  1. Amazing! the way buicktroll speaks you'd think GM was doing just DANDY until Wagoner walked into the CEO office! How silly we are to think the mis-management from the 70's and up is to blame for the crisis today!
  2. Don't forget it was a POS inside. And in a "luxury car" it had ONE FREAKIN' CUPHOLDER! Did i mention it was a POS? The BIG issue with the Jaguar X-Type. Is that Jaguar was moving SIGNIFICANTLY DOWN-market with it from the ~45k+ S-type to a 29k X-Type. That's a big difference. Cadillac on the other hand, has occupied the 29/30k market with the most base CTS. I don't think Cadillac should move below 30k or abandon this market either. Jaguar was moving down (BAAD) & Cadillac is moving up (GOOD!)
  3. Oooh, i just noticed that too. i don't like that either. And my only other gripe is the guage cluster colors look to be red and white. NOOOO!
  4. Nice Decka. Appealing but different than the other lambda's. I can't read what you're calling it?
  5. can you say pop-up navigation?
  6. kick-a$$ steering wheel! sweet console, and amazing layout. I STILL am convinced there is a pop-up NAV conceled under that rectangle!

But that's not off the vehicle value, that's off the financing moneymaking potential. 0% for 72 is nothing new. GM has had that idea to clear off 06's since march. Don't think Buickman is releasing top secret information or anything. 0% for 72 would clear that inventory quickly, increase dealer traffic, and probably get buyers to trade in sooner rather than later.

omg. your signature is HILARIOUS caddyXLR-V. just made my day!
  9. PS. This only means the convertible will look even uglier! Now i fear for the Dodge Avenger...
  10. wow. there isn't much else out there today that is UGLIER than that!. it looks like they had 7 or 8 exterior designers, who didn't look at eachothers work. Just pieced their car pieces together, and called it "beautiful". The interior is okay, looks very industrial! Why can't chrysler DO proper looking air-vents? why is that hard!? I'd be downright embarassed.

it's exaclty how I expected (and wanted) it to look!
  12. god that grille looks terrible! looks like someone ripped it off the DTS, oh wait...

Could someone place the spy shots side-by-side, with pictures of the current CTS?

I'm thinking out loud, but could they then use from the B pillar forward on a coupe as is? And then the door would be long enough to allow entry into the rear seats?
  15. my eyes, MY EYES! now we're all gonna be sick...

That's what i thought too, but a "friend" was telling me. The back door is actually longer at the widest point, and a about the same size at the top and bottom. It's the front door that has grown significantly. (the backseat IS roomier and more ergo/comfortable than the current cts) The best way to compare that is two pics side by side, and you'll see what they are talking about.
  17. from Autoweek.com http://www.autoweek.com/apps/pbcs.dll/arti...24/TOC01ARCHIVE "About this time next year, Buick will roll out a more powerful LaCrosse dubbed Super. The four-door, front-drive midsize sedan will be powered by the same 5.3-liter, 303-hp V8 found in the Chevrolet Impala SS. The Super features a bolder version of the signature Buick grille and a larger, chrome-trimmed rear bumper along with a more luxurious interior. Other upgrades include standard 18-inch alloy wheels, four-wheel ventilated disc brakes and MagneRide suspension. GM says 0 to 60 mph will be less than 6.0 seconds." Nothing we didn't already know, but it sounds like (hopefully) the LaCrosse "Super" is getting a new, enhanced interior. And it'll be MY08. Now if they price it right, it'll be a hit.

the STS is loaded with everyone thing you could want in a car. But the interior is to sterile and generic, and the outside was watered down. The reason my dad got a CTS, is the same reason why he won't buy an STS. It just doesn't get provoke the same reaction. It's Bob Lutz's one error while at GM. Just make the NG longer, a little wider, and serious cosmetic enhancements will go along way!

truly HIDEOUS rims. Can anyone tell if the ventports/portholes are still on there? PLEASE be there!
  20. There is nothing wrong with a FWD G5/G6. like mazda and audi, sporty can be FWD. just the larger vehicles and coupes/roadsters should be true RWD
  21. seriously, i think it was the 2004 or 2005 winner...
  22. And what makes you think that's not the plan...
  23. I know! that would be sweet right! Hmm, i would hope for that on the next gen CTS.... I know Cadillac is going after the german brands in terms of performance, but it i know they follow infiniti to see what is getting the buyers to consider their vehicles. Where is there a demo of this for the rest of the readers to see? infiniti.com doesn't have a good example of it?
  24. that's SOOO much better. but i still prefer the press up/press down pads (a la CTS) vs. the "twist knobs"
  25. i agree, this isn't an earth shattering development or anything. back to work...
