  1. If you have ever heard of Levittown, then you know it was the first suburb. We are in the town next door. Built a year after Levittown was built, East Meadow was for people who wanted a better, most expensive version of the Levitt houses. They sold for $6995 in 49 and E. Meadow houses sold for $9995.

The regel...o I loved that car when my dad had it...what a rock. well made commercial too. Todays buicks cant really claim new things like that regal commercial did because todays buicks are just pricey chevies.

My take on compacts...not in any order. Mini-a poor mans BMW, very unique. Miata- too cute-sy looking Mazda3- one of the top compacts but oddly proportioned and tiny backseat. Solstice-beautiful roadster, excellent price. a bit more feminine then SKY 2008 Astra-very euro inspired interior, excellent looks but questionable interior Rabbit-eh...reminds me of a typical teen car Civic- very unique styling inside and out, excellent overall but takes time getting used to. 2008 Lancer-much improved over previous gens. very sporty look, well priced Sentra- typical "shift 2.0" styling, much better then previous model HHR-pulls off retro well with modern interior. a bit slow with base engine but overall excellent value Vibe-eh...its a toyota in costume...and its slow Cobalt- better looking then ion and gauges in correct place but thats it. SS rocks though tC-excellent value but will go down as rice boy car New Beetle-still stands out in the crowd with unique features Tiburon-great car for tyhe price but has a hyundai badge which downgrades it unfortunatelly 2008 Impreza- mini japanese sebring styling...not much opinion 2008 xB-looses nasty box design, better but still odd. best standard features for the money Elantra- dull PT Cruiser-still cool no matter what. base engine a bit slow...interior was better quality pre 06 Caliber- ok...just ok with a few unique features 2008 Focus-yuck yuck yuck! worse then an 03 ion Spectra-no comment Corolla-old boring and bland but still sells well Ion- ugly yet has inspired many designs in cars...odd but true.

Eh, he seemed more intrested in purchasing the car and restoring it himself. I'd rather have my cousin use one of his contacts. I think I'll get a better quality job.
  6. You are all so touchy feely when it comes to interiors lol. look, the dashboard can be as soft as it wants to be....if its not attached titghtly enough, it will still rattle. You could have the hardest dashboard, if it is attached tightly, you will never have rattles...thats the case with my aunts PT. The dashboard is all hard, but I have never heard it rattle. And it's not like I caress the thing when I'm in it.

I know the car has to be present but it's just so hard to get the car around...its not registered/licensed/insured, so even if I wanted to take the car to the shop, it would be highly risky. Plus, centain things(breaklight, tails) dont work so If I brought the car it would have to be some place very local. And about finding a replacement skin...never gonna happen...GM was fond of slightly changing this car every model year so the body lines wouldn't match and finding a 66 is extremely hard. I've emailed my cousin who has a friend whos job is finding classics , restoring them, and selling them so that could greatly benifet me. Even my cousin looks fors cars for the guy and he gets a slice of the profit for finding the cars. Also my godfather who gave me the car is asking around...The more connections I can get, the better deal I can hammer out. Thanks for your imput guys!

I'm just going to talk to the guy...not bringing the car. But I might bring the pics so he has an idea of what the damage is. I hope he can give me a good deal.

Well I'm going with my dad on thursday to our local bodyshop(my dad has used them before) to talk to the guy about repairing the body and the paintjob. Do you guys have any idea of what it might cost...maybe a ballpark range? Heres the damage... The first one's been enhanced to show the damage on the rear panel. http://img254.imageshack.us/img254/3601/hjhgujytutrja8.jpg Here's an unenhanced one. http://img264.imageshack.us/img264/3795/jhkkaz7.jpg Heres the front end damage http://img254.imageshack.us/img254/5316/uhiouodg4.jpg

    Any AURA redline info?
  12. i washed the saturn today...the paint is almost showroom shiny(with the exception of the painting mishap i had with the drivers door) and the car looked amazing and so reflective...until the sun shined directly on the paint which showcased those evil little scratches. That's why I like light colors for everyday driving...they hide most of that stuff.
  13. Dark cars always look better when the suns going down...otherwise the sunshine shows off all of those fine surface scratches, which i completely hate.
  14. Dodgefan! dont question the magnifacant piece of art that is the ever beautiful millenia!!! well...thats how its been described by BV
  15. My dad is definetely putting the buick under his name...Insurance rates for teens are nuts!

There's a car that I've seen twice in my life..It's from the 90's I think. Above the beltline is all glass...There are windows within the windows...if that makes sense. From what I remember, the whole top of the car is glass(safety issues?). Anyone have any idea? Here's my "extremely well" drawn diagram:
