The oppressive conformity of the sedan
I recently traded my Corvette and bought a sport sedan. On the first drive, I realized that the sport sedan is the best of all worlds. I need to carry my family, or a dog or two if need be. I want a fast car with a big V-8. I need a roomy car. I want a car with great handling. I needed and wanted a car that offers alot of features and value for the money with some exclusivity. I don't feel oppressed or like I am comforming to anyone with my new four door vehicle. In fact, I hardly even think of the type of vehicle it is, and I cannot see the rear doors from the driver's seat. I can only feel the shut of a rear door when my daughter and her friends pile in the back when I pick them up from school. I quickly forget its a 4 door sedan whenever my daughter's friend Ozzie tells me to floor it and I hear that big V-8 underfoot. My next purchase will be a coupe for my daughter (Camaro LT2). I am glad to have the opportunity to choose which type of vehicle I wish to purchase. I think it shows that the auto industry does provide plenty of choice out there for everyone to find the vehicle that fits their needs (first) and wants (second).

C&G through the years
That's pretty cool. I don't know some of the old posters, just the ones now since I'm relatively new. Good to see some people saying good things about other members. Nice to see stuff like that.

Truly awful day for me
Being someone who has bred and shown dogs for 25 years, I can tell you that crating your dog provides the dog a safe place that is all their own, much like your bedroom. If you do not punish the dog to the crate, or make it a place where he is unhappy, then dogs are perfectly happy to go to their crate. You know you have trained them to their crate successfully when they go sleep in their crate when you are home and the door is open. Camino, if its been so long, you should try to place one dog. Some dogs are very aggressive. They need special training. A dog that attacks another is a hazard, and if you make the choice in placing him I would contact the local rescue group for that breed. They will be able to help you. Good luck, and PM me if you have any other questions or need help finding a rescue group for whatever breed your dogs are. K.C.

Are you more courteous to Domestic drivers?
The other day, I let in a woman driving a Camry into traffic. She did not wave thanks to me. At the next stop light, she was not paying attention when the light turned green, so she got the honk.

Spied! 2011 Chevrolet Silverado 3500
I agree with 'blu on the bumper to wheel proportion issue. There are several 3/4 ton Silverados around here with big knobby tires, and they look great compared to the donut tired ones on dealer lots. Big knobby tires really do alot for the stance and the proportion of the bumper to the front end of the truck.

A tip for all prospective dads
Nuts with the most MUFA are almonds and walnuts. Gotta watch macadamias and cashews, though.

Fish Tanks
I had a 75 gallon tank. I had African Cichlids in it. They were really colorful fish for freshwater. Aggressive little bastards though.

I farted...
The other day, I was taking a friend of mine to pick up his car from the shop and he farted in my car. It smelled up my car for an hour. So much for the leather interior smell I enjoy so much.

A tip for all prospective dads
MUFA is Monounsaturated Fat. Its good for lowering your LDL cholesterol. By the way, any food with zinc in it is an aphrodiziac (or however you spell it). Strawberries, pumpkin seeds, oysters, all good for puttin some hitch in your bedroom giddyup (or wherever you do it).

Pie
Had Key Lime last night. My favorite pie is Kentucky Derby pie, followed my peanut butter pie and custard pie. I tried a "But" Pie recently. it is like a pecan pie, but with chocolate chunks and bourbon in it. It was really good.

Something Special
Typhoon and Syclone are by far and away standouts in the GMC brand history. It's the first two vehicles I thought of whenever I saw this thread.

For those that aren't REALLY into Buicks...
My favorites are the Grand National/GNX Regals of the 80s, the 64-65 Rivieras, and the late 80's/early 90's LeSabre T-types.

1978 Cadillac Eldorado with power T-tops on eBay
I am disappointed that there is no video showing how this feature works. I am very curious to see it in action. Ahhh, I miss the 70's, when pants were too short and hair too long. haha
