About as exciting as a Cobalt Sedan.
  2. A good document explaining traffic flow trends in Toronto particularly highlighting the growth of "reverse flow" of commuter traffic out from the city into the suburbs for jobs. http://www.jpint.utoronto.ca/PDF/MRC_Cordon_ExecSum.pdf
  3. There have been and continue to be road improvement projects in the greater toronto area in recent years, just not much of it in the city of Toronto itself since the population and job growth is almost nil there as compared to the suburbs.
  4. Highway in question..
  5. The 401 is a good highway, having been to NY, LA and Boston metro areas in the last two years, traffic in Toronto is pretty good compared to them.
  6. It will be interesting to see how it does head on in sales vs the CRV. The porky curb weight is a bad joke just like Epsilon.
  7. Very nice! I first learned to drive on my dad's 77 Cutlass. Fond memories of that car.
  8. Your 98 Opal Blue 3800 looks just like my 99 w/Shortstar.
  9. OMG if i had to throw away $5K in insurance money a year I would work something out I so I wouldn't have to drive, when I paid $2K I was mad at the world.
  10. After the initial WTH is that reaction I had to the Civic, its styling has grown on me quite a bit. Now I think other cars in its class look too dated, boring or conservative in comparison.

Wow even the interior impresses me and thats rare for a BMW lately. As Sixty8 said, some Camaro'ish style in there. Very niiice.. How much!
  12. Meh I could see by 2012 there will be a better replacement for both CFL and incandescent.
  13. Good work.. Wish I could have gone I'll be in Manhattan 2 weeks for work after this week.

Whenever I try to watch AI I seem to turn it on when a bunch of them are trying to sing together, its completely awful and cheesy, I have to change the channel.
  15. Those rims are even worse than the Aura ones.
  16. LOL she bought a car missing wiper motors
  17. Not really, my commute is a pretty much traffic free ~20km total a day so its no big deal.
  18. Wow thats hurting, the old one looks better.
  19. I find this commercial strangely funny... http://www.boardsmag.com/screeningroom/commercials/2322/
  20. The Accord and Malibu will almost certainly be very good cars. However they will also be very commonplace. Maybe a Lucerne or Milan is a good idea.
  21. We live in a disposable society.
  22. Hmmm I walk to my main grocery store. Though its a T&T and not everyone could find what they want there. There are enough plazas around that the distance to one in Mississauga wouldn't be much different that distances you'll have to walk in residential areas of Toronto like North York, Etobicoke, Scarborough etc.Transit in the GTA has gone nowhere in the last 15 years. Its all built on the assumption people commute to downtown Toronto. However job growth in downtown Toronto has been zero over the last 15 years, and its ballooned everywhere else. I was born in Toronto and grew up in various parts of the Greater Toronto Area. I too love southern Ontario and the fact that my friends and family are almost all here is a huge plus. The ethnic diversity and amount of things to do here are huge pluses to me. My boss wants me to re-locate to the Raleigh, NC area where I spend about four weeks a year but I've managed to keep my job without having to do so thus far. Of the places I've visited or lived briefly I could see myself moving to some coastal cities like San Fran, San Diego, Boston or NYC if an excellent opportunity comes along. There are a few cities in Europe I would definitely consider relocating to for the same reason. I don't think Toronto is about to go bad, though its certainly not the city it had the chance to become since it sold out its waterfront to condo development. I lived/worked there for 5 years but I find I prefer driving, living and working out in "the burbs" if you can still call Mississauga that at 700,000 people and a net importer of workers now.
