looks like a sporty, modern chevy tracker, but in a good way.
  2. Something I noticed lately... the Outlook's badge font looks oddly simmilar to the Subaru Outback's... lol

I'd think development costs would be significantly less... thus, BMW's ICE method making it to market before the fuel cell vehicles. IMO, the hydrogen ICE isn't a bad stopgap product, but isn't using hydrogen to its full potential.
  4. in many's opinions, but not all... each has its own beauty. Of course, I'm not biased...
  5. better start building more nuclear power plants... we're gonna need the electricity.

nah, I think it's just a windy road. They'd have to make a bigger deal out of it to really be "taking a shot" at mazda.

does this say "lincoln navigator" to anyone else? Doesn't look as classy as the navigator, but it almost looks like a rebadge (obviously isn't though)
  8. I've always liked the red one a lot, the green one's pretty good, and the black one... I want to like it, but I also want to see a side profile shot. It has a lot more slope to the nose, which could be ok, could be not noticable depending on the fender slope, or could be awkward looking...
  9. When I worked at a Saturn dealer, about 1 out of 4 Vues had a slight rattle that had to do with a piece in the instrument cluster shroud that would rattle when cool, but if warmed, expand and not rattle. They knew of the problem, and how to fix it, but I think they weren't allowed to do it before someone bought it, because they wouldn't get reimbursed or something. *shrug* They seemed like very solid vehicles to me, and most didn't rattle that I noticed. Then again, I drive an S-Series, which definately does rattle a bit, so it might have been that I didn't notice since it was better... lol
  10. I thought it was already stated in a previous thread that the new Corsa wouldn't meet US safety standards, and thus couldn't be Saturn-ized?

GM - paint the bumpers! At LEAST on the Red Line, preferably on all models!
  12. do we know anything about this? Looks like they just removed the rear seats and put in a fence/barrier. *shrug* Looks sharp, as the new Corsa generally does...

...someone should do a chop where all the unpainted bumper stuff is painted... I bet it'd look WORLDS better. Heck, to make the chop easier, don't try to do a perfect color match - make it a little darker - return of two-tone!

That's pretty sweet. Too bad real life traffic conditions aren't as constant and lacking in obstacles as a cone course.

that's 2 hybrids and 3 non-hybrids - they mention the 2.4L and 2 6-cyls. That's 5 models, and we don't even know if that includes the Red Line. Yup, bigger lot time... lol
  16. The utility of a tractor, the beauty of a school bus... The thing'd have to be really cheap, efficient, comfortable, reliable... yeah, it'd have to be a lot of things to get over all that ugly. Or maybe it's actually the Scion xB replacement...

CAT would be good... Probably too expensive for them, though.

I think I mostly like the look of it. Not bad. Would this be closer in size to say, the HHR, or the Equinox?
  19. I'd think it means they only mean for them to run that long, since they're more for R&D purposes (well, and some marketing... ) than anything. Not a final product. It wouldnt' suprise me if the first fuel cell vehicles from GM (if they're the first to market) are only leased, like they did with the EV1. Really, it's a wise move to keep from having a potentially one-off hugely unique product bog you down with years of support issues.

Looks nice, and they're built right here in Lafayette, IN.

looks ok, not great, IMO. They need to stop it with the unpainted plastic bumpers, really...

To all critics of this car... test drive it. The ones I sat it had properly aligned door panels, too.

Perhaps a website should be started to identify the truely, truely good Saturn dealers. Get people to check out their local Saturn dealer, and see which ones will let you just buy the car, which ones will require you to buy extra crap, and which ones will just plain charge you extra. With enough publicity, it could be a strong pressure tactic for all the Saturn dealers to "play nice."
  24. Plus, the more cars sold, the more that fixed costs are spread out, so the more profit (or less loss) the company takes per vehicle. If all the volume cars dissapeared, they'd have that much more fixed cost resting on the high-margin cars, maybe so much that they wouldn't make money... It's more about accounting than actual vehicle cost.
  25. Cooperation - definately Merger - no, terrible.
