis wasnt at this particular tournament. We won bronze at this tourney as well. In 2017, a year prior, we were in that same tournament. We won bronze. For 2 years straight, we earned 4 bronze medals. 2 in small tournaments and 2 in the end of year bashes. In the middle of the year smaller tournaments, thee softball teams travel to the hosting regions area and play against otheer teams that have joined. In the end of year tournaments, you play against thee teams in your region, win gold in those and earn the right to play the Provincials. Against other Gold winning teams from other regions of your Province. (you might play against a team or two if you happened to join a mid-season tournament and that particular team was there as well...) win that tournament and play in the Nationals against other Canadian softball teams. And I guess this is how Canada's women's national softball team is recruited. Our league is one step below the A players. My daughter could make the A league, but she, and her mother and I, collectively agree that its too much softball and our focus is on schooling. If only Canada was like the US and offered sports scholarships in Universities.... I would have LOVED if my daughter (and she too wouldnt have minded) if she would have played for University of Michigan...for an example. We watch Big 10 women's softball games and tournaments all the time. We discuss things. Academics. And why THAT is soooo important. Sports and necessary, but if we are NOT blessed with natural athletic ability, schooling is a far better avenue for a career. And even IF blessed with natural athletic ability, schooling is necessary for a number of things... Dumb as a doorknob is NOT a way to live one's life... I played baseball when I was young, and I have showed both my son and daughter MY tricks. But, its always beneficial to watch how other athletes play the sport. Instead of "paying" a mentor or so called coach to "teach", sports on the TV offer a GREAT way to learn... I coudnt make any of my kids watch MLB on TV, but with the Big 10 women's softball, my daughter found a connection looking at other girls play fastpitch softball. And I must admit, I enjoy fastpitch ball over those pro MLB games as well!!! Less drama over unwritten rules and blown strike calls... If as a pro baseball player you KNOW the umpire will call a strike, just phoquing swing at the ball and hit it!!! If you as a multi-million dollar pro baseball player has a hard time hitting a particular pitch to which an umpire will call a strike on, even though it might BE a ball, just phoquing go to a batting cage and practice hitting those same pitches.... If as a pitcher you whine because of a bat flip or a trot because he hit a homerun off you, suck it up!!! Learn how NOT to throw cheeseballs so the hitters dont hit homeruns off of you... PS: 100+ MPH on a fastball and the ball will travel far... Especially when hitting today is all ABOUT the longball. Every swing is a homerun swing nowadays... Besides, if a batter connects with a 100+ MPH fastball, JUST connects with it.....its a feat in of itself. He hits a dinger with it, he DESERVES a little celebration. Learn to adapt to hitters being ABLE to hit 100+ MPH pitches and become THAT much better. MLB has become such a whiny phoquing league... women's fastpitch softball is sooooo much better and entertaining...

Thanx man! We've been through a lot. Its been probably more than a decade that we have been throwing jabs at each other at the worst of times, but bonding for thee most part through ourr passions. Sports and car!!! At the end of thee day, its all for fun. At least we've created a relationship with each other that we find time to think about each other. I think of you through the Blues and thee 4G Mustang. My neighbour 2 houses down just bought one sometime in June. It looks like some sort of special edition. I havent had time to analyze it orr ask questions about it. Ill take a pic and post it. Ive also got several pics that I took for June spottings that I never posted. We didnt win gold that year. (In 2018) We did win bronze. Everyone is a winner, right? At least I dont drive a CUV... Anyway, St Lazare didnt win anything that year because we were the reason they didnt qualify for the medal round. In 2017, they won gold while we won bronze. They were the reason why we played for the bronze medal. In 2019, we beat ourselves and didnt make it to the medal round. They won Gold. In 2020, we could have won Gold but there was no medal tournament. Just games (Covid) and we were the best team in our league. Last year we fell short in qualifying for the medal round. Yup, our final game to qualify for a medal to determine if we play for bronze and we had to beat them. We didnt. They beat us thrusting them to the Gold game. They won gold. If we beat them that game, we would play each other for the bronze....

xcept we also won a couple of times against them. In 2018 as the last time. Just to say we dont always lose to them. That bald dude is me. My daughter is the 5th girl counting left to right. 3 coaches. Myself at the right. Head coach to the right of me and the coach at the far right. This year we are two coaches. Myself and another dad. we both share head coaching. we have a chance to win it all this year, including beating that rascal of a St Lazare team!

And what do you call this post?- Vaccine discussion
No.... This belongs here as to discuss Musk's incompetency. Its about Musk as the discussion around vaccines were directed by YOU to BE about Musk... stop trolling...- Vaccine discussion
you are not that obtuse.... Stop trolling...- Vaccine discussion
Funny though, Mary Barra's personal life, and the other CEOs, remain private. THAT is what YOU @ccap41 are TROLLING about... Once again, you are proven to just be a-trollin' around... Grow up.....- Vaccine discussion
Somebody else can and will take his place... But lets not forget the shytty dialogue he had that questioned what 5 billion dollars could do for poverty... He MIS-DIRECTED what the intentions were by playing on words that 5 billion dollars doesnt end poverty. And if he was showed that 5 billion dollars could end poverty, he would sell 5 billion dollars worth of his own Tesla shares to quote on quote, "end poverty". well, the hypocrisy is laid on thick here: 1. He CANT sell 5 billion dollars worth of Tesla stock because Tesla stock is pretty much useless and quite possibly worthless... a) half a year later and he wants to buy Twitter for 8 times that, but cant... Solving poverty right???!!! b) Tesla is LOSING billions so the investors wont ALLOW him to sell ANY Tesla stock for Twitter OR for poverty... 2. Whatever amount he has invested in this vaccine endeavor, it will probably EAT 5 billion in NO TIME... a) according to his thought process, its USELESS to spend 5 billion even TRYING to make a difference, because he KNOWINGY MISDIRECTED the 5 billion dollar intention of TRYING TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE AND 5 BILLION DOES MAKE A DIFFERENCE b) In actual truth, HE does NOT need to be INVOLVED in this as there are MANY PHARMACEUTICAL companies WORLDWIDE with ENDLESS AMOUNTS of WORLDWIDE GOVERNMENT MONEY FUNDING FOR VACCINES... ENOUGH MONEY TO CREATE CONSPIRACY THEORIES ALL OVER THE WORLD. AND DARE I SAY: RIGHTFULLY SO FOR ALL THESE CONSPIRACY THEORIES???!!! yeah....maybe he SHOULD use ALL that energy in trying to IMPROVE Tesla, and let others find the solutions to Earth's problems. He is no phoquing saviour of ANY kind... Maybe he should try and save...oh...I dunno.....Tesla... He gives GREAT advice and solutions for OTHERS to follow, but unfortunately HIS own business endeavors are a phoquing mess... That is not a good luck for you or for him... His personal life is ALSO on twitter and social media BECAUSE he LIVES on social media... https://www.cbsnews.com/miami/news/elon-musks-trans-child-wants-nothing-to-do-with-dad-billionaire-leans-toward-support-of-desantis/ Maybe he could offer Marry Barra parental advice too on Twitter?- Vaccine discussion
Id rather thank the doctors and lab research workers instead. THE actual folk that are ACTUALLY doing the problem solving and work to find a cure. Musk is just the story telling salesman employing the doctors and lab researchers.... Kudos for him....but no praise....- Vaccine discussion
Its not about how many entrepreneurial endeavors or how many humanitarian tasks entrepreneurs take on. Its how well they accomplish them. Musk not that long ago, a couple of weeks ago, gave a stern lecture of how Rivian and Lucid should take care of expenses.... He trolled GM for having to go though bankruptcy.... He twitted a couple of days ago that his 2 new factories are losing money... LOTS of money. BILLIONS of money lost... He also forgets that Tesla would have been dismantled a decade ago, just like how his then rival Fisker was had it NOT been for government subsidies to keep Tesla afloat all these years. He also forgets that he continues to GET government subsidies for Tesla to keep on STAYING afloat. If all ties are cut RIGHT NOW, Tesla folds RIGHT NOW.... Also...Space X, that loop thing and most probably this vaccine thing are ALL financed partially BY tax payer money. Its not so much how many projects he takes on. Its more about how piss poor his actual leadership is, how piss poor his decisions are, how piss poor his problem solving is and how piss poor his decisions to tweet about nonsense and bullshyte and how he revises history.... He IS great in telling fairy tales though... He gets politicians to throw public money at him because of it. Ill give him that!!!- Random Thoughts Thread

sure... I never suggested otherwise just because I didnt mention FWD appliance vehicles in my rant there. But with CUVs though, the appliance, meh factor is accentuated 10 fold..- Chevrolet News:Chevy Blazer EV Full Reveal set for July 18th
And I too, understand where you are coming from. About the Flex: 1. NOT a CUV. More like a station wagon. On the D4 platform. Sure, the Explorer is based off of this platform, but so is the Taurus. The important thing about that is that the Flex is low to the ground. Im will to bet that the Flex and Taurus have the same ground clearance. While the Taurus drives like an old man's car, the Flex does not. Ive driven all three (Flex, Taurus, Explorer) when my Fusion was under all these recalls. The dealership was giving me these as loaners. The Fusion had over 10 recalls.... Anyway. The Explorer, with its higher ground clearance, tires not meant for spirited driving coupled that with suspension tuning geared for low common denominator zombie sheeple with no aspirations of having ANY kind of fun...wallowing around. Vomit inducing ride....like I was on a freakin boat on the high seas... The Taurus had almost the same feel, but at least the Taurus was lower to the ground minimizing the wallow-ey suspension travel. I could live with that moreso than I ever could with the Explorer. The Flex, had a more conventional car ride. It does not wallow at all. But the Flex was not marketed to people that are devoid of having any kind of fun in their lives. It looked different because it WAS different from all those other boring suburban appliances we call CUVs. It didnt drive like its only mission in life was to haul little Johnny to baseball practice while watching the game through their smart phone's camera lense while texting and sending pics to friends how little Johnny caught a fly ball... - Vaccine discussion
