Well, Cadillac has made that statement already by having the Escalade as its pricier model... Escalade isn't a statement... it's a leftover.

Been seeing a Tesla or two lately, and this morning I spotted a Fisker Karma out for a cruise. Really a striking car in person, too bad about their situation.

Nonsense. With this car they tried too hard, and ended up fixing what wasn't broken. This is a luxury car, not a Chevy SS - they missed the mark, and were years late in doing it. I'm, not giving them a pass on this one. EDIT: Let me put this another way. The recipe they chose for this car would have been fine - for a Buick.

That's the dealbreaker more than anything else, but I see this car as a G8 that has changed for the worse in every way. I'd be far happier with a used G8 GXP than I ever would with this car.

So I have to assume this is posted in the truck forum by accident - unless there is a Ute version no one has mentioned. At any rate, I am not impressed with the looks, content, nor price of this SS - I think they did it wrong all the way around.

Killing Avalanche was just plain stupid.

The car will be a "boarder" in the barn for a while, the owner is going to Alaska for a period of time. Car is an insane, home-built custom 2009 Mustang. Variable boost turbo (up to 27 PSI), owner-built V8, custom suspension, 6060 manual trans., and so on. The thing is a cruise missile! Just pulls and pulls until you run out of road, the wheels break free in third at the slightest throttle - but the car stays in control and straight. More details as I discover them.

I've been holding back on comments because I really don't care for any of the options very much - but I do find the process interesting. On a side note, I drove a new beetle with the turbo and a manual yesterday and was impressed. EDIT: A friend just bought it with only 7k miles on it for $18k - screaming bargain in my opinion.
