Spring Hill to build Chevy Lambda
No GM needs a top of the market, every feature under the sun, ultra competitive MINIVAN. GM, Ford, and Chrysler can't just keep giving up segments because they aren't doing well in them.

NYIAS: Chevrolet Trax, Beat, & Groove Concepts
Those headlights have a similar feel to the Camaro concept's, not the housing but the light exit point.I am digging those tail lights. Again the headlights look like they use the same tech as the Camaro concept.

NYIAS: Chevy Trax, Beat and Groove
Damn, what do I vote for I like all of them SO much! I know it doesn't sound like me but I think this would be RIGHT up my alley now if I were buying, it would be easier to save for the next Camaro if I am running around in a 1.0 diesel or a turbo 1.2L gas burner. The Groove meshes so well with GMNAs current design trends but the Beat looks like a pissed off Aveo on steroids, but smaller. The Trax while cool as a super mini suv, with AWD no less , looks like the furthest away from production. But does show that GM has options on styling. Could this influence the next HHR, I think so. I don't want to vote until I see the interiors on all three. That may sway one way or another. BTW anyone want to give a guess as to the cost, yes I assume they would be built in Korea or Mexico and I am ok with that because I don't think GM could sell one for $12K.

Anyone buying Test Drive Unlimited?
You sure that isn't a Grand Am?

I'm headed to Detroit & GM...
Chris, it was what I thought. An aside are the numbers randomly assigned or do the numbers of GMX/GMT codes have any specific order? As in the previously planned Chevy Zeta coupe was GMX284 and the new one is 521. Does it indicate size or cost or platform? I know you aren't in on the meetings deciding codes but I am sure you hear and see enough to figure things out.

GMC Sub-Theta on the way?
You might want to think before you make a blanket statement like that next time. I live in Missouri and see a LOT of FWD based crossovers, HHRs included. I lived in western KY previously and saw plenty there as well. Also when I lived in central KY. I would also be willing to bet that the majority of SUVs and crossovers sold are 2wd only with FWD only ones making up a pretty good percentage of their respective model sales.

Chevrolet Prepared to Unveil Three Minicar Concepts Next Week in New York
Don't forget the 2.9 L Atlas I4 in the Colorado/Canyon.I think a small displacement V8 could be cool but only in a boutique brand in small quanitities. It just wouldn't be as economical to produce as say a large displacement I4.

HD Question
Tex, perhaps instead of asking why GM doesn't go back to SFA you could give us a reason why one is needed. As far as wanting 4.10 gears because you are putting larger tires on it, that sounds like the aftermarket should be providing that as the stock tires seem to need work well with the 3.73s.
