Honestly this thing only looks wide enough for 1 person.

GM deal leaves 15 factories pondering future
IDK but the Wentzville UAW was picketing pretty strongly during those couple of days. Made the news each morning.

AWD in C7's Future?
I don't know how a front engine, rear transmissioned car would be able to have an AWD system. It would need like 3 torque tubes or something insane.

Kappa cars to move to Bowling Green ~2011
I am thinking Willmington could end up as a quasi experimental plant. Think about it they set up the Kappa tooling SUPER quick and it went off without a hitch. What if they used Willmington to develop/improve build techniques and produce different cars than normal, like make it an E-flex plant that makes E-flex cars for the whole world! Or just use it to start initial production of high publicity programs so the large volume plant can get up and running and give the programs a jump start that other companies don't have.

GM US Production Schedule/Timetable through 2013
These aren't 100% set in stone. And PCS has access to a lot of information that we are not privy to, so lets not jump on him for his speculation.

GM-UAW Contract Negotiation Updates
W/ that a HUGE burden is unloaded from GM. If GM only gets the UAW to self fund half of the $50 Billion obligation it reduces their burden by $25 Billion dollars, that is freaking HUGE.I guess we know where the Volt funding is coming from.

Edmunds drives '09 Honda Fit
Can someone tell me why a sub compact like the Fit needs 10 cup holders?

Toyota takes a swipe at GM's E-Flex
How about the Airbag?GM developed the technology and not only put it into production but also FREELY gave all its data for Airbag technology to the WORLD! Name a single production car today, except that a few RARE exotic models, that doesn't have an Airbag. Now if Toyota REALLY wanted to be as game changing as you say they are then they would not only have developed the Synerdrive technology, but they would have distributed the data and patents freely to the world.

Chrysler, Honda announce auto recalls
Interesting thing on the new was that the Chrylser recall made the local news and the Honda wasn't mentioned at all. BTW I get to tell a coworker today that his Civic has been recalled!

Chrysler, Honda announce auto recalls
A former boss of mine had the factory tires on his RSX come off like 3-4 times before. He said his tire came off, it may have been the wheel or the seal b/t the tire and wheel may have broken loose somehow.

Pontiac moves up production of 2009 Vibe to Q1 2008
Dump the Vibe. Make a Pontiac hatch from a modified HHR. Give it the 1.8 from the Astra and an economy geared transmission and it will meet or beat the Toyota 1.8 in economy.

I reached a new milestone today
I have a Wii, though not a lot of games. I have Wii sports, Wii play, Super Paper Mario, NFS Carbon (though no D*MN Camaro concept in the game!). I am definately getting Guitar Hero 3 for the Wii when it launches this Christmas.

Volt will be road-tested next spring!
I agree. As much as I am a proponent of RWD V8 cars and performance something like this would fit the bill for me very well. I will be graduating in about 3 years and will need a family car, preferably something economical as I will have lots of loans to pay back. Once money is in the bank and cash flow is good THEN would be the time I would buy my high powered sports/muscle car.

CONCEPT: Volkswagen up!
Would the rear engine be an idea to get over the front pedestiran impact standards while still utilizing a fwd based drivetrain, while also improving handling?
-
FRANKFURT: 2008 Mazda6
Not if the dumb asses at Ford US would just import the D*MN Mondeo from Europe.

GM Design Chief Talks Competition

FRANKFURT: Opel Flextreme Concept
This looks a lot like the Chevy rally concept from a few months ago. I guess this will be a clue of the next Gamma car, so Opel Corsa.

In an effort to help the Struggling Toyota truck Program
NO. As a born Kentuckian and legal resident of KY I can't allow this. If ANY vehicles are fitting to wear the KY heritage it is the Ford SD trucks, Explorer, or of course the Corvette!Besides the Camry is made in Georgetown not Louisville. And Cadillacs are the official car of the Kentucky Derby!
