  1. thanks for trying to derail the conversation now that it's back on track.having been here for so long, you think you'd know better.
  2. i completely agree!!
  3. Toyota can't be stopped 'dead in its tracks' even if another bomb was dropped on Japan.
  4. this could be an interesting film
  5. nav screen 'pops' up out of dash. you can see part of it in the shots.......(at least I think that's the case)
  6. too much hype. expectations were too high!
  7. too late. this car, with 300hp will murder the STS on it's own.
  8. i suspect it will look even better in person than in pictures. i'll find out, next week!
  9. i will be there on monday the 15th. fly, send me a camera (and a gorgeous model) and i'll take the pictures!!!
  10. right, a tarted up Corvette!
  11. don't forget about dads! we drive them too. If Hyundai can come to market with 2 competitive minivans(Sedona/Entourage) then sure as hell GM can figure out a way to do the same.
  12. that makes some sense
  13. that makes absolutely no sense to me. not the part of having an engine with hp rating between 300 and 500, but i don't think that there is any ultra V8 in development that will be to market in that time frame. (i fully expect CTS-V to use LS?) and that's not based on any inside info, it just doesn't add up to me. the NS makes 320hp and was significantly re-worked for XLR and RWD. adding DI should take that to 350+ish. so explain the benefit of some other engine architecture? does not compute.

    what V8? NS or OHV?
  15. yes you did, kinda sorta. you said the 'segment' was not profitable. perhaps you meant that it was not profitable for GM.
  16. because with minimal changes and nominal cost to lambda they can probably build a minivanbecause it is still a big market because without one, what are all those Uplander/Montana owners gonna buy when their lease ends because with the right product people will buy a GM minivan over a Honda. (in the same way they will by a Malibu over an Accord or a CTS over a G35/325) it's all about product. because Chevy, the volume leader, doesn't have a lamba product
  17. just out of curiosity, exactly what 'big corner' did Cadillac turn?
  18. i think it sounds like a long way off considering how long rumours having been flying around (Years)
  19. GM needs a minivan.
  20. GM will stop making minivans just like they are closing the Oshawa plant. i'd look for a minivan-esque vehicle that carries some sort of 'crossover-type' moniker. it's not a minivan, it's a family oriented crossover utility vehicle with rear sliding doors.
  21. if you want it stopped, why do you keep posting?

thanks for posting. how do you like your 'niche' vehicle?
  23. here's where a little common sense (at least from my perspective) comes into play. i don't think a base GP owner/shopper is likely to look at a base CTS. however, I do think an Regal GS or Allure CXS or GP GXP owner/shopper would.
  24. US prices CTS 3.6l with 17" sport pkg - $36,500 LaCrosse CXS almost loaded- $31,000 I don't know, is $5,000 50% of $31,000? P.S. both vechicles come with front laminated windshield and tempered side glass.
