Buick News: Whoops! Buick Canada Reveals Existence of V6 for Regal GS
Mt brother had a Fusion 2.0 rental a few years ago while his CTS was in the shop and had a 3.6 13 Impala for work. Back to back, the turbo had WAY more torque off the line, but the V6 had stronger top end, but a less torquey feel. Average FE was pretty similar though. Modern turbo 4s are not what the used to be in the 90s. My old Talon auto with the larger manual turbo was dead until 4k RPMs, then punched you in the back. In my bug there is the slightest hint of turbo lag, but man that engine pulls once the turbo hits (which there is rarely any lag) it is a little rocket for what it is. Now, torque was my old modified 00 GTP. THAT had low end torque, but also a roots SC. That said for 400ish in mods, I ran high 13s in that beast. that said, top end was absolutely horrible when stock, but did get considerable better with the mods.

2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk is the 707 HP SUV We Wanted: Comments
What? Dodge sales were up last month, as were some Fiats. CHrysler only has 2 vehicles and the minivan should have been a Caravan. It WILL be out for the 18 model year and if you think it will have discounts you are out of your freaking mind...... That 3.5 0-60 is certainly conservative. While it is heavier, it has AWD AND it will be able to use the 1st gear unlike the current Charger and Challenger Hellcat. The Demon will be a beast too, can't wait for it. I do find it utterly sad that those that call themselves car guys can't do anything bu attack a company willing to put out this beast.

Lighter coupe vs heavier hatch. On the ST i looked at some more and quickest is still like a 6.1/14.7. the GTi has to be underrated though, 5.6 to 60 with the DCT and 5.9 with the manual and, if I remember, 14.3-14.6. The 0-60 and 1/5 for the bug is 6.3-6.7/15.1 i believe? The exception is the 14 GSR was 6.0/14.8. I like these type of cars so i find this stuff interesting. The 04-05 SRT4 and 09-? Cobalt SS turbo still take the cake as the cheap FWD champs though as both were capable of 1-60 in the 5s and 1/4 mile in the 13s (notice I left out the 03 SRT4 because it had less HP and no LSD, but still good for low 14s and high 13s with luck and perfect conditions/driving). it does seem like Ford it putting some serious torque restrictions on their later turbos as many have seemed to become slower over time.

IMHO, this will be quicker than a Focus ST. C&D's last ST test got 0-60 in 6.3 and 1/4 mile in 14.9. On the other hand, a Civic EX coupe with the turbo 1.5 (tuned for 30 less HP and torque) with the CVT and no limited slip hit 0-60 in 6.6 and 1/4 mile in 15.1. The GTi on the other hand hits 60 in the high 5s. I don't really consider the WRX a very direct competitor because of the higher price and AWD.

2017 Honda Civic Si Finally Shows Up: Comments
I like it and i am sure it will be considerably quicker than the 205 HP suggests. Heck, a basic 1.5T is as quick as the old SI and has at least 30 HP less than this. The red instrument cluster kills it for my colorblind ass though. Looks like I might get another bug in a few years (14+ R-Line with sunroof and the fender audio, but same color and 6 speed manual as i have now).

Jeep is going to really be down until production is fully ramped up on the Compass as the current one and Patriots are running out. Wrangler and Cherokee being slightly down doesn't surprise me either since the new Wrangler is coming is coming soon and I am really liking what I see of what has been leaked and the Cherokee should get a nice makeover pretty soon. CHallenger sales are great considering she is the oldest of the pack and WTF, huge take-up on Journey?!?!

Wish Cadillac would follow suit, but they are changing to yet another stupid alpha-numeric naming scheme. He Conti has grown on me (still hate the door handles) and I would probably take it over a CT6. Art and Science is getting pretty long in tooth as well. Anyways, nothing special here. As most brands, they are seeing spikes in truck/SUV/CUV sales.

Very true. Just hope they aren't setup to give full braking power with just a tip of the beak pedal lol.

RS3 makes me weak in the knees. 400HP, AWD, and turbo 5 cylinder? Ohhhhhhhhh i really like the size too, though I still don't like the sensitive breaks the A3 loaner my brother had and the cupholder location sucks. Still not enough to make me not want one though

C class has jumped up in price, but the A3/A4 fall in line well. I think they would have to do a smaller car right. it would have to be styled well, it would have to cover a whole range, and be competitive. One thing about the 2 others, you can get the A3, S3, or even a crazy S3 and he CLA45 AM is one hell of a performance beast. There would need to be an entire lineup for the Cadillac as well. They also need to start using AWD more, especially in their V models and V Sport models.

Cadillac News: Rumorpile: Peeking Into Cadillac's Product Crystalball
Ah, but people see both the Mercedes and Audi as more prestigious. What is the difference in price between a CLA and C class, or A3 and A4?

What? the ATS is too pricey to be a direct competitor.

Chevrolet News:The 2018 Chevrolet Equinox Could Have Looked So Much Different
Same with my Beetle. Touch points (steering wheel, shifter, controls) feel great. The dash top is hard plastic, but done in a sheen and texture that it still looks good. Even the Camry has a few cheap pieces (namely that $h!ty silver plastic eveyone used the previous decade), but touch points feel fantastic.

I think the CLA/A3 fighter is needed. tha ATS, CTS, and CT6 are hardling setting the sales charts on fire. We will certainly see this and the crossovers. I have my doubts on the CT8 since this thing has been supposed to appear for what, 10 years now? i also uldn't expect the crossovers ot the CLA fighter to use RWD platforms. And that naming scheme sucks so bad..

Jeep us informed once you receive it. That is another one I feel like was simply knocked out of the ballpark. Exactly, GM has their fair share of cheapness and yuck in their inteiors as well. the sad hing there, is that it DOES extend to Cadillac.
