C&G survey
Because of my income and age, and likelihood of my parents will not put in any money, chances are I'd end up with the midline, non-V8... :fcvxplode: If it looks like that'll happen, I may have to go back to my dreams of owning a C4 'vette...

Canada: No sex please until we're 16
Keep in mind there are plenty of conservatives like me who don't care if you're gay. (Get married up here if it bugs you.) Generally, gay people very productive members of a society who do very well for themselves. I'd rather have gay people in my country who contribute to the economy and pay their taxes on time than a fat "religious conservative" slob who sits on the couch all day guzzling Molson and watching "Leave it to Beaver" re-runs collecting "employment insurance" and complaining about how gay people and abortion destroy the moral fabric of the society... I'd watch it if I were you... I think she has a collection of handcuffs and vinyl whips... 'whi-pissh'

Cursing and other NWS posts being tolerated
Sometimes I gotta use the word ass, as in pain in the ass. I'll also do my best to avoid using Sh!t. Sometimes there is no better word to use. I was never one to beat around the bush, so sometimes I do have to curse just to get my point across. However IMO, I don't think the F-Bomb or worse should be tolerated. I don't advocate banning, but a mod should step in. Plus, there's always the emoticon...

Toyota Camry Hybrid Gets The Kid Gloves Treatment
As much as I dislike Toyota and Hybrid's in general, this car deserves credit where credit is due. It's a reasonably priced family sedan that offers space that will allow mom and dad to get the kids from soccer practice to a hockey game, or let them get around the city with relative ease. Isn't that what most people want and need these days? Plus, they may end up saving some cash at the pumps and enjoy the feeling that they are helping to do their part for the environment. Now I'd never buy one, and I'd rather have a fire breathing V8, but GM should be offering a vehicle similar to this. Yes they have the Vue... but a possible hybrid Malibu?... that makes sugar-free iced milk look like a day (or night!) in Cabo...

3000 MPG
I hate these articles... because they always remind me that I had to be smart to go to UBC and despite the fact that I live a stones throw away from it, I have to go across town to the "lesser" university filled with the hippie-dippie types who preach pinko-ism and tree-huggery... UBC's science dept has broken much ground in cancer prevention and medicine in general... SFU's (mine) science dept seems more keen in finding ways to get more liquor in your system, faster...

Why the new Camaro will fail
I wonder what this guy would've said or thought about the Chrysler 300 and Dodge Magnum... Chances are, North America may have proved him wrong on that one...

Paranormal
I don't think so... And if it turns out I'm wrong, I doubt Intelligent life would really want to contact us. Two reasons... one, our race is kinda mean and two... they likely have wireless internet and have been to YouTube and seen that we're also kinda dumb... Besides... ever notice how it's people in the deep south who only seem to claim they were abducted. You never hear of a Japanese person or African dude getting abducted...

Crushing rice in Toronto
Living in Vancouver B.C., it seems like every second night you hear about some idiot who gets injured or killed when street racing. Hell, The street I live next to always attracts racers at 1 in the morning. I doubt this will stop the ricing fad, but it may hopefully prevent guys my age from illegally racing. With mandatory jail sentences and such, not to mention the fact that departments may soon crush your car, I think it'll deter some people. Just recently in Toronto, the Manchesters, a married couple who were celebrating their anniversary were making a left turn onto a suburban street when they got hit by two Honda's which were at speeds of about 150km. Both Honda drivers survived and got carted to the hospital. The Manchesters died instantly and their bodies were mingled in the wreckage. As emergency crews tried to recover the bodies, they found themselves taunted and harassed by the friends of the racers. They were also snapping photos of the wreckage with their cell phone cameras... A New York Police Sergeant said that this sort of callousness is typical. Many street racers will often remark "I don' care officer, it's what I do, I'll take my chances in court." In my country, they often do, with a grin on their faces (I've been to one of the trials), and they often find themselves getting a tap on the wrist. So I hope this bill can deter more idiots from hitting the streets and hitting innocent lives.

GM slams the NY Times
tundra = cold, barren, inhospitable and thoroughly unappealing. Hm-mmm... The other funny thing about the Tundra is the fact that its (permafrost) is melting because of Global Warming... probably due to (in part) large SUV's

- GM made to shorten response to Friedman
Might be for a couple reasons... One... he MAY have owned a GM at one time and something didn't work out too well... Two... GM is still Number One. Therefore, it makes easier to hit and criticize them. If you're number one, you are going to take the flack. (McDonalds always catching hell for fat kids despite the fact that it's oils are healthier and has a more nutritious menu than Burger King or KFC and yet those two rarely catch hell) and Three... He might be preaching to the choir. He may have a good idea of the demographic that reads his columns. They may likely be import drivers or not drive large SUV's... Instead of upsetting the readership, he keeps them happy, they keep reading, he keeps his job.- GM made to shorten response to Friedman
This is the type of free press Canadians and North American's are fighting overseas for? Honestly, describing GM as a "Crack Dealer" seems more offensive than refuting Friedman's arguments as rubbish. And giving GM only 200 words? That is totally ineffective for a rebuttal and could furthur make GM look foolish. Either the entire editorial board agrees with Friedman, or they are worried that the readership may decline once they get the other side of the story. Despite the opinions posted on this page, the NY Times is generally regarded as a model of journalistic integrity and good, fair reporting. But their actions against GM fly in the face of that integrity.- New ES350 Leaves Lienert Cold
I love the Kimono interior design... Lesson for Toyota. Don't try for "passion" because you ain't going to pull it off. - GM made to shorten response to Friedman
