I've watched "Countdown w/Keith Olbermann" since it debuted a few years ago. Needless to say, I'm a huge fan of Keith. There are too few counterpoints to Rush, Hannity, et al. In the last few months the show has really turned up its criticism of the Bush administration, and rightly so. Last night's was one of Keith's better "special comments", but they've all been pretty good. I think the state of politics is pretty sad on both sides. It's all about shallow soundbites. The problem with the current administration is that there is a total lack of accountability and check and balances. It has shown that divided government is a good thing after all.

The Colorado needs a lot of work to be competitive, but I'm not sure the polarizing looks are what it needs. The biggest weaknesses are the engine and interior. I haven't tried out the new 3.7 liter engine, but I doubt it's a huge improvement over the old I-5. That being said, I like the concept.

No on 85. If the minor's parents are abusive, that would be a problem. Yes on 87. I have mixed feelings about this because I'm not sure this is the right mechanism to fund alternative energy research. No on 88. This is a flat $50 assessment on all real property on California. If local school districts want to vote on an assessment, I'm for that, but this should not be Statewide. The initiative process in California has gotten out of hand. But the legislature is less than functional as well.

I think the '76 or '92 Seville would have been more appropriate than the '85, which had more detractors than fans.

It's great pricing, but I don't lust over this car because the looks do nothing for me. I do commend Nissan for having a very competitive, compelling vehicle.

I haven't really warmed up to the 3-Series coupe's looks, and I don't know that chopping the top makes it look better. I'm guessing The O.C. won't care for the hardtop. I had the chance to drive a 330iX recently. While it's certainly a nice car, I didn't enjoy it as much as the last generation 3-Series I drove. Maybe it was the four-wheel-drive hardware. Or maybe it was that I drove an IS350 not too long ago.

The Silverado did have four-wheel discs in '99, but the rears got changed to drums in '05 because of excessive wear and poor feel.
