SAAB News: Could BMW be Bidding for Saab?
Are there really many dealers left? I don't see any positive value in the brand name.

Do kids hate cars?
I can see it for big cities with good subways and people who live and work near them, but that is a rarity in North America. Even when I move near the subway this year, I'll still keep the car for ocassional use, just wouldn't spend much on its replacement.

Cheers or Jeers: $16,000 1998 Pontiac Grand Am
A Pontiac GT should have been fun to drive.. This is just another cruiser.

Car buyers steering clear of imports
"avoided foreign badged cars specifically because where they were made"... Does that include Honda buyers who prefer to buy a Honda made in Japan, or Benz fans not buying a Mercedes because it was built in Tennessee etc...

Acura News: Next Acura RL To Be Shown At New York, SH-AWD To Be Optional
I'll be shocked if it's anywhere near good looking, RL has always been a dud.

Veranos on the ground!
Hopefully the ventiports are just 3m taped on and could be removed with a bit of heat and floss

Audi News: Rumorpile: Audi A3 Sedan
I think the A4 is now a little large/bordering on midsize, something smaller would be preferable to me.

VW News: Volkswagen Says Phooey To GM's Claim Of Number One Automaker
When VW said they had eyes on being #1 a few years ago I didn't think they were even in the ballpark and now they've done it, that's pretty nuts.

Veranos on the ground!
Not my cup of tea as it leans a little too much towards comfort and traditional styling vs sport and modern (I'd see myself in a GLI before this), but I can see it having a market... ES350 certainly does well along side the IS250.

2013 Buick Encore: Comments
frogger replied to Drew Dowdell's topic in North American International Auto Show in Detroit (NAIAS)Not really a segment that interests me but if the wife wants a CUV I hope she prefers something like the CX5 to this.

Acura News: Acura Sees 45% Increase In Sales For 2012
Closest thing to a natural competitor to the Verano?

Officially Revealed: The new 2013 Ford Fusion: Comments
I'm more happy about the interior, I disliked the old dash quite a bit.
-
Buick News: Teased again: Buick's upcoming Encore
I don't mind it but I think it would look better as a regular hatchback without the extra 3 inches of wheel gap. It's a little too tall/skinny.

Detroit 2012: Another One Bites The Dust, Cadillac ATS: Comments
frogger replied to William Maley's topic in North American International Auto Show in Detroit (NAIAS)It's nice but I was hoping for a larger evolution in styling vs 2008 CTS.

Dodge News: Meet the 2013 Dodge Dart (UPDATED!)
I prefer the Alfa 5 door exterior but this is not bad and the interior is nice.
-
Cheers or Jeers: 2008 Ford Econoline
For that price I would expect the interior to have a little more work done to it. Maybe it would sell in the Middle East

Dumb Import Mechanics...
If there is no video, I'm assuming they realized before they tested

Dodge News: A Christmas Present From Chrysler, Production Of The Caliber Ends
Unless no cars should be called bad, it was bad.

Putting our money where our mouth is part 2
I try not to, it has saved me a tonne of money and allowed me to buy a place and pay off the mortgage. Besides that, I don't enjoy driving anything much larger than a compact car but next purchase practical factors will dictate that we will have to go larger. I'll think about it only when I have to.

Interactive Review: 2012 Volkswagen Jetta GLI
The rims/tires do set it off nicely... sort of how a nice set does the same for a BMW.

Toyota News: Test Drive Videos of the Toyota 86 appear
~2600lbs modern RWD Coupe? Sweet. But better with a turbo?

LA 2011: Honda's CR-V Flies Under The Radar: Comments
Not great, but it doesn't look as bad as those earlier shots suggested. Interior has been improved quite a bit.

Honda News: 2012 Honda CR-V Spied without Camo ahead of LA
Wow, just wow. They won't be building a forward momentum as a brand with that thing.
