FIRST LOOK: 2008 Chevrolet Malibu
Hmmm... I love the front end and the sides are fine. The rear end looks a bit unfinished though I see the designers were trying to emulate the Corvette (ie. how it quickly goes vertical). I would have rather had the traditional circular taillights instead of a flat-ass Avalon/G35 wannabe. The interior is a mixed bag. With the subtle tan two-tone and no wood, I think it looks acceptable/good. However, the wood/chrome combination looks horrible and the in-your-face two-tone colors will turn off buyers in this segment, IMO. Most of the photos make the interior look like an Aura in drag (thanks Reg). Overall, it's a good effort (better than the Aura, IMO) and it puts the Malibu in the center of the midsize pack. I doubt it will set the sales charts on fire, though, and steal a considerable amount of sales from the segment leaders. Edit: Out of the Epsilon triplets, I'd take the G6. I'm serious. Edit x2: Out of the Epsilon quads, I'd take the G6. I'm serious.

Nissan unveils Rogue CUV
sciguy_0504 replied to DetroitNut90's topic in North American International Auto Show in Detroit (NAIAS)The interior looks pretty nice. I'm liking the chocolate brown color. The exterior needs some work, though. It looks like it was designed by Hyundai, like it's the next-gen Tuscon. I guess the transition from big Murano to small Murano hit a bump somewhere along the line.

Prius to get big brother with 2.5-3L engine
That movie was being played all Christmas day and it was the first time I saw that portion. I died. I've never seen it from start to finish, though, in one sitting.

Prius to get big brother with 2.5-3L engine
They also mean a midsize vehicle that people will recognize as being a hybrid. The Prius is for people who want to drive a hybrid and make it known. The Camry Hybrid is for people who want to drive a hybrid and blend in, they don't care about pushing it in people's faces.

Jeep Trailhawk & Chrysler Nassau
I'm with you. I think the Trailhawk is nasty and it incorporates some of the nasty design features found on the Compass. It looks too overdone. I think the Nassau looks good, luxurious even, and Chrysler would benefit having it in its lineup. I think it fits the Chrysler brand. The only problem would be how the production version turns out. If it's anything like current DCX products it would be doomed from the start.

Mario Lopez. On one hand he's a good choice; attractive and popular with certain segments of the population. On the other, he may outshine the cars.

Christmas weekend is upon us
Friday night: shopping. Saturday: relaxing. Sunday: Polish Christmas Eve. We have a few family members over to eat seven types of seafood (mind of like the Italian Christmas Eve, I believe) and some Polish stuff, most of which is nasty so I won't go into detail. Monday: Christmas. My family will host about 15 people for the day. I'm making fresh cranberry sauce and a dessert. This will be the first year ever we have hosted Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas. This is what happens when extended family moves away.

Love the new look, too, along with the features. Nice job!

Lincoln MKR Concept
I like the front end but the rear needs some work. I really like the modernized yet traditional Lincoln dashboard, though.

More Jag C-XF Pics
Much, much better. IMO, this doesn't look refined, elegant or luxurious at all. It looks thrown together.

Preview: Mercedes-Benz Concept Ocean Drive
sciguy_0504 replied to Variance's topic in North American International Auto Show in Detroit (NAIAS)Sexy, luxurious and somewhat over-the-top. The wheels are horrible and the headlights need some work but I'm pleasantly surprised by this.

sciguy_0504 replied to Variance's topic in North American International Auto Show in Detroit (NAIAS)That's a good point. I'd only even think about buying one of these if I was a courier or something in a major city. You would not find me driving in the suburbs or on highways in one.

Spied: 5-Series facelift
I love the 5 but I'm not a fan of the 3 or 7...weird. I do agree that most BMW interior look cold and heartless at least in black. Tan/brown works better, IMO.

MADE IN USA
Some of the more expensive clothing I buy (A&F, J.Crew, etc) is made in the USA. A couple of things I have seen or purchased recently have surprised me but I can't remember them.

"Oh, the men I have met off CRAIGSLIST..."
My thoughts: Country good ol' boy = hot Virgin = hot Good looking virgin = hotter 1-minute man = who cares? Thanks for sharing, I had a nice laugh. She seems stuck up and full of herself so it doesn't surprise me she would post something like this online and brag about banging 34 guys. IMO, 34 guys in a year is more than pushing it, especially off CL! Nasty.
