Uplander sales?
This goes to show that GM really screwed up with the Lambda offerings. Rather than having four crossovers, there should have been two crossovers and two minivans. Chevy & Buick could have the minivans (covering the low & high ends of the market) and GMC and Saturn could have the crossovers. Or switch if if you'd like it the other way around (however it is done, you shouldn't have both Buick and GMC with the same version).

2008 Sierra "All Terrain" Package
Well, I'm at work and of course the pictures are blocked out, so I'll have to log on tonight at home and see what it looks like. But congrats anyway on taking delivery and here's wishing you many enjoyable miles with your truck. Keep us updated on your ownership experience (the good, the bad, and the neutral).

1992 Oldsmobile Toronado
That's a great story Ninety-Eight. I'm glad you were able to get the car of your dreams. Your story will inspire those of us that have been wanting, but have lacked the motivation, to get what we really want. Due to my current financial situation, and the fact the SKY has yet to find a buyer, it will be a while longer before I can hope to find the '55-'56-'57 GMC I've always wanted. I looked on eBay the other day for sh*ts and giggles and of course there were like eight '55-'59 GMCs being offered. One day I too will have that classic dream truck I've pined after all these years. For now, we celebrate your success!

Is it just me, or...
Yeah well, it would have been fine and dandy if the Official-Time-Keepers would have changed my 2 year old's internal clock back too. Instead of him waking up around 7:30 AM, he was up at 6:15 AM (7:15 his time). Of course the wife wanted me to get up with him, and boy does he demand that you get up! So no extra hour's worth of sleep for me.

SEMA: GMC Yukon All-Terrain Concept
I stopped by my local GMC dealership last night to take a quick look to see if they got anything new in. They had a leftover 2007 Yukon SLT-2 with a special edition package (factory), that includes polished 20" rims, chrome door handles, chrome mirror caps, and chrome "GMC" exhaust tip. It was a loaded up Yukon and other than the color (Sport Red Metallic), I was impressed. That is until I walked around to the front. If it had the Sierra's clip like Ted's photochop, I'd be more inclined to really like it. GMC needs to do something with the Yukon/Yukon XL front-end design. I understand GM wants the SUVs and pickups to be different externally, but the face just doesn't work. And the SEMA Yukon All-Terrain concept using the Yukon Hybrid's 4-bar grille doesn't make much of a difference to me. Keep the Chevy SUVs and pickups different because those designs work, but I think GMC should put the Sierra design on the Yukon lineup. Or to be different a little, redesign the headlights for the SUVs like in this other !!!TED!!! photochop:

Autoblog says H3T confirmed
I'm excited by this news. I really like the H3, but I'm not 100% sure I want to go with another SUV (I really want a pickup). I like the Canyon, but I prefer the Sierra more. However, if the H3T looks good and isn't priced too high, it may pose a problem which truck I decide on.

2008 Sierra "All Terrain" Package
That's great news! I can't wait for you to get it. It looks like I will be waiting until my AURA lease ends (Nov '09) before I can get myself a Sierra, so reading about how you like the truck and your ownership experiences will help me pass the time. That is unless I get tempted earlier and get rid of my AURA (CarSense is building a dealership 1 mile from where I live and will be opening spring of '08 - maybe they'd buy me out of my lease?!?!).

A History of the Pontiac Grand Prix - By Don Keefe, 1973 - 1990
I grew up with an '83 G/P LJ that my parents bought new and kept for 10 years (replaced in '93 with only 70,XXX miles on it). I was heartbroken when they traded it in (supposedly got $1,000 for it, but I know that was not the actual cash value of the trade). It's the car I travelled in from age 7-18 and of course learned how to drive (had to use my cousin's '83 Regal for my driver's license test b/c it had a bench seat whereas the Pontiac had the buckets). I miss my mom's old Pontiac and keep an eye out for one, hoping one day to get one for myself (there is one similar to my mom's, but with T-tops, parked at a gas station in the Moorestown area... if I had $$$ available, I'd be tempted to see if they'd part with it).

SEMA: GMC Yukon All-Terrain Concept

SEMA: GMC Yukon All-Terrain Concept
Sierra All-Terrain, hands down. While I like the new Yukon, I'm not 100% crazy about it due to the too soft front-end design. And while I like my Envoy, I'd much rather have a pickup. If I went with another SUV, after the initial "newness" wears off I'd still be wishing I got a pickup truck instead (the exception would be an Yukon XL - don't ask me why though!). I will say that I'm disppointed with GMC for not putting the Sierra's front clip on this Yukon concept, much like Chevy put the Silverado's front clip on the Suburban Z71 Diesel concept. If that was done, I'd probably be more interested in this SUV.

Can Y'all Say Savannah, GA?
PCS, I'm a little confused. I thought you were going to be in Europe for a while, and even had your GXP shipped over there? Why the change back so quickly???

Dammit
We've had a very warm fall so far in southern NJ. It was back up into the high 70s/low 80s last week and the rain yesterday finally pushed the temperatures in the more fall-like 60s(of course it's raining out though). Last weekend we were in HersheyPark for "HersheyPark in the Dark" (Halloween event) and it was very warm and nice out (I didn't put on my fleece pullover until 7PM). That makes two weekends in a row I spent in Hershey (AACA car show the weekend before) that I was in jeans and a t-shirt (not usual for this time of the year in that region). Hey von, make a snowman for us C&Gers who won't be seeing snow for a little while longer, or none at all!

A GMT-900 in our future?
I'd suggest a GMC Sierra, they're very stylish, nicely optioned, and are professional grade. A Silverado, even though it's a Chevy ( ) would also suffice. But I'm baised towards GMC and would recommend a Sierra if they are indeed set on a pickup. Plus it will come in handy moving you and your belongings into college next fall!

2008 Sierra "All Terrain" Package
Well, you can order an SLE2 (3SB) Extended or Crew Cab and upgrade the seat covering to leather, but you don't get the 10-way power seats (AN3), you stay with the SLE's 6-way buckets (A95). However, you retain the "pure pickup" dash instead of the SLT's (and SLE2 and SLT All-Terrain's) "luxury" dash. I'm sure other features that are SLT-trim specific aren't available either or must be optioned, but it depends on what exactly you want. As for the woodgrain trim in the SLT, I do not see anything in the ordering guide to indicate that you can substitute the wood out for the aluminum trim.

GM @ SEMA - 28 customized vehicles
I noticed that too after posting those pictures earlier today. Of course I'd rather the production ones be more like those concept ones (especially with the depth of the rim). I just thought I'd sound like a "crazy" if I happened to mention that (not like I'm not obsessed enough with the Sierra!).

2008 Sierra "All Terrain" Package
The two-toned interior is Titanium (silver) and Ebony (black), not white. But I agree with you that unless the owner takes the time to clean it often, it will show dirt easily.

GM @ SEMA - 28 customized vehicles
Okay GM, either make the damn accessories available or stop dangling the carrot in front of the horse. Enough with all of this teasing since the non-HD Dale Earnhardt Jr. "Big Red" made it's debut a year ago with no promise by GM to make it available to the consumer.

Bought a 77 Cutlass Supreme on Ebay
That's cool that you have an insider that can get you cool GM memoriabilia like that. If possible, can you take a pictre of that poster individually so I have a more clear record for my search? Any please take more of your collection... I'd definitely like to see what else you got. BTW, I've already searched eBay for that poster with no luck so far.

Bought a 77 Cutlass Supreme on Ebay
Awesome pics of a beautiful Cutlass! I know it will be hard parking it for the winter, but just think of all the fun you'll have next spring. I saw something that caught my eye in this one pic you posted (it's the GMC fan in me): Do you recall where you got the 1999 fullsize pickup truck poster (sketches of the Silverado & Sierra)? I have a magazine article that featured those images, but have never seen them anywhere else. I will be searching high and low for that if I can even find one today.

2008 Sierra "All Terrain" Package
Well I can confirm once and for all that the SLE2 Sierra "All Terrain" model does feature the SLT's Luxury dash and not the regular WT/SL/SLE1 "Pure Pickup" dash. A GMC dealer about 30 mins south of me was indicating that they had (courtesy of GMBuyPower) a Stealth Gray SLE2 Crew Cab with the "All Terrain" package. I got a chance to see it at 7PM tonight (too dark for pictures), and it was definitely the SLE2 (cloth) and had the same dash as pictured on the website and hero card. I will say that the 18" rims and 4-bar chrome grille look much better in person! I will definitely keep this truck on my radar, although I'm still not ruling out a regular SLE2 Crew cab w/o this package.
