Hopefully by the time another Malibu is released it will be on a new FWD platform that is more competitive than Epsilon.. One that can be 10% lighter while being 10% larger.

If only it looked more like a mini Regal it would be top of my list.. But I'd have to spend the extra cash on the ATS if I was in the market for a GM sedan soon.

They should get pretty good mpg ratings, the relatively old 4 banger/5 speed auto doesn't do too bad.

I dunno if I had a 328, I would much rather move up to an M3 than the less nimble luxury cars.

I'd love to see it here. The Buick waterfall grille would need to be tweaked to be much less conservative looking if it were to appear on this car. I wouldn't buy it though (I like the 500 but the wheelbase is just a bit too short to be comfortable for long term ownership).

I drove a 2013 Altima briefly on the weekend, 4 cylinder SL model. I came away quite impressed. The interior quality is much improved, nice seats, it handles very well for its class (much better than my wife's 09 Accord), and is priced well. The CVT would take some getting used to but at under 3200lbs and well under 2000rpm on the highway I can see how it gets very good fuel economy.

It's more likely it has an HDMI port than DVI.. (HDMI on left, DVI on right) It would be near the standard VGA port.

If your new computer has a DVI or HDMI out port for display, it is best to get a monitor that has one of those inputs.. generally better than VGA (you will need an HDMI or DVI cable to go along with it).

Hopefully the 2.5L base motor will give a nice little boost in economy and power as well when it arrives. The rear eyebrows bug me as well. Atleast the portholes I could remove pretty easily.

Ah nice to know it isn't a Verano that was prompting a bad review from you a few weeks back. Come to think of it, did you ever post said review?

I think you're right.. The Ford ecoboost, Hyundai and 1.4L GM turbo motors, atleast some of them do not require premium. In Canada it's a 8-15% difference in price at the pump depending on locale.

Turbocharged and supercharged engines require premium fuel. Huh... There are quite a few that do not.

I wonder if this motor will run on regular or premium fuel in this application. It's got a lot of appeal now, if only the rear end styling was tweaked.

I think I would be happy enough with the v6 300s.. The purchase and fuel cost savings over the life of the vehicle would be a good chunk of change.

Well even if it's the Malibu, lets face it the Camry didn't exactly set reviewers hearts afire and it's doing well in sales. The new Altima has received a very positive reception however so it will be tough to overtake it in opinion and sales numbers.

After spending time with it, is it really less boring, more appealing than an average sleepy family sedan like the Malibu you gave back? How do the back seats compare?

Nasty.. Hated the Ciera we had, it started going to $h! by the time it was 3 years old.

Yeah all the 3 series motor/tranny combos are a class above, but I think the BMW base pricing is deceving given the lack of standard equipment.
