Complaints about it not following the bold styling of the Sixteen? Look again at the Sixteen. It's a very smooth design itself. And the Escalade is a very handsome truck. Though I wish it were more distinguished, it looks so much better than the outgoing model. Except one thing: the lower front fascia. I hate it. It looks like an open wound. Really, did Cadillac designers spend any energy on that part of the car?

Boondock Saints

Donnie Darko. I don't know why, exactly, but that movie just speaks to me.

There was a time when cars came in small, medium, and large. But then someone got the brilliant idea that every car should be everything for everyone. This led to compacts growing bigger and bigger to accommodate people better and the full-sized cars began getting tighter dimensions to make them easier to drive. The mid-size segment has been encroached upon for many years now to the point that the lines are too blurry to properly divide them anymore. Another set of terms that's been bothering me as of late has been words such as "idiot," "ignorant," "fool," etc, especially in reference to certain reptilians or large cats. Instead, let's try the term "person with whom i have a discrepancy of opinion," followed by "person to whom I no longer bother to reply," lest we end up having to use the term "person who no longer is allowed on C&G."

Yeah, they normally show a lot more respects for the classic cars they fix. They also did a really good job on a classic Mustang.

Yesterday, I saw a new Fusion and new Civic sedan for the first time. The Fusion looked pretty good, but the Civic surprised me. In pictures it looked fairly stupid, but it was much better in person. I also had a fun experience with a Honda Element. As I was walking to class (I live in an off-campus apartment) two guys in an element pulled up and asked if I wanted a ride to campus. Naturally, I said yes. After sitting in one for a few minutes, I can now see why people buy them. It's a really comfortable and spacious car. Though people who buy them for looks still baffle me.
