  1. If its their goal or not, its inevitable, the writing is all over the wall (or the sales numbers and financial statements) of both Toyota and GM.
  2. By chance if you get a bad one yeah, they are horribly expensive. A friend's 5 year old 3 series cost him $5000 in a year in brakes, steering and tranny fixes.
  3. Thats a pretty silly/embarassing flaw to engineer into a car, do any other current hardtop verts require that?! Atleast it won't be a rental car staple, it would be a tough sell for families travelling in Florida or California to rent a vert that is that unpractical vs a Sebring.

You forgot a real transmission. What fun is a good handling car if you cannot control the gears through the corners. Not much at all.
  5. I can't believe an everyman v6 Honda Accord sedan can do 0-60 in 5.9 seconds, thats just crazy.
  6. The last year I've seen so many fluff crappy movies at the theater, I guess I should check this one out, it cannot beany worse than Saw II, Fun W/Dick and Jane, Four Brothers, SW Ep 3, The Island, etc etc.
  7. Meh, if its FWD they might as well not build it. If they do buid a FWD Camaro any time soon, its pretty obvious the end of GM being anything worth cheering for is near. That being said, I don't believe there will be a FWD Camaro.
  8. I remember when I first came to the site, his posts are probably what made me stick around. Very entertaining and good opinions. I've always thought it wasn't quite the same when he stopped posting here. Chief will be missed by many! Jay thank you for coming on the board, your words confirm to us how good of a man Chief was.

University of Waterloo CompSci, co-op program graduate. It was a bit of a struggle academically, but I got the hang of it by my last year and a half.
  10. The pictures are too small to see the details bud sadly I think the general public might have the same reaction when they see the real thing?

I'm hoping its atleast as good looking as the Aura, I hope we see some clear spy pics by fall!
  12. As I've matured and tried to improve myself as a person, there are some negative traits I've had to varying degrees in the past that I would like to think I've grown out of. Traits others have mentioned in this thread already, being self-centred, negative/pessimistic, judgemental etc. I've also become less tolerant of those traits in people I call friends, so yeah I've let some friendships fade away on purpose.

It looks so long/bad proportions. I hope thats not 100% accurate, I love the current coupe, it was just right.

You forgot the Vette, the Solstice and upcoming Sky, arguably the HHR. The ones that don't go to rental fleets.

The GS overall looks better, the IS is no beauty queen but if the GP influenced it, it got rid of most of the GP's overwrought styling cues.
  16. If the price is anything close to the current model, this car should increase sales quite a bit. Seems like quite the luxury car. It drives well when it works, but I couldn't count all the times my boss's three year old 7 has been in the shop, its had so many gremlins.
  17. The Mazda interior looks better without the fake aluminum look. Is that all versions of the 6 or just the MazdaSpeed?
  18. Jeez I didn't know it was longer and wider than the 300C, thats too bad.
  19. Hope the production model comes close to this! Makes the Caddy SRX look like a toy.
  20. frogger replied to KaliRover's topic in Toyota
I actually don't mind the red one.. but it depends on how much they are planning on asking for it $$ wise. Should be competitive with 350z etc.
  21. Is the GM DOHC 3.6L detuned to get its craptacular #'s in FWD applications?
  22. We can cheer for a bigger choice of mediocre V6's available than any other.
