  1. it might be...the lowest it goes down to is 30 mph...i wonder why they dont put that on modern cars...its such a good idea! i just told my mom about the buzzer thing..she was like "thank god, you always go over the speed limit!"
  2. you amuse me
  3. Well, hardy har har har to my discovery today, I found the cruise needle laying down in the bottom of the speedometer! so I took some plyers and turned the now not dummy knob and the little needle popped up! So YAY! I have glide to speed cruise control...which I can now claim that my 41 yr. old electra is better equipped then my 9 yr old saturn.
  4. Seriously...it does nothing...and the 1967 riv brochure had the same knob in the same place and it was for cruise...and bal said theres no cruise components thereofre I have a nice rare base custom with a rare GM dummy knob. Honestloy the original owner who bought it only bought it for food shopping...plus she was 60+...therefore im sure she didnt order any special options.
  5. nothing
  6. Heres underhood
  7. Heres a clean closeup of my speedometer... and heres a loaded 66 with the same thing...
  8. Yes indeedy....that must be where it is...same exact placement as my car...ill try it tomarrow...thanks!
  9. bal- ok? lol go on your mission!
  10. I checked all the warning lights...2 turn signals, hot/cold temp, and e-break...thats it due to the fact thats its the base custom..it might have been there for the cruise control...which it was probably never equipped with. who knows...who cares and no, there is no trip odom.
  11. I went down the street 30+ mph and still it does nothing!
  12. Shockingly, I found my car...apparently it's famous for killing Jayne Mansfield(basically the anna nicole of the early 60's) please ignore the dead body it was actually in a museum!
  13. o my! I guess there's something good about Chrysler interior materials after all!
  14. The wiper adjustments are controlled by the wiper knob....not this little mystery knob...ill see if anything happens withit while the car is in motion when I get home.
  15. I've tried everything but it does nothing
  16. Does anybody have the slightest clue as to what this little knob is below the oil/engine light? I tried to pull/push/turn it...nothing happens. BTW, this is when I first opened the car after 3 years of sitting outside.
  17. Actually I think that is beautiful...just not practical. But alas, I do wish there was more color in interiors today
  18. What happend to color???
  19. What do you think of when you think "American Auto Industry" You think bold, mucular and powerful. At least Chrysler is following that idea.
  20. interior pics!!!
  21. We have lovely ice pellets falling from the sky! so much fun to scrape off of the car.
  22. You guys are gonna laugh....but this is true. It all started in Feb. 2004 when my parent were flipping through channels and stop at QVC because saturn was offering a free $1000 coupon off of all models...so we ordered it and went to the saturn dealer to check out the vue....we ended up not buying anything but ever sinc then I've been obsessed with cars and trying to get my parents to buy new cars.
  23. Chrysler was doing well until after the pacifica in my opinion. Their products(except for the 2nd gen cloud cars) were pretty well assembled and quality was good. To me Chrysler was best between 98-00. The cars had the most modern and sleek exteriors of the time and the interiors were well made. Also, pricing was so much better. The "midsized" cloud cars ranged from $14-21k while most others started at around $19k. Stupid benz had to ruin everything.
  24. Actually I look at a lot of new cars closely...and their paint finish is just like that...reminds me of a fridge
