  5. Oh hell yeah! That Riv is spectacular in person! I still have much more pictures, but this is a nice condensed overview of GM. I will add the rest of the show later, as I sort though it.
  6. I was at the show with buddies polish_kris and Andrew on January 22. While its a great event, we thought it wasn't as awesome as last year. Some thing intangible was lacking. But, fortunately for those who didn't go, pictures are not lacking. I took a lot, and just now have been able to parse through them. Here we go! more next post...
  7. I hate to say it (because I really want one lol)... Oldsmobile Achieva!
  8. BMW Z8! A sexy throwback to the 507, only lasted 3 years in production.
  9. Also, in person, the Venza looks nothing like an Enclave.

Very well put together! A few minor things though... I believe you have the codes mixed up. It should be: GMX614 Saturn Sky (NG) GMX617 Pontiac Solstice (NG) The current SKY is GMX023 First I have heard of GMX712.
  12. Great pictures! Thanks for sharing! Im looking forward to seeing it all in person today

Returning the Impala to its RWD roots was one of the best ideas after a new Camaro. Doing it has been another story. This program really had me dreaming, and hoping. After the Camaro concept debuted, it looked like the next sure thing. A heritage-inspired, modern, RWD V6 and V8 Impala. A big, proud car. Finally something for the Police and taxi other than the tired Panthers and W-bodys. Finally, the possibility of a true SS (of the B-body ilk). Im really dissapointed. Lets review recent Impala (behind the scenes) History: GMX210 2000-2005 W-body. Tried to evoke classic Chevrolet cues, but mated to an old FWD architecture. GMX393 2005? Proposed Epsilon-wide replacement. Would have been a bigger Malibu. Cancelled.... GMX211 2005-now W-body rehash/update. Finally, an SS with a V8, but same old guts. GMX551 2009 Zeta platform. A true, world class RWD platform, currently underpinning a Buick in China, Chevys in the Middle East, and Holdens in Australia. Was in development for NA. Now what?

Another Lumina 3.1 driver checking in. :AH-HA_wink: Ours is a 1995. Durring the summer of 06, I was easily getting 25-30mpg with 65% highway driving. Lately our car has been running very badly (a long story), and fuel economy went to the $h!ter. It got as bad as 15mpg (90% city). Last week, I got a bottle of Pennzoil xtra concentrated fuel system cleaner, filled up the whole tank, and drove the snot out of it. Guess what? It worked. Fuel economy right now (with 90% city driving) is right around 24mpg (by my estimate from half a tank so far)!!! Im thinking that the injectors were gunked up pretty good. The car now drives like new, and purrs like a kitten. 3.1 V6's are fantastic motors. A co-worker of mine had a 1990 Lumina 3.1 sedan. He got it for free from a family member (with 250,000 Kilometers...155,342 miles), and managed to take it to 340,000 (211,266 miles)! He has since got a Mercury Villager, but the Lumina resides at his mechanics shop. He tells me that the mechanic doesnt have the heart to scrap it.
  19. I really like the Mazda Furai.
  20. Cars.com has a video of the concept driving to its showstand: Sounds really nice, and looks killer.
  21. Yes, the one in the first post appears to be a rendering for a production version. I didn't want to go and post pics from Autoblog, and that was the best GM sourced image at the time.
