Was this because the product wasn't going to be ready? Or maybe GM didn't want to swamp dealers with product or launch too close to the Outlook (since it's been pushed back to Jan)?

the interior is looking sharp. the exterior needs more chrome pieces pieces (HELLO PREVUE CONCEPT) and less nasty black plastic.

some kind of bright light, cobalt blue. Something like the RSX blue color.

it does seem a little less edgy. i think they are going for "cute ute". i'm assuming, however, the red line version is gonna be a lot more macho and defined in the front. if that's true, than i can deal with this for the base models.

New Pics from windingroad.com "Caught masquerading “bra-less” for the first time by snapper Chris Doane, the 2008 Saturn Vue looks to be almost showroom-ready. Sans camo, the front end reveals a pair of eagles-head lenses and lower fascia that mimics a skid plate between a pair of fog lamps. The rear reveals a high-set bumper, along with almond-shaped headlamps with round brake light elements. Note that the prototype’s rear fascia has cutouts for two exhausts, although this particular model only has a single exit unit. (Click through to the jump for more images and details!) Brenda Priddy & Co. report that the four-door GMT319 will be assembled at General Motors’ Ramos Arizpe, Mexico plant. According to her sources, the new Vue will be motivated by a 2.4-liter inline four with a choice of manual or automatic transmissions. Options may include a pair of V-6s, and reportedly not one, but two separate Green Line models. How’s that? The less advanced Green line will utilize a Belt Alternator System (BAS) with the 2.4-liter, and the second will use GM’s 3.6-liter V-6 and incorporate a hybrid system jointly developed with DaimlerChrysler, General Motors, and BMW. Downstream, Priddy believes that crossover enthusiasts can expect a 3.6-liter Redline model, which should be good for around 300 horsepower." looks sharp!

um besides the fact that it's ugly? and disproportionate? A+ GM, lovin' the new Sierra.
  7. QUESTION: what kind of fuel advantage increase would we see in a (as an example) Tahoe or Impala with a 6spd vs 8spd?
  8. i like how ESV sales have almost doubled! weeee.

that statistic about the Nissan Aramadas being used as rental cars terrifies me. Those poor unknowing renters are getting more cheap plastic than they asked for, and who know's probably likely to break down over the course of their 2 days rental.

BINGO. leave FWD for buick and the rest of the brands. There is no need for Cadillac to appease "all" luxury car buyers. A "sub 30k FWD based crossover" with a 4-cylinder, would get Cadillac laughed at in no time. Cadillac needs to stay about the 30k line. As nice as it would be for everyone to have a entry level cadillac sedan/crossover/coupe, it's not in the cards if the brand wants to retain it's exclusivity. Keep the BRX for europe please! We'll take the 9-4x though...
  11. No, b/c the SRX is a much larger vehicle, with a longer wheelbase. a smaller sigma 2 crossover would be cheaper and go head to head with the x3, and not cheapen the brand like the "BRX". Then SRX could get a little bigger, stay an x5 competitor.

haha, well now if everyone else would "get it" too. did no one see this coming? this has been common knowledge since the beginning of time? (ok ok the beginning of lambda)

this dash KICKS the crap outta the "new" G35, upcoming C-class, and probably the 3-series. (although the BMW diehards "love" that dash setup for some strange reason)

if Chrysler/Dodge can do it, so can GMC/Chevrolet. (Saturn needs a euro-type minivan) Buick & Pontiac need minivans, just as badly as Hummer needs a nice 4 door, FWD sedan. unrealistic at best. C'mon people! There are going to be people who want a nice minivan w/o the minivan look. Something smaller than the acadia, with those nifty sliding doors, but would REFUSE to consider a chevy, so why not set them up with a nice GMC?

new interior shot seen on Autospies.com article doesn't say much we didn't already now, but the pic gives a much broader view of the dash and interior layout.
  16. wow, GM really understands how to play this game!
  17. jbartley replied to Drew Dowdell's post in a topic in Chevrolet
good question! however, lutz or someone did say the grilles on the GMT-900 hybrids would have to be MUCH larger to cool the batteries, etc
  18. jbartley replied to Drew Dowdell's post in a topic in Chevrolet
aerodynamics. whatever it takes to increase the fuel economy. it looks practically identical to the Hybrid Tahoe concept.

Caddy. Rhymes with daddy. that's hilarious and catchy! BTW - Anyone see the new Caddy commercial where it shows the "wreath & crest" being hand crafted with liquid silver and jewels? Very clever, a good attention getter. I think it was on during Project Runway...
  23. snap! go XM and GM! The key to growth is more customers, and this will help!
