  1. And since when discussion only limited to what's in the article...
  2. Buy now? People should have been buying back in the the spring!
  3. the current AURA color palate is a little dull, it needs some BRIGHT colors, like cobalt blue and some electric red.
  4. Um no offense, but I don't want the radio unit in my truck to be "shiny piano black" I think if you polled most GM truck drivers they'd agree...
  5. Are you kidding me? The denali's and escalade's spend about 7-14 days on a lot, OR LESS, before they are sold. Everyone one of the 6spd transmissions the general is making right now is in a product that is bought quickly. It takes time to ramp it up.
  6. i'm LUVIN IT! it looks like they are saving pics of the nicer interiors for later. And people shouldn't compare the tundra interior to these. It's too damn busy, and talk about material overkill, these are trucks, not sports cars.

stuff like this gets me all excited! I can't wait to see that aggressive front plate on the the Avalanche!

i see lucernes EVERYWERE! And i know they aren't rentals, b/c they are mostly V8 and/or people i know, and plain and simply aren't rentals. I don't think the Charger and Lucerne are necc. competing for the same demograpic. There maybe overlap. Even the lucerne and 300 aren't going directly head to head. The 300 interior is at about the same level as the Impala. But with more hard plastic and RWD.
  9. Thank-god there isn't a Chevy Lamdba (YET!), or it could prove very damaging to Tahoe sales as well. However I think the Acadia size makes it unique that it slots right BETWEEN. the Yukon and Yukon XL in terms of usable interior space, and passenger room. Yukon might take a little hit, but I think GM knew this all along. Any idea if they can shorten the Lambda platform to make a roomy 5 seater so replace the envoy/9-7x?
  10. he gets in an H3. And in the longer edit of it, he runs out of the grocery store, gets in his POS car, drives to the hummer dealership, buys an H3, and then drives off happy. That commercial is HILARIOUS, it had everyone on the cardio machines at the gym, cracking up. That's the kinds of advertising GM needs, something that gets everyones attention, regardless if they are going to buy a hummer or not.

It's a crap-taculous review. They complain about the caddy's price, but it is the biggest and lightest in the bunch. I don't see how the jaguar which has a crappier engine, is slower, and has dubious build quality beats an XLR-V. If they wanted to do this correctly, it would be: SL 55 amg, xlr-v, and the porshe the jaguar and 6-series are not needed, as they are 4 seaters, and if you are going to compare them, at least compare ALL high performance models, not just one and then rip on it's price.

    go LUCERNE!
  13. "my question is would have been a wiser investment just to widen Sigma or do a stretched Theta and could it have resulted in less ungainly SUVs. A widened Sigma could then have been used for more Cadillacs as well" a) Sigma would have been too expensive for this application. b) i don't think theta could be stretched so far
  14. The Lambda's can't be directly compared to the Tahoe, b/c they offer more seating and more cargo area. You sould be comparing the Acadia to the Yukon XL, and THEN see what kind of MPG and weight savings you have...
  15. I'm betting it's not a standard feature, I'm sure it's a part of a premium package, or item group. Which is oK, that's how GM makes money. I don't think everyone would want a leather covered dash, so it's optional. But i REALLY doubt they wouldn't offer.
  16. And how big are those wheels? While i'm not a fan of the bajillion spokes, are the 18"? If Acadia gets 18" standard, I expect 18/19" standards
  17. the only reason the 2nd row windows have that pillar/strip is b/c they are now functional windows. the concept windows didn't work, and couldn't b/c they were to big to fit in the door. Looks pretty sweet to me! I can't tell if the dash has the stiched leather? But I'm willing to bet that's tied into some kind of premium package (FINE BY ME!) But they better off it it. where are the portholes!!!

I'm betting the sierra will start the "little more aggressive" nose treatment, and we'll see more Graphyte on the Yukon and Acadia in the near future.
  19. Hmm, better than the previous rendition we saw. The rear doors aren't quite right at the bottom, and the taillights are too narrow. Also the rear bumper isn't that "busy".
  20. ...

haha. And the charger sales are far from stellar. The problem with the 300 is the design can be a little IN YO FACE IN YO FACE. And the interior is crap!
  21. jbartley replied to Chris_Doane's post in a topic in General Motors
EXACTLY! thank-you, someone i can agree with!

a little slump? time will tell. can't say their truck line was stellar. and while their midsize sedans are due for refresh, we'll see how the general public responds to a "lightly touched up" products.

Wagoner is smart, he figures the longer he draws this out, the more pissed of kerkorian going to be (after all how much more time does a 90yr old have?), and the more bad sales figures nissan is going to have to release. By x-mas, Ghosn will be in deep trouble, kerkorian will fire off some damaging comments, and Wagoner will sail thru this saying "well it's apparent we are in a much better situation than Nissan, and don't require access to their resources to complete out turnaround" (off the record he will add "Can't touch this!)

translation: Ghosn: "GIMME GIMME NEW TOY!" Wagoner: "but you just broke your last one! (nissan) Ghosn: "GIMME GIMME NEW TOY (GM)"

Maybe for the Outlook! My bet is around 31-33k...
