The global warming scam unravels
I absolutely agree with part one of your statement, and part two seems very reasonable, but I just don't think the Earth is as helpless as politicians say it is. I think that we really should research every source of clean energy possible, but that doesn't mean that we are the cause of every 'terrible' thing happening to the environment. Off subject, and probably as much BS as every global warming exists rant, I actually read an article about how certain "pollutants" actually break down in the atmosphere and become O3 which helps rebuild the ozone layer. Could put an interesting twist on pollution...

The global warming scam unravels
I'm not saying that human pollution shouldn't be reduced, or that alternative energy sources shouldn't be used, but the last time I checked, the Earth goes through NATURAL heating and cooling cycles...it's just what it does...for example...Wyoming used to be a prehistoric sea...that's why there are fossilized sharks teeth everywhere, it also used to be a thriving jungle full of plants and animals...hence so much coal...but, it was also covered in huge masses of ice...all of this BEFORE automobiles, coalfired power plants, etc...we should just learn to deal with the fact that Earth has many weather patterns and cycles, and then do our best to minimize the impact we do have on it...

2009 COTY and TOTY Contenders Announced
Random question...What is the distinction between the Traverse that makes it a truck, and the Flex that makes it a car....I thought they competed in the exact same class...

2010 Mazda3
I would have to whole heartedly agree...too bad. They ruined one of the best looking compact cars...

2010 Lincoln MKZ
I'd like to apologize in advance for this rant because I'm usually just here for the info and entertainment of the forums, but here I go anyway. I don't see what everyone is bitching about! It may not be revolutionary, but it is technology packed, has a family resemblance which I, at least, find attractive, and it is a fairly thorough update. Compare this to the pathetic attempt at an update to the G6 and all of you should be praising Ford for their efforts. Not only on this car, but in general it appears they are trying much harder than GM is despite also being in bad condition. And for those of you who complain that it is front wheel drive, all I can say is SHUT THE HELL UP! I totally agree that a luxury sedan should have rear wheel drive purely for the dynamics associated with it, but if Volvo, Lexus, Audi, and Acura can get buyers to flock to their UGLY (Lexus and Acura anyway) vehicles, then that is not the real problem. Also it offers AWD just like most others in the segment. I would like to applaud Ford for at least doing something rather than sitting around waiting to fail, and I'm usually not even a Ford fan.

Time To Buy American
+1 That one line was worth the whole article! And I totally agree that people should really look at these cars because we all KNOW that most of them are at the very least competitive with the rest of the market. Even though, I'm on of these people, I also liked the line about the lattes making society fat...ha ha Then again the most unamerican vehicle I've ever owned is my current Grand Cherokee...because it was sold by DaimlerChrysler

another one bites the dust...
This is hurting all kinds of things. I was just at an annual engineering conference and when I went to the career fair, many of the automakers, domestic and import, weren't even there this year. The lines at all the automakers booths are usually some of the longest, but GM was turning all their potential employees and interns away. Ford was the only company with a line of interested parties. Too bad they can't even afford to find the talent that could help put them back on top...

Nation's biggest Chevy dealer closes all dealerships
Laramie GM Auto Center is the largest dealership in Wyoming, selling everything except SAAB, Hummer, and Saturn. They keep pouring money into the dealership like they are rich. Some of it could be from their large used car inventory, but they APPEAR to be doing pretty well considering...

BLIND DATE SURPRISE
I'm with Camino...if they drove something awesome, I'd be even more stoked, but driving something crappy wouldn't really deter me from them if we had a great time...

Chrysler LLC debuts Dodge EV, Jeep EV and Chrysler EV
I think this is great for Chrysler, and the Jeep and T&C are possibly even cooler than the Volt, because not everyone wants a compact sedan...I for one actually use my Jeep for the things it's intended for, and an electric version would seal my loyalty to Jeep...GM won't even be able to offer a product to compete with Jeep in a couple years, let alone an electric Jeep.

Cell Phones
LG Venus on Verizon. Love the phone, but it has a couple major flaws that I had to get over at first. As far as the service, I love Verizon, but it's one of only three providers around here that work worth a damn...Union Wireless is too local to use nationwide, and Alltell will soon be part of Verizon as I understand it, so no need to change...

ummm... what?
One more reason I love living in Wyoming, I paid a record low of about 53 dollars to fill up my Jeep this weekend...gas has dropped from the 3.9X range down to the 3.3X and 3.4X range at any decent gas station...and the rest of them are still up between 3.69 and 3.89

The Whitewall
When I bought my 95 Regal, it has whitewalls...not sure if they were stock, but they looked really good on the white car, which had a really narrow double red accent stripe down the side...I still really appreciate the vehicle even though it got the crap beat out of it. I even have pictures from when I rolled the odometer over 100,000. Still miss the car even though it's been nearly three years since I traded it in...

Where Do You Live?
The older I get, the more I appreciate it, and I'm definitely thinking twice about leaving the area...There are very few places that seem as perfect to me...unfortunately, there aren't alot of job opportunities for mechancial engineers in the Laramie area of the state.

Where Do You Live?
So, I don't have any pictures or anything, but I live in Laramie Wyoming. It's a little college town of about 27000 people nestled in the mountains of southern Wyoming. Besides being home to the University of Wyoming and one of the LCCC campuses, it's also home to WyoTech and a ton of outdoor activities. It's also got the original Wyoming Territorial Prison. It's sometimes referred to as the Gem City of the rocky mountains, and I think it's a very fitting title. It's also been growing a TON recently thanks mostly to the university. There's actually alot of cool info on Wikipedia that is pretty accurate...you guys should check it out... I personally love it here and if I were to stay in Wyoming after college, I would definitely consider Laramie as a permanent home...Cheyenne would probably be the only other option for me in that type of situation...

Rumors Of My Demise Have Been Greatly Exaggerated
Your whole trip sounds pretty great, but I hope you especially enjoyed your time in Wyoming...most people don't seem to enjoy it as much as I do, granted I've lived in Rawlins and Laramie my whole life...I think the I-80 corridor is a bad representation of what Wyoming is really about though...

2010 Chevy Equinox Shows Off New Curvy Sheetmetal
I'm fairly impressed! I didn't think that it was going to look that good based on spy shots and the crappy little picture that got released...I suppose there still shouldn't be any final judgement until it's actually 'unveiled' though...
