G6, this time for real...
Congrats Ton. I gotta hand it to you. You must really love the G6 to bother going through all you went through. I hope it brings you many thousands of happy miles. Oh, and please post some pics when you get it. :)

need a pic of the SKY emblem
I think your best bet is to find a high res pic of the Sky rear and just take chop out the car. I'm looking for you, but so far have come up empty.

Paid the dealer a visit
I agree with you for the most part, except on the part about the Lucerne's dash. It didn't give me the impression that it was a "hard" plastic, and when I pressed on it a bit, it gave a bit, as if it was padded. This one i sampled had the tuxed blue/tan combo inside. The weak link in the G6 inside is the GMCSD. It looks like it was designed after the rest of the interior was completed.

Remember the Noid?
That's hilarious. I remember those ads, but I never got why they stopped when they seemd so popular. I actually still have the "Yo Noid" video game for the original Nintendo system (before Super NES, N64, Gamecube, etc) For a while Domino's also had "Bad Andy" (I think around 2000 or so), which I think tanked in less than a year.

Word Of The Day
So was the F-bod, I believe....there was a traditional frame in front of the firewall, while the rest of the car is unibody. Croc, Satty, and anyone else wondering why the B-bod was canceled, here's a great explanation from 91z4me:

Word Of The Day
Like I said, I'm not going to aruge for or against BOF. I've never even been in an SSR with the engine running. What I'm getting at is: if you want to decide whether or not a BOF-based car is a worthwhile endeavor, to drive the SSR, since it's the closest thing to a modern BOF car out there. Don't base your statements on BOF based on the the Panther chassis or the B-body, because those are far from modern. Oh yeah, I ate some shrimp at the Christmas luncheon today, and it's really disturbing my stomach.

Honda Ridgeline wins MT Truck of the Year
Other than the Honda, how many pickups were redesigned, all-new, or significantly updated this year? I can only think of the Sport Trac, which, as much as I'm not a fan of Explorers, I'd still vote for over the Ridgeline.

Word Of The Day
Sixty8 (and Fly)...if you want to feel what a modern BOF car would feel and drive like, take an SSR out for a spin. I believe it's on a stretched TB or Colorado chassis, and has the ZQ8 suspension components. I'm not gonna argue one way or the other on this, but I think the SSR is probably the closest thing to what a production BOF would be like. The Ford triplets are dated, and won't hold a candle to the SSR in the twisties.

Fans of older Chevy performance cars
My dad's trying to get a carb from a 70 LS6 from him....he long ago lost the original carburetor to his LS6, and now wants to bring his car back ot its original state. As for me, I'll gladly take that '72 Z/28 if noone wants it.

Is Canada all that different from America?
I post this purely in jest. Please don't take offense.

<<Insert Title Here>>
That's me in a nutshell. I'm the anti-metro. I don't spend much more than $100 on clothes any given year. Not because I can't afford to, I just don't want to. I'd rather stretch my wardrobe as far as it will go, stuff that money away, and put it towards the Corvette/Camaro of my dreams.

What do you really think?
The Lucerne loses points for the 3.8L in the entry level model, but makes up for it with the low asking price for the base V8 models. I saw this car yesterday in silver with the tan/tuxedo blue interior and it was nothing short of striking. I'll gladly list it as my first "class competitive" GM vehicles. My others: Cobalt - own one and you'll understand that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. HHR - with PT, Element, Scion xB as its primary competition, it beats all three handily. GMT800s - Okay so their interios are dated, get over it. The F150s fits together better, but I don't find anything special about the design in person. Despite the flaws of the GM trucks, you'll still be hard pressed to find trucks that provide a better combination of power, fuel economy, and capability. Plus, the Avalanche has the added bonus of having no competition. XLR - quicker performance, better handling compared to the SL, at a cheaper price. The best current Caddy interior doesn't hurt, either. I wil also make an aurgument for the Impala, since it offers a heck of a lot considering what you pay for it.

Newbie's pics of TrailBlazer SS
I'm jealous. I could only dream of having cars like that. The TB is sweet....I just never understood why they bothered with the white tach.

For Satty...
Sure why not? If NASCAR were to implement rules like Fly suggested, in order for manufacturers to be successful at NASCAR, they'd be "forced" into producing a saleable version of the car they put out on the racetrack. Imagine a minivan that could win a NASCAR race. That'd be worth buying.

Boneheaded design elements
They could have at least tried to light up the whole word evenly. I can't tell you how many times I followed a PO TI C Sunfire at night.

Word Of The Day
I got smoked, badly, by an Impala SS this morning. It wasn't too disturbing, though, considering he had twice as much horsepower as me.
