Spied: 2009 GMC Terrain
Looks like there's still some confusion with the Theta platform. A lot of sites still cite that the BRX and 9-4x are on Theta. I thought they were only related but the platforms were fairly different?

2009 G6 Changes Posted
I think that was because of the structure of the 'vert. The 'vert never got the same transmission options, and also because of exhaust routing, the power is down on a vert. Potentially to put the 3.6L in, significant costs are required.

GM @ Beijing '08: 2009 Buick Excelle Preview
I like the refreshed interior, but as far as the exterior goes, the old one looks better, even though it looks just like the Optra. The rear doesn't look right, especially on the rear quarter view.

What's your beef with Toyota?
They're overrated, and I hate how people always put it as if it's the de facto standard when it comes to buying a car. And their cars are soul-less. You buy one because you need one, not because you want one.

Pontiac Ponders G8 GXP Coupe
Don't forget we still have the option of a Turbo Ecotec, although I think the majority of these babies will be fitted with the 3.6L. I really wouldn't mind a Club Sport barebones model as a pure-bred driver's car.

lexus....prius?
The Prius was for people who has more money than brains to start with. A Lexus-badged version takes it to a whole new level.

Pontiac Ponders G8 GXP Coupe
Actually on a second look, doesn't really look like that much of an April Fools. It was posted yesterday... Although it still looks very "choppy" to me. And Sixty8's not going to be happy with that B-pillar.

2009 G6 Changes Posted
Well actually I rather not. The bowtie would actually look rather ugly in the G6's centre stack. And I think GM's trying to move away from the corporate radio.

2009 Malibu, Malibu Hybrid, and Cobalt Changes Posted
Yes, but why would they do that? I thought the Malibu Hybrid is sold in China now as well, so why delete a "global" feature?

2009 G6 Changes Posted
I think it's just relatively the G6 is getting long in the tooth, especially with the Aura and new Malibu around. The Malibu was redesigned in 2008, and the last one came in 2004. So a 4 year span. After all the mid-size segment is very competitive.

Glad you stuck with the G6. They've made a lot of improvements in the 2008.

GM @ NYIAS: Solstice Coupe
I don't get it, now since it has a fixed glass, can't they do it there and have the rear window mesh type? Yes, I give it that it takes a bit of rearview away, but it looks better than this.

Much better view of the CTS Coupe
More pics, open door. http://www.leftlanenews.com/cadillac-cts-coupe.html I'm inclined to think that there's a B-pillar under that canvas.

Camaro Engines? 4 Cylinder Turbo considered by Lutz
While I do agree the 4-cylinder sounds like a base, but I still can't get my mindset straight with how can the turbo'ed 4 can be cheap. I've yet seen a cheap car with a turbocharger these days (well, minus the keicars in Japan). Also, doesn't the 3.6L take regular and the 2.0L DI Turbo take premium to get the rated power? I can't see the budget minded putting premium in their car. So I can't see the value in there, a 2.0L Turbo will almost be as expensive to operate as the 3.6L. Unless we ARE talking about a Hybrid Camaro here and leave the 3.6L be the traditional base...

Geely GT Concept
When reading Autoblog, you look at the pictures, not the text. Fixes a lot of high blood pressure issues.

You know, it just occured to me
I think at Pontiac at this point can use a little tweaking in its marketing. Forget 50 Cent. Put every Pontiac a race, nothing says performance more than that. The Solstice in SCCA and drifting, GXP.R in ALMS is the start. If the next gen G6 comes on Alpha, put that in ALMS and market the hell out of it, or put the G8 in it. Create a feel that "from the track to the road, Pontiac has you covered." Have race inspired technologies in the cars, if possible. This is the marketing direction that Pontiac should take, IMO.

Geely GT Concept

Pontiac G6 GXP Street Package
Thing is... if it wasn't for the stupid grille, it would've looked decent. I made some chops. Street Ed: The red one actually looks hot.

Pontiac G6 GXP Street Package
This thing is hideous, hands down. And it's coming from someone who owns a G6. And I'm not alone. There's plenty of other G6 owners who share my view, and are ashamed to be associated with this heap of junk. It's not even worthy of the GXP badge. The next gen G6 can't come soon enough.
