  1. 1. Mustang Fastback to the Senator Restaurant for breakfast, oldest restaurant in Toronto, nice casual atmosphere 2. Alfa Romeo 8C to Sotto Sotto for some Italian. Not that expensive yet popular with celebs, no idea why other than location. 3. Jaguar XJR to Oddseoul, Korean Fusion restaurant 4 Chevy SS to Cluny Bistro, nice environment in the Distillery District, French Bistro 5. Range Rover to Canoe.. Fine dining at a height.
  2. I was thinking the next GM EV should be a compact CUV, not another subcompact.
  3. I think he was referring to its crap performance as a hybrid, not its sales figures. I cannot get into a hybrid that butchers the trunk so much the pass through is crap. When Hyundai figured out how to do this.. http://www.autos.ca/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/2016-Hyundai-Sonata-Hybrid-Limited-JP-19.jpg
  4. I think it looks decent enough not to turn off entry lux buyers (3 series etc) that would turn away from a Bolt and its generic subcompact look, and it has performance and RWD going for it, but the minimalist dash will turn some off. I don't like the lack of gauges but if I really think about it I rarely check my speedometer. If I were ordering one, the premium package, paint upgrade, and probably AWD once available would be selected. I see nothing superior about the Bolt other than having gauges.
  5. Yep something smaller than the new Tiguan by 400lbs, closer to the Equinox.
  6. Most detailed writeup I've found.. http://www.motortrend.com/cars/tesla/model-3/2018/exclusive-tesla-model-3-first-drive-review/
  7. Vw needs to build an MQB based midsize sedan with the 1.8t priced like an Accord if they want to do better in USA.
  8. Mk4 sold really well in North America, introduced VW reliability issues of the time to the masses.
  9. Accord coupe buyers will move on to a CUV or SUV just like most other coupe buyers have, or move up to a German or down to a Civic coupe.
  10. If the Volt were packaged like a Crosstrek it would have been a big success. The Bolt is a little too dorky in proportions IMO.
  11. Doesn't do much for me, I would prefer a Chevy SS or a slightly used CTS if I didn't need the cargo space..
  12. CH-R has less ground clearance than a Camry and only comes in FWD, makes me laugh thinking about how they only manage to get 31mpg on the highway.
  13. Second gen was a bit of a letdown.. But third is a really nice car..
  14. Hopefully the i30n comes to Canada in some form of the Elantra GT but I doubt it.
  15. I think the VSport and V models show fantastically enough to make anyone forget about any of the minor issues.. This guy seems to think so (second half of the video picks his top 5 of 2016)..
  16. You're right it does look like BMW.. I wonder if there will be another option aside from black and white for trim colour. Overall It looks good in a Civic and A7 had a baby kind of way, I like the lower ride height, a nod back to the early 90's Accord, and 6 speed availability. The wood/plood actually looks decent as opposed to the stuff in the CRV.
  17. At least the UConnect is modern. The bright seats pictured do help distract from the mediocre for 2009 dash.
  18. I thought the Mazda3 in 2004 was pretty good in that regard. Especially compared to the Focus of that era.
  19. Well I wouldn't pay the $$ needed for a new large car/SUV that I would want to drive daily.. But these are my picks based on what I feel comfortable paying for given other financial obligations and goals/investments I have, I'm not one to spend more than 20% of family gross annual income on a car so I'm cheaping out on the more expensive classes to adhere to that. 1. VW Golf GTI 2. Honda CRV EX-L 3. Mazda 6 GT 4. Ford Edge SEL AWD w/Cold Weather Package and SYNC3 5. Chevy Impala 1LT 3.6 w/tech package 6. Nissan Pathfinder SV AWD V6.
