2007 Silverado & Sierra HD Press Release
Quadrasteer was way to expensive to engineer and maintain. I'm glad its gone. A friend of mine had it on his truck and had nothing but problems with it. Nothing like your truck doglegging down the road even after multiple trips to the dealer. Overall the new HDs are impressive.

Small tires/wheels = better EPA gas mileage figures.

2007 GMC Sierra HD images!
The tailpipe looks like something out of an old cartoon you would see as a kid, the flared shotgun from a pirate movie maybe.

Toyota's Michigan Tech Center Groundbreaking
Let the competition begin. GM is working on their new powertrain center, and the timelines are close to each other for being done.

Great XLR Review
I am personally shocked that Paul Lienert could ever like a GM car. I didn't think he had it in him.

Saab 9-3 'vert review
I am stunned, I would have never thought that the Lienerts ever could review a car by GM(technically)ever in a good way. But they did, read for yourselves 5 out of 5!! http://info.detnews.com/autosconsumer/auto...ex.cfm?id=23143

No BlueTec for 5 states
Make a regulation across the board for every state that is equal instead of these certain states saying, no we have our own regulations. That way these car makers have a goal that is attainable.

Solstice GXP vs. Boxster
They do look hot even in white, and I'm not really a fan of white. There are alot cruising around the roads in Michigan, of course with m-plates on them. I hate to nitpick but they do need a little more styling cues to set them apart from the standard car. If you were not a car expert you would be thinking its the same car. Even I almost had to do a double take when I saw one.

New Duramax Diesel
It looks like the h.p. and torque numbers have gone down? Or is the 360/650 engine still going to be available?

Solstice GXP in Oct. Motor Trend
I am begining to think that the Detroit News(Lienerts) and Motor Trend are one in the same. They can find something wrong in anything, especially if it is American. If they don't like American cars move out of the U.S. and go live with the French or something. Even then Anita Lienert would find something wrong.

The Detroit News on the Aura
A little nit picky as usual. I don't understand how they gave a glowing review of the 07 Denali and then almost did a complete 180 on this car. http://info.detnews.com/autosconsumer/auto...ex.cfm?id=22811

No Production Gladiator in Our Future
Yup, DC is slowly ruining Jeep day by day, year by year. Z Germans want to make it a brand that will sell 500,000 units a year and they don't care about heritage or a loyal following. It started with the Liberty and is continuing with the Compass and the Patriot. The bottom line anymore is profit, and that won't stop. I think you will see Jeep get more and more watered down in the near future. I better get a Wrangler soon, before it's gone forever.

The Future of HUMMER
I heard 6.0L for the H3 and not the 5.3L.

The Escalade-V Cadillac never built
That Escalade is absolutely gross looking. I don't care how fast it is.
-
Multi-purpose concepts
Good idea, matched by horrible looks and it looked exactly like what it was intended to haul - refridgerators. The high pricing did not help either.

GM Response
The Toledo Blade only goes to show the trend of todays sh!t for brains media, or the let's jump on the anti-american manufacturer me-too bandwagon without researching the facts. I swear some of the news reported today is bought and paid for. These people must be sleeping with these outside corporations. Good for GM, they shouldn't sit back while the kids across the street are throwing rocks at them. Stand up fight and say - WE ARE NOT F#CKING GOING ANYWHERE BUT UP!!

The bolder face of the HD Silverado
The H/D's engine will be getting bigger than a 6.4L that someone stated earlier in this post. Ford and Dodge will have nothing again on the Duramax. The Dodge is going up to a 6.7L and everyone already knows the Ford will have twin turbos. But keep trying guys, and pack your lunches its going to be a long day.

Colorado Vs Competition
My friend has a Frontier and it is going in soon for 2 recalls and a warranty fix. The one recall I only know about and I forget the other one, anyway it has to have all the door handles replaced, the warranty fix is the a/c won't shutoff no matter what. He said the tires that came on it, b/f goodrich long trails give the thing the worst vibrations at highway speed that for the longest time he thought it was driveline related. The engine though is pretty damn good! He has the 6-speed manual and it will grab 3rd gear!! The styling inside is a little quirky for me, but all in all not a bad truck. The Colorado/Canyon should have had the L6 in the first place and be done with it. Come on 290 h.p in that truck would be kickass with that engine. I'm not sold on the L5, its quite a vibration nightmare. I don't know how Audi got their 5 cylinder engines to be so good at the time.

New York Times: Saturday, Aug 5 edition
My buddy has a Nissan Frontier, even though this thread is about Toyotas, but anyway he has to take his truck in for 2 recalls and a warranty fix. So its not just all Toyota either that problems are coming up. It seems all the Japanese manfacturers are starting to have a batch of problems.
